I have heard that medical students often develop this constant hand-washing habit; I guess it happens when they realize just how much bacteria we carry and feel disgusted. Perhaps this is just temporary for you. Even if it isn't, as Richard Murphy6 mentioned, neurotic disorders can pass with time. If you want to speed up that process, maybe you should reach out to a specialist. I decided to do that.
I've always been a bit of a hand-washer myself😬 but lately, I've actually kind of enjoy using a scrub brush... though someone mentioned this and it reminded me that when I was little, I used to avoid stepping on the cracks in the sidewalk... but all those other things I listed earlier? I've probably been doing them forever and I can just laugh at myself because, hey... even things like how I hang my laundry—I leave my drying rack right on the windowsill, neatly arranged of course 😲 one green clip facing out, then a yellow one facing in 😬 And like I said, I just laugh about it because none of this stuff actually stops me from living my life normally, so yeah... 🙂
So, about three years ago, I had my first real blackout. I’d been dealing with non-stop stress for days, barely eating anything, and there was this massive heatwave going on. I skipped breakfast, was rushing around catching the subway, and out of nowhere, everything just went dark—my vision blacked out, my ears started ringing like crazy, and I just passed out. It only lasted maybe 10 to 30 seconds before I came to, but I scrambled off the train and sat on a bench with my heart absolutely hammering in my chest... though things settled down pretty quickly after that.
It didn't happen again until about a year ago, and even then, it was a perfect storm of heat, skipping breakfast, and being totally on edge because I was working a really gross, heavy job doing autopsies. One moment I'm staring at a huge amount of blood and suddenly my vision goes dark and my ears start buzzing, so I just mumbled an apology to my supervisors and bolted outside to get some air... I didn't actually pass out that time, though.
Since then, I've had a few much milder dizzy spells—usually just when I'm rushing to campus early in the morning without eating, or when I'm standing around or doing something physical. It's pretty obvious to me that my blood sugar is just crashing, which leads to that lightheaded feeling... so that part makes total sense physiologically.
But today was different. I actually ate breakfast, I was hanging out in an air-conditioned room, I was totally calm (well, okay, I was sleep-deprived from partying, but still...), and I wasn't doing anything intense or gross. Then, completely out of the blue, it hit me again—blackout vision, loud ringing in my ears, heart racing... I grabbed some water and sat down immediately... it passed fast, but man, I felt absolutely wiped out afterward.
Has anyone else dealt with stuff like this, or does anyone have an idea why this keeps happening? 😘
I’m definitely a frequent hand washer, though I wouldn't say I've hit that level of obsessive scrubbing lately... honestly, my absolute favorite thing is getting the chance to scrub them down with a little brush... I just can't stand it when I notice someone has dirt under their fingernails, and the feeling of touching hands that are all warm and sweaty is just gross, not to mention how much human hair bugs me... I also have this thing where I need everything organized perfectly, so it really gets under my skin if someone just moves something out of place without thinking... mind you, I'm not talking about everything in life, some things can be messy or whatever, but I have my specific rituals, like when I buy a big bag of assorted candies, I'll pour them all out, count every single one, and eat them by starting with whichever flavor I have too many of, then once the counts are even, I'll eat them in a perfect rotation—one of this kind, one of that kind, one of the third kind—and then start the whole cycle over again... and don't even get me started on hanging posters or pictures on the wall, because I need them measured out to the exact inch so everything looks totally symmetrical and right... I don't take any medication since we actually have a doctor in the family and I'm currently working through my own biomedical studies... we've all decided that what I have is just a personality quirk, nothing serious, and it hasn't really changed or gotten worse over the years, so it's totally manageable...
Spring is honestly the best thing ever, and even though there’s always that little bit of seasonal fatigue hanging around, the second I hear the birds starting to chirp and see all that bright green popping up under the warm sunshine... that tiredness just completely vanishes and I feel like I'm running on pure adrenaline.
So, basically, I’ve got my routine down pat—I usually start things off with a fruit medley, like some sliced apples, oranges, and bananas mixed with a little drizzle of honey, then I move on to some yogurt topped with fruit granola, and then...

Wow, you really gave him some stellar advice there, didn't you? 😵 Are you seriously suggesting that every single heart patient in America is a smoker?! Every single one? Because that's what you're implying. Why don't you just tell everyone to go ahead and smoke since it's clearly so healthy. It's common knowledge that while marijuana has its downsides, compared to some of the legal stuff out there, the impact is pretty minor. Sure, it's illegal right now, and yeah, we should follow the law, but honestly, the US would absolutely thrive if we shifted our perspective and legalized it; we could wipe out the national debt and focus on high-end luxury tourism... but hey, those are just different conversations. Marijuana falls under the drug category, and in my opinion, it doesn't belong here. I used to be a heavy smoker, though nowadays I only light up once in a blue moon.

😉 Man, my computer totally went haywire or something... I think there was some glitch with Reddit because it just refused to let me hit send on anything... then later when I actually checked, I realized it had dumped a massive pile of posts all at once...😲 Well, shoot, my bad everyone,
So here’s my little update 🙂 — I decided to knock back some Guaraná yesterday on a totally full stomach... it finally kicked in after about two hours... and man, I felt absolutely wired and super energized, though the one bummer was that my focus just wasn't quite hitting the mark 😕 — - - - like, I was reading, but I was just skimming through everything super fast, so that was definitely the downside... otherwise, if we're talking about killing off fatigue and getting that massive boost, this stuff definitely delivers 😈
So here’s my little field report 🙂 — I decided to knock back some Guaraná yesterday on a totally full stomach... it took about two hours to really kick in... and man, once it did, I felt absolutely wired and pumped up... the only real bummer was that my focus just wasn't quite where it needed to be 😕 — - - like, I was reading, but I was just skimming everything super fast and flying through the pages, so that was definitely a downside... otherwise, if we're talking about killing off fatigue and getting that massive energy surge, this stuff definitely delivers 😈

So... for those of you who are constantly crushing Guaraná energy tabs—how many are we actually talking about on a daily basis? Are you sticking to the recommended dose of just one or two, or are you guys going way beyond that?

Coke is basically the queen of all highs in every sense of the word... speed is nothing compared to what she brings to the table. It’ll sweep you off your feet, honestly, just go try it, though I really don't think at seventeen you're quite equipped to recognize where those lines are that you're about to cross.
No, don't even worry about it, I'm not holding anything against you at all, seriously 🙂
It's mostly just because there isn't any ginseng left lying around... plus, I really love trying out new stuff, and I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about Guaraná lately, so... honestly, who knows... I guess I just enjoy making a big deal out of nothing, but I'd drink just about anything if it meant I could actually sit down, focus, and truly learn something instead of just staring blankly at a page
So, yeah, I'll have to track down some cash and head over to the drugstore...
I've got some Leciton myself... and I totally forgot to take it today too... yesterday I actually started studying and took it... but then I drank way too much last night, so a little bit of that info just went up in smoke... there's really no helping me 🙂
