I’ll try it on my desktop tomorrow. When I was shipping via FedEx before, using my phone actually showed me $3.25 was cheaper.

I’m still seeing the old prices on my end 🤷—this applies to packages up to 4.4 lbs.

And this:

The package costs more if you don't buy their specific box. One slap in the face for "supporting the environment."🙄

If only they possessed even a shred of technical literacy and bothered to update their site—or that "calculator" of theirs.

I just stumbled upon this, though it's hardly my first mention of the subject:

Hey there! I noticed nobody is talking about this. Apparently, USPS just hiked their shipping rates, and the increase is absolutely insane. I can't find the specific Facebook post right now, but for packages that used to run around $23, we're suddenly looking at $40.

Does anyone have any intel on international rates? All the info I've seen so far only covers domestic shipping within the States...

I honestly don't get why people are so obsessed. All these questions about the pregnancy, asking how I am, staring at my stomach—and worst of all, trying to touch it. Especially since I'm only 16 weeks in and there isn't even much to see. I’ve always had a little bit of a belly anyway; I was never "flat," and right now it hasn't changed that much. I don't even let Rachel Kern26 touch it, and when someone else tries? I swear, I'm about two seconds away from slapping them. I only let my husband feel the firm part just to prove I'm actually pregnant and not just gaining weight. 🤣 Besides, I can't even feel the baby yet, so what's the point of poking me?
And don't even get me started on everyone at home. Honestly, I'd move out in a heartbeat if I could. Settling into this house is moving at a snail's pace, and it's driving me insane. I know the renovations won't be finished before the baby arrives—probably not long after, either—because new problems just keep popping up. I'm terrified I'm going to snap, and I really don't want the stress to affect the baby.

I honestly don’t know where to look, who to ask, or even how to navigate this mess. I'm out of my depth here.

So, back in 2001, my mother racked up a massive bill on a cell phone plan while she was living in London for three months. For years, she kept the details quiet, just letting the debt sit there. Since then, she’s been shuffling everything into other people's names to avoid ownership. She has nothing in her own name except for a car that isn't worth more than $500. We recently had a blow-up when she was trying to exchange currency; they asked for her ID and she refused, acting like they had no right to know about her finances. Then she tells me that everyone at the bank is watching her every move—as if she hasn't been hiding things for decades.
I told her straight up: we need to go to the bank, face the music, and figure out what this debt actually looks like. You can't run from this forever.

The core issue is that the debt from 2001 is roughly $2000. Or maybe 9. Something like that. She was listing numbers, and it reached $5333. She thought, "Fine, I'll just save up enough and settle it." But then even she was blindsided when she realized she hadn't been fully transparent about the situation. It turns out there are interest charges piled on top, bringing the total debt to a staggering 43 $0.00.
My mother was unemployed from 2003—maybe 2002—until 2013. Is there any way to get this amount reduced? Has anyone dealt with settlement negotiations with major telecom companies regarding old debts? Who should we contact?

Is it just me, or is anyone else still dealing with this outage?

Does anyone know the cheapest way to ship a disassembled bed frame from rural Pennsylvania to Florida? It’s just the side rails, 63x75 inches, weighing about 30 lbs total..

Give UPS a shot. They're pretty affordable for our office shipments, though I'm not sure what their rates look like for private individuals.
I won't tag everyone—thanks for clarifying the whole card situation. Just one question: where and when do I pay? Is there a booth at Coachella on the day of the festival, or can I handle this sooner? Like, tomorrow?

Regarding Florence. Like most people, I grabbed a 3-day pass the second it dropped, specifically for her. I’ve been listening since 2010, even if that first album is the only one worth anything. I was pissed at first. Then I got over it. Then I got annoyed again watching her jump around during the second album era.
As for why that tour isn't happening? I don't care. They said she’d come, she didn't. Honestly, I've been sour on Coachella since my first time there; the shows were great, but after this, Florence has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn't even bother catching her last concert.

Whatever. I thought about selling my tickets, but frankly, I couldn't care less. I'm just going to get drunk and roll around in the grass like I planned when I first bought them. I never go anywhere anyway. Who do they think they are, making me cancel plans?

FTW🙂

Besides, Florence will show up in 2027. Right when her career hits rock bottom. That's usually when these types return to Coachella.
Since I haven't been to Coachella since 2009, what’s the deal with buying food and drinks now? I heard they don't use paper tickets anymore... someone mentioned you get a voucher on some kind of card 🤔

Here’s my issue: they aren't too small or too big. It's the crease right by the toes. It pinches my thumb joint so incredibly hard it’s agonizing, especially after walking around the city for a few hours.
I actually thought about heading to a cobbler, but I really don't want them stretching them out too aggressively. The left one barely bothers me, but the right one feels like it's snapping my bone. They're genuine leather—double-layered—so they're incredibly stiff.
So, can anyone tell me how much a cobbler usually charges for stretching?

No. Your only option is to refuse the shipment entirely. Then, the person receiving the returned package will be the one left dealing with the mess. $7.25 How much is he being charged to ship that package back to you? Is he really paying for return shipping on his own mistake? $3.25Look, it’s simple: once you receive it, you owe the money. If you aren't happy with what you got? Send it back. Is that really so complicated?

That’s exactly what I was afraid of. 😢

Chloe Moore65 said:Then don't shop here. If you want to be picky, go find a store that actually suits your standards.

I don't exactly enjoy being ripped off, nor do I love it when a purchase turns out to be a total disappointment. But honestly? That's just the price of admission when you shop online. Isn't that just part of the risk?

The thing is, this isn't some massive corporate online retailer. It’s through Craigslist. I’ve always made it a point to buy from sellers based right here in Washington, D.C., so I could handle the hand-off in person. Why risk it otherwise?
It’s not even on the shelves anymore because it’s two and a half years old. And even if it were? The price would be a third of what they're asking now. Obviously.

Exactly. It happened to me once—I sold something for... $20 The deal was clear: the buyer pays cash on delivery. I already settled the bill at the Post Office. $7.25How? $13 I was looking for a profit. Instead, I ended up paying for the privilege of having my package sent right back to me. Is that supposed to be how this works? $3.25So, she screwed me over for... $11She didn't even have the decency to reach out. And to top it all off, one person kept my package and never sent the items we agreed on for the swap. So, here I am, out about... $100And then she had the nerve to insult me, claiming I was lying about not receiving her package. Seriously? Let’s be clear—selling online carries risks for the merchant too. It isn't always just the buyer who takes a hit.

Shame on them. Even if that first number is just pocket change.
In this scenario, I could just as easily end up getting burned too. $100Look, you know how I operate. I don't cut checks or hand anything over until I see results. That’s just my policy. So, yeah, this whole "payment on delivery" thing? It’s got me a little uneasy. 🙂

P.S. Thanks for the input. 🙂
I’m not sure if everyone here is this naturally skeptical of people, or if it’s just me running circles in my own head.. 😳
I read the stuff about cash-on-delivery earlier, and I get it—when you’re sending money to a stranger, you want some level of certainty that they won't just vanish with your cash...
But what about the buyers? For instance, I pay up, and then the package shows up containing something completely different from what I actually ordered... finding a dead cat in my delivery wouldn't exactly make my day 🙂

Am I allowed to just open it right there in front of them and point out that it's not what I ordered? Can I demand they take it back and refund my money immediately?? 😁
