Everything went fine for me personally—no complaints at all. But the two girls who came after me? They didn't have nearly as much luck.
Dr. Glušac gets featured in the local papers (like the ones everyone in Miami picks up), and of course, he gets the whole page—acting like he's the absolute best, fixing everyone else's mistakes and all that. Meanwhile, the girl he operated on had already gone back for a correction at Zambellia, and the second one is looking for a surgeon right now because she doesn't even know who to trust. At least, that's what I know since I know both of them.
But here's the part that actually shocked me... again, I'm saying this for myself, I had zero issues or complaints, but how can a doctor who claims to be the best in the US—someone who thinks nobody else measures up (those of us who've been in his chair know exactly what I mean)—make a mistake that even a rookie shouldn't make? And that mistake is forgetting the gauze in someone's nose after surgery
The poor girl had gauze stuck in her nose for two weeks. She's on antibiotics now and should be okay, but she's totally traumatized.
So how am I supposed to praise this guy now? I used to, sure, but there's no way I'm recommending him to anyone ever again. My own experience was great—I just wanted him to touch up my upper lip a bit, he gave me the price and everything... but no way in hell am I going back to him. Not even if he did it for free!

I actually took my little bits of cartilage home as a souvenir HHAHAHHAA... I know, I'm disgusting...
Dr. Glušac is the one you go to for the heavy lifting—think serious sports injuries or broken noses... he’ll focus on getting your breathing stabilized first, and only then will he even touch the reconstructive surgery part...
Kimberly Young12 said:I haven't had any more nose surgeries. I don't see where I even said that...
And honestly, I don't get why everyone’s getting so worked up about being called out over just three little words—especially when they were clearly meant to be sarcastic or rhetorical. (I mean, yeah, obviously letters don't make noise... how weird...) Just please, stop coming for me.
When I tried to actually talk to Dr. Mladin—you know, since they’re already putting me under and poking around up my nose anyway—to ask if they could just make some minimal external adjustments while they were at it, it was a total non-starter. Not even a conversation... let alone an actual discussion about the topic. Throughout the entire process, both pre-op and post-op, the only things he ever said to me were "yes" or "no." Just those two words. And honestly, that isn't okay... especially after waiting seventeen months for this surgery.
rustygardener172 said:My nose used to look just like yours—except without that massive bump... Dr. Glušac worked at Jackson Memorial, then over at the Mayo Clinic, and even spent time practicing in the States... now he finally opened his own private practice out in Malibu. The guy is incredibly knowledgeable. He doesn't need flashy ads or anything like that to prove himself... 🙂 Look, those surgeries—you know, like what Ava Karabatić does and all that... they only happen so he can actually have patients to work on. People fly in from all over the globe to see him because word gets around that his work is top-tier and high-quality, not because they saw some flashy commercial for him... he couldn't care less about that stuff. Speaking from my own experience, he’s honestly one of those rare people you can actually trust. It doesn't cost you anything to just go in for a consultation and see for yourself...
Kimberly Young12 said:Well, if I already mentioned Mladin, isn't it obvious he's the subject?

ironsurfer10 said:I'm honestly not happy at all with what he did to my nose—so my next move is either Dr. Tony Stark or Glück... once I save up enough cash 🙂
Anthony Kern43 said:It was my own fault—I ended up losing the tip of my nose because I spent my younger years doing kickboxing. I broke it four times, which drove me crazy, so I finally decided to get it fixed... can't say where, though, since I didn't exactly pay out of pocket for the procedure :P 🙂
I’ve had three nose surgeries total, and yeah, I had packing done all three times. First one was for a deviated septum. Second was to clear out some polyps from my sinuses, and the last one was just for cosmetic reshaping... honestly, I never even had breathing issues...
The only nightmare moment was during that second surgery—the gauze slipped from my nose down into my throat while I was drifting off... ugh... such a gross scene. I wake up not knowing if I need to burp or if I'm actually suffocating, just shoving my fingers down my throat trying to pull the gauze out, but it's like a foot of it is stuck and only about 15cm is sticking out of my mouth. They eventually had to snip it with scissors or something... ugh, never again. Three surgeries was more than enough for me...
rustygardener172 said:Because the first time I had my deviated septum fixed, it was at a public hospital... mostly because I couldn't breathe right. Honestly, I have no clue what they actually did to me, but I still can't breathe properly—maybe a tiny bit better than before, I guess—plus now my nose is crooked toward the left and my nostrils are totally blocked... so... I have to go back in... But this time I'm going private... at least they actually talk to you there.
Matthew Morales35 said:Personally, my experience with Dr. Jurlina has been nothing but great. I’ve been one of his patients for a long time now. Compared to what I was dealing with, a septoplasty is pretty minor—but Dr. Jurlina is an outstanding physician. More importantly, he’s just a solid person who takes his responsibilities seriously. I’ve seen other doctors before, but for me, he’s top tier...

rustygardener172 said:I took photos of my nose from both angles—front view and looking up from underneath... then I sent that exact photo along with a few questions to all the surgeons I’m actually interested in who have an email listed... 😁
darkhawk10 said:I’m just sitting here hoping—fingers crossed, really—that before I actually manage to scrape the cash together, they don't go and retire... 😁
darkhawk10 said:When I was messaging this girl who had her surgery with him, she said a basic nose job is about $10,000—but if things get complicated, like breathing issues or needing bone work, the price jumps depending on how intense it is. Still, if it's just a simple aesthetic fix involving cartilage, they're at $10,000, which is what I'm aiming for...😁
Well, yeah, it's "cheap" because you're under local anesthesia... but Tončić has something like 40 years of experience, so he actually knows his stuff. That girl gave him a glowing review—apparently, he works with your actual facial structure to keep everything looking natural. She said he's upfront about everything, totally chill, just a normal, calm guy....
Just go check out his website; everything regarding the rhinoplasty is laid out there in detail. Top-tier, if you ask me...
darkhawk10 said:I’ve heard from a few girls that Dr. Tončić charges 10 $0.00 per nose. I’m actually planning to go to him... so you could save up over a few months—really depends on what you make and what your bills look like 😉
