It’s actually getting weird; mosquitoes just aren't feeling my vibe. Like, instead of swarming me like they do everyone else, they basically give me a wide berth. Yesterday I was tracking one: it flies right up, "sniffs" the air around me, and then just drifts off. No bite attempt whatsoever. I haven't been bitten once all season, even though I'm constantly outside hanging out near the woods.
What could possibly cause these bloodsuckers to act this way?
Samuel Collins said:Only a moron thinks hiking taxes actually fills the coffers. You grow a budget through tax breaks and cutting red tape—that’s how you jumpstart the whole economy, from the guy running a taco truck to the massive corporations on Wall Street. The smart money knows that.
Honestly, I couldn't care less what they decide to do tomorrow. I stopped relying on the whims of corrupt idiots a long time ago.
They probably know that too, they just don't give a damn. As long as they can line their own pockets, they wouldn't care if the whole world burned down tomorrow.
The new grading and enrollment system seems fine on paper, I guess, except for one glaring issue regarding those extra credit points. Isn't it a little ridiculous that a kid finishing music school gets just one point while athletes get three? It also makes zero sense to weigh electives, religious studies, and math all the same way when they carry equal weight in the general GPA.

It's whoever prescribes the meds based on their own damn judgment instead of just following whatever the pharmacist tells them to write down to secure a kickback...

So, did you guys know that in the US, you can’t actually call in sick just because you have a runny nose?
If you want to stay home, you basically have to burn through your PTO.
Since the average American spends about a week four times a year dealing with a stuffy nose, your entire vacation fund just vanishes into a pile of used tissues...
And don't even get me started on those times of year when everyone is sneezing at once, making it impossible to even request time off if you actually wanted to.

(I truly cannot fathom anyone being unable to carve out 15, 20, or even 30 minutes a day—or perhaps just two or three sessions a week—to focus on back exercises. In my view, there are simply those who lack the discipline and instead cling to the hope that spending a few hundred dollars on some plastic gadget will magically fix their issues. Unfortunately, they end up paying the money and keeping the pain...)
👍👍👍
And that’s really the whole point.
Any kind of support brace like those Kozmodiska things just makes the situation worse.
Sure, it feels easier in the moment, but the muscles that are actually supposed to be supporting your spine just keep getting weaker because they're letting something else do their job, and eventually, the fallout is even uglier.

Sorry, but what you're doing right now is basically playing Russian roulette with your health.
40 mg of Valium?
Four pills?
My dad, being a heart patient, takes half that much...
And you're out here trying to play pharmacist and dose yourself too? 🤦
So your back aches a little and suddenly you're popping two or more Johnson & Johnson tablets? 🤦
Yeah, theoretically, if you’ve got a wool-poly blend, you could probably digest the wool part, but that polyester has gotta go. 😬
But honestly, even more than what the fabric is actually made of, wouldn't the dyes and those nasty chemicals they use during processing or finishing be a much bigger headache for your health?
