Noah Garcia15 said:My friend just got stung on the backside by a bee right as we were getting ready to head out... she’s in quite a bit of pain. Does anyone know a quick way to dull the sting? Maybe a cold compress or some cream? Any urgent advice would be appreciated...

It hurts... but it'll pass. She probably still has the stinger lodged in her skin, so you really ought to try and pull it out with tweezers otherwise the redness and itching are just going to get worse. Honestly, nothing major should happen unless she's allergic—if she starts having an allergic reaction or goes into shock, you need to get her to an ER immediately.

🙏

I’d personally try sucking the venom out... depending on where it hit😬 though there's certainly no obligation to do that...😉

Why not? Is it just too complex for an admin to pull off with their current toolkit, or is it a limitation within vBulletin itself...? Or maybe it's something else entirely...

I seem to recall seeing some threads—some over 20 pages deep—where a single post would list exactly how many posts every user had contributed to that specific discussion. And I think I actually saw someone trying to "manually count" them all up...😕

I was wondering if there’s some kind of method available to us mere mortals to figure out exactly where we've been wasting our lives online. I'm talking about seeing where we've dropped the most posts—which specific topics or subforums we haunt the most, who we end up quoting more than anyone else, and things like that...
Of course, I don't just mean for my own sake, but for other users on the forum too.

Senna, also known as Senad Galijašević, was basically an icon during the golden era of the American dance scene 🤣

A true Music Giant on par with today's DJ Porky😬
How do I download videos from YouTube? in Software ·
As I mentioned before, http://keepvid.com/ 👍works just fine for other sites too, like video.google...

Just try swapping out the file extension—or adding one if it's missing—to .flv

Then you can either grab a free FLV player or just run it through a converter

Amy Jackson2 said:My mom passed away very suddenly recently. She was only 52. I was wondering if anyone here knows more about this specific phenomenon as a cause of death.
I'm living in Sweden right now, so please excuse me if I get any of the terminology wrong.
At first, they thought it was a stroke or some kind of brain clot, but after the autopsy, they determined it was actually an arrhythmia. It was as if a single electrical impulse just skipped a beat.
Honestly, it all happened within ten minutes at most. First, she felt some pain in her neck area, then she collapsed onto the bed and started losing consciousness. The paramedics arrived within ten minutes, but she had already stopped breathing by then. They managed to resuscitate her, but from that point on, her heart just wouldn't stabilize. They tried for fifty minutes, but nothing worked.

Thank you.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Did she have any history of heart issues? Had she ever had an EKG done? It’s possible it could be WPW...

Muay Thai really catches my eye, but the closest gym is way out in the suburbs. I’m living over in Brooklyn, so if anyone could recommend some good clubs around here, I’d really appreciate it—doesn’t have to be strictly Muay Thai. Thanks!🙏 🙏

The closest Thai boxing gym for you would probably be in Volt, run by Marijan Žižanović
maybe there's something even closer...😕 check a few local directories...

Exactly. It wasn't just some guerilla skirmish or guys playing around with Panzerfausts before running off...🙂 🙈
Autumn Leaves is finally here!!! in Music ·
The songwriter is from the Midwest, and honestly, Zvonko Bogdan’s version is about five times better than Oliver's—which, frankly, should be banned from being performed altogether. Balašević sings "Autumn is Coming" (or roughly translated, "let the musicians play this song...") at weddings for those types who just got back from military service and happened to stumble right into the reception...

Lyrics:
Autumn is coming, my darling,
the flowers no longer scent the air,
the hyacinths, tulips, and lilacs.

And you have betrayed me too,
my darling,
you left, the nightingale falls silent,
the leaves turn yellow.

Leaves fall from the flowery branches,
and with them goes my love,
my youth, my hopes.

You left, summer passed,
the flowers are gone,
you left, the nightingale falls silent,
the leaves turn yellow.

Do you even know how much I suffer,
whenever I remember the lilacs,
the violets and jasmine.

It truly is a masterpiece👍

Patrick Scott5 said:It's garbage. A bad Balašević cover.

LOL, have you even heard it? Balašević was just a kid when that song was written, whereas Zvonko Bogdan is one of its most iconic performers...

I’ve been weighing my options regarding Bujinkan for quite some time now, though I find myself increasingly intrigued by this Israeli self-defense system called Hisardut. To be honest, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu doesn't particularly appeal to me since it doesn't quite fit my personal style; I was never really built for pure grappling...

If you're looking at Israeli systems, you should definitely check out Krav Maga too I'd also suggest looking into that at least...👍

velvetwolf17 said:Hello everyone, I am new to this community and find myself in need of a little guidance regarding the selection of a martial art. I have been intending to begin training for some time now, yet I find myself completely undecided on which discipline to pursue. I am currently weighing my options between Aikido (though if anyone could kindly explain the concept of Iwama-style, I would certainly appreciate it), Jiu-Jitsu, and perhaps Hapkido—though I am honestly unsure if there are even any reputable schools offering that here in the States. To be clear, my interest does not lie in the realm of competitive tournaments or trophies; my sole focus is on practical self-defense. Thank you all!

If you’re leaning toward Aikido, you should reach out to Megan White4. For Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, check out www.subos.hr—honestly, if you're looking for grappling, they offer probably the best bang for your buck in terms of quality versus cost. If you want to look into Hapkido or Ju-Jutsu, give Gerald Smith76 a shout😬...

There are plenty of regulars on this board who practice these styles if you want to pick their brains...

So, I was wondering if anyone could help me out—can someone drop a link to the official website for the Tiger club over in Chicago? I’m having a hard time finding their page online (assuming they even have one)...

Also, does anyone know what the monthly membership or training fees look like at that club?

I was wondering what it’s called, where exactly it is, and if they have classes for girls that don't involve sparring (just for fun/fitness)?? 🙂 Thanks in advance for any help!!
Just a heads up, please don't tell me the answer is somewhere else on the forum because I really don't feel like digging through old threads. 😎 thanX!!!

By the way, that’s Branko Cikatić's gym, if that name rings a bell for you.

Offtopic: George Martin70, you're starting to get on my nerves🤮 It's easy to act tough and hide behind an anonymous screen, but when it comes time to actually stand by what you say...🙂 I’d bet anything you’ve never even stepped foot in a ring with any of those pros you’re trash-talking, let alone had the nerve to challenge them to a match. Honestly, you're starting to act just like Jamie Fowler2 (who keeps suggesting she show him...) 👍 and Brandon Hayes73 (who's bounced around plenty of gyms but doesn't know a thing 🙄 even though he's arguably the best heavyweight submission wrestler in the area)

Anyway, wishing everyone else all the best in 2007...

There have already been a million threads about this specific style, so just use the search bar. You can look up "Wing Chun" or "Wing Tsun"... honestly, Google and YouTube are your best friends here. If you want to see the real deal, you should definitely check out the masters at: http://www.garylamwingchun.com/ — they have some great clips, or maybe http://www.ninobernardo.com/;

As for finding clubs in the States:

Jujigatame said:Just go to www.youtube.com and search for Ryabkov, Vasiliev, Systema, or whatever similar stuff and just browse through some clips... I was honestly cracking up watching Ryabkov 🤣.
Even the stuff they present as "serious" didn't sit right with me, especially when it comes to knife work and grappling. Dealing with multiple opponents seems way too naive in those videos...

For starters, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvF17Wd4Fz4

I checked out that link and, well... I don't even know how to put it. 😕 It looks strange. They eliminate opponents far too elegantly for it to be realistic. I realize it's just a demonstration, but even Hollywood stunt choreography isn't that polished 😬. And everywhere you look, people claim certain Navy SEALs units practice this... I don't know. Either the guy is so incredibly skilled and drilled that he can just "play around" with attackers, or it's all just highly choreographed garbage.

You really ought to try it on yourself to see if it holds up 😬...
