Maria Bishop3 said:It all just depends on the individual—for instance, I didn't have any bruising left after about 14 days.

That’s because you’re a guy. 😉 Glusac explained to me that men typically have thicker skin, whereas mine is incredibly thin and translucent... Anyway, my bruises cleared up fast regardless. I don't know if any of you guys dealt with bruising on the sides of your mouth—you know, stretching toward the cheeks—like I did.😳
Kate Bishop47 said:I’m hoping for the best too—I actually ended up in the ER last night, and they confirmed that my meniscus has dislocated... basically twisted itself forward. They told me I need to head back home to see my specialist to figure out the next steps. Apparently, there's a chance I can fix this with some custom medical taping/bracing, assuming everything actually holds together in the end...

Good luck!👍

wiredmaker24 said:All things considered, I actually dig her look. She’s got that vibe—sort of like a mix between Liv Tyler and Angelina Jolie...

Those two have completely different noses... 🤷

Eight days isn't nearly enough—give yourself at least a month before you pass any kind of final judgment...
redranger82 said:Does anyone actually know if you can go under the knife while wearing fixed braces? Or is that a total no-go... 😁

Sure. I'm the one carrying him...
Kate Bishop47 said:Look, I’m not even thinking about getting surgery yet—and honestly, I hope I won't have to—but I used to have a perfectly normal, straight nose until this little accident happened. I was trying to squeeze blackheads off the tip of my nose, leaning forward, and without realizing how much pressure I was applying, I squeezed the right side of my nasal tip way too hard. I actually heard my cartilage pop, and then I felt this sharp, unbearable pain shooting through my teeth and my cartilage... there wasn't any bleeding or swelling, just redness, but my profile is totally messed up 😢. Now the apex—the cartilaginous part—is sticking out more, almost upwards. My nose looks shorter now, and it's really noticeable, like it's been pushed up even though the actual shape of the cartilage seems the same. I don't know what to do because I really want to avoid surgery... is it possible to just move it back into its original position since that's how I displaced it? Like, can I somehow push the apex back down to a normal shape? Right now I have this tiny, upturned nose like a pixie and everyone notices it :'(

😲 Hold on a second. You were squeezing blackheads and managed to warp your nose? Is that even possible?😱 I don't think you're going to be able to fix that yourself. Okay, lesson learned—I am NEVER touching my nose again. *puts on a Hannibal Lecter mask*
jadedriver0 said:How long has it actually been since your surgery? If you’re going to be this stubborn about hitting the gym, I wouldn’t even think about starting for at least three months—not before that... and even then, you really shouldn't be doing anything too intense...🙂

About 3 months... I've been working out since month 2...
casualgardener21 said:Alright people, what the hell is going on here? Just when I thought—hey, the most important part is actually getting through the surgery itself—you all start talking about these weird side effects.

🤣 Honestly, I was just thinking someone might get spooked by our stories. My bad. 😳

It’s really nothing... if you’ve ever had surgery or stitches done abroad, you’ll know exactly the kind of numbness I'm talking about... It's like when you hit your funny bone, only way milder, and it just happens occasionally when you make a certain face or when the weather shifts—like when it gets cold.

jadedriver0 said:and after the operation you have to be careful, no sports for at least 6 months.😉 🙂

Define "sports"? Because I've been working out. 🤷
Everything was going totally fine until about a week ago. Now, I can't stop twitching my eyebrows up and down—and every time I do, it feels like I'm pulling my nose up along with them too. 🤣
Eeeej, let's not fight about this. 🙂 I really shouldn't have even brought it up. 😵

jadedriver0 said:But you actually asked what shade Megan Fox😍 uses on her hair—I'm always lurking in those brown hair threads since I'm a brunette myself. Honestly, I think she’s a level 5, but I can double-check with my stylist if I really need to.😉:

Anyway, I'm just spiraling a bit over there. Regardless, if you happen to know the exact shade or the brand, shoot me a DM. For future reference... 😬

On another note, for anyone who had work done about two months ago—do you get that weird tingling sensation right at the root between your eyebrows, like when you lift them? It's such a bizarre feeling... almost like I actually had a facelift. 🤣
Carol Diaz31 said:I’m not even sure what you were trying to fix exactly...

Everything. 😬

My main goal was just shortening the tip—it used to dip way too much whenever I smiled, though it looked flatter when I was being serious. Now, it doesn't dip anymore and it's shorter, but since it looks normal enough when I'm not smiling, nobody even realizes I had surgery.

Did they cut that muscle above your lip? They did mine. My nose still looks a little long or droopy from the front view regardless... nothing crazy, but it lacks that feminine, lifted look.

But from the profile view, the change is way more obvious—you can really see how much straighter and more symmetrical it is.

True... but honestly, the actual size difference isn't that huge compared to before.
Look, someone who's just being reckless can use willpower to stop shoving their damn fingers down their throat, but someone dealing with a tumor can't just wish away the spread through sheer force of will.

I'm talking about mental illnesses here. Anorexia and a tumor—you can't even compare the two. Even Glück mentioned some girl once who wanted to end it all because of a botched nose job, so he sent her to a psychiatrist or something like that...😳

I was just adding to what you said about how you look down on girls who seem obviously insecure. Anyway, forget it. It doesn't matter.

Tell us more about how your nose feels day-to-day—what changes are you seeing? Is it getting smaller or narrower? Everyone experiences it differently, and that's what we actually want to know.

I don't know, I don't really think about it anymore. 🤷 From the front, it looks almost the same as before the surgery, just flatter and a tiny bit shorter. I actually like one part of the profile (🤣), though a few little things still bother me... I'm hoping it'll look better eventually.

Oh, maybe I can help you out (I'd love to)—I see you're into brown hair too. I usually go with a 7.0 shade, which I think is what you were asking about in the other thread—is that a level 5? If you want, I can ask my stylist at the Kerastase salon I go to for the exact shade and let you know?

I don't recall asking about brown hair lately?🤔 Which one are you talking about? Right now, I have no interest in going brown since I'm happy with my color. 😁
jadedriver0, you totally missed my point. It’s not about whether someone is "weak" or whatever—some things just aren't within anyone's control. People are born a certain way. Is a schizophrenic at fault for being sick? Of course not. I'm not trying to compare schizophrenia to bulimia, but who are we to play judge and decide which mental illness matters more than the others? Those extremely insecure girls you were talking about sound genuinely unwell to me... I’m not mocking them, I actually feel bad for them. Unless, of course, we're talking about the ones whose only goal in life is to become famous and be a regular fixture on the Red Carpet—those aren't sick, they're just empty-headed. 🤷

P.s. I doubt anyone here actually expected their noses to solve all their life problems. At least I didn't.

Sorry for going off-topic, but I just had to get this out there. 😢
I don't give a damn, this is still the most attractive option. 😉

I can't stand people who can't take a joke. Before my surgery, I used to laugh a lot—and honestly, I still do, just way more relaxed now.

I disagree with one thing, though—the idea that people who clearly have deep-seated insecurities should be picked on even more. That kind of stuff can wreck someone's mental health... I know because I've been there. 👎 I'll always stick up for anyone being mocked by others, no matter what the reason is.

jadedriver0 said:The ones who are truly obsessed are actually funnier—those people who walk into a room radiating such negative energy they practically suck the air out of it. No procedure is going to fix them... they'll always find a million more flaws to obsess over, picking themselves apart until they turn into monsters.🤮:

If you knew those same people were struggling with actual mental illness, would you still find them funny? Just asking. People today have such massive biases against anyone who isn't "perfect," especially when it comes to things like anorexia or bulimia. They immediately write them off as shallow idiots who just need to "get a grip" because magazines and social media brainwashed them with beauty standards, blah blah blah... Doesn't that kind of thinking make you just as "shallow" as the people you're judging?🤷
Kate Taylor59, what's gotten into you, digging up all these ancient posts?🤣 😬 Morning star was clearly just messing around...
silverlynx52 said:😂 I think so too... while I was hanging out in Chicago for a few days, nothing felt swollen at all—it wasn't even snowing then. But now that I'm back home where it actually is... it's a disaster. This snow is no joke... 😢

I was talking about that numbness and that weird sensation in my nose. My nose basically predicted the storm, and around here, we almost never get snow. Barometer/nose FTW 🧐

You're better off keeping your nose in the shade and away from the cold—direct sunlight will just make the swelling even worse.
silverlynx52 said:and then it’s being injected into me in the morning

Is your weather forecast predicting the same shift as mine?🤣>
Honestly, I couldn’t care less about my nose—everyone else seems way more obsessed with it than I am. 🤣 I just don't have the energy for it. 🤷 Whatever it looks like, it looks like it... because there's no way I'm going under the knife a second time. I haven't even made it to a follow-up appointment yet, mostly because life has just been getting in the way...
Carol Parker57 said:I’m actually aching for those photos of yours. Honestly, what you wrote here is just straight-up comedy... he's going to be reading this tomorrow... 🤣

Want to bet? Between what he told me personally—which another girl just confirmed, by the way—and everything else, he’s convinced he knows everything. He claims he can track anything through third parties or online... even though he insists he doesn't read these forums. Typical... 😍

I expect at least a decent answer to my question...

I already told you—if I missed something, it wasn't on purpose. I even said to just ask me again... but clearly, you only see what you want to see. Over and out... 🙂

silverlynx52 said:When people look at me, I feel like a total disaster—maybe it’s just because of the swelling, but I don't know... my nose used to tilt slightly to the left because of a deviation, but it was subtle. Like, only I noticed, or maybe someone would catch it if they really stared... but now, it's actually noticeable. Is that normal while everything is still swollen? I'm honestly terrified this is how it's going to stay permanently... and how many months does it actually take for the swelling to go down?... 😕 If things stay like this and he has to go back under the knife, I’m wondering... how much recovery time are we actually looking at after that first surgery?

What's the rush?...😳 It’s only been 15 days—give it a rest. Your nose is going to shift around plenty more times before this settles. There will be days where it feels like it's leaning left or right, or maybe just uneven, bumpy, or even kind of spongy... you'll definitely feel some lumps too. It’s also super common for the swelling to flare up in the morning or right after you wake up. Usually, you have to wait about six months post-op to see the real result, but Smith says you might start seeing things sooner than that...
rustygardener172 said:I wouldn't even give my own surgeon a perfect score... maybe a 4.7 if I'm being generous. My nose wasn't exactly a disaster before, it was just crooked. I know perfection doesn't exist—nobody is ever 100% happy with themselves. If I could change a few things, sure... honestly, I care less about how it looks now and more about whether that deviation comes back... I'm constantly paranoid that it'll tilt again and mess up my breathing...

From what I could see, it was pretty crooked from the front, but since it's small, it stayed that way after the surgery... I guess it's just harder to get a decent result for people like us who started with a massive bump. Anyway, I'm not going to let it get to me, even though some lady already piped up with "Well, it didn't shorten it from the front" (ugh!)—and this was coming from someone who barely even saw me clearly up close. But whatever, she's basically half-blind anyway...🥳 🙂
rustygardener172 said:I was just saying I think it’s rude—you asked me for photos and I sent them, but when I asked you, you wouldn't budge.

Look, you volunteered—mostly because you were obsessed with how it turned out—if you hadn't, I wouldn't have even brought it up. Honestly, I don't even think about that damn nose anymore. I don't look at it, I don't analyze it... I'm just done with it. And because of that attitude, people don't even realize I had surgery in the first place. 🤣
casualcanyon14 said:I feel like most of us here aren't really grasping the fact that the nose doesn't actually reach its final shape until a full year has passed...
Even if three months have passed, you can still give some kind of rating... if you really want to...

Alright. Rating: 3.8/5...😬 So, I’m satisfied—even if things didn't turn out exactly how he said they would. I'm still holding out hope, though... maybe there'll be a shift soon. Or maybe I'm just overthinking everything... 🤷 I know if anyone actually saw what my nose used to look like, they’d all be telling me, "You’re crazy, it looks amazing now"—which is exactly why I don't feel like sending photos or explaining myself to anyone... If you already had the "perfect" look from the jump, everything else is just easy.

Just imagine if I were in your shoes back then—if you actually thought you were choosing Dr. Glusac... would you have ended up with this kind of experience? Would you be acting all mysterious about it too? What even would you think at that point?!!

If he had actually ruined me, you can bet he would've made sure the whole world heard about it—he’d be shouting it from the rooftops. Honestly, plenty of girls on this forum have come forward saying "he ruined me," and they wouldn't even go as far as naming names... yet nobody ever gets called out for it either...

I posted that question publicly—mostly because I’m planning to head to the Mayo Clinic to see Dr. Glusac—but you could have just sent me a DM if you wanted... honestly.

I don't always pay close attention—I tend to skim through things pretty fast and end up missing stuff... I'll shoot you a PM now.
