People who are choosing to be childfree in Psychology ·
Dana Davis5 said:I actually had to start avoiding certain women altogether because they wouldn't stop nagging me about getting married and having kids—it was driving me crazy! So, I just stepped back from those circles and solved the problem myself 😁 ...though, granted, there are plenty of brilliant women out there who happen to be moms, but they aren't busy lecturing other women on how they "must" have children. They're... well, they're intelligent enough to respect everyone else's life choices, you know?

Nice, props to you.
I know that vibe all too well. I had this one cousin who was constantly "on her hormones"—basically acting like an old lady—and now that she finally has grandkids, she thinks everyone needs to rush out and start a family ASAP.🙄🙂
I won't even get into how much blood she sucked from me with her constant harassment. Honestly, I felt reborn once I cut her out of my life. Pure bliss. Total peace.
Ladies, just live your lives. Don't break your heads over whether you want kids or not—you already know what you want, so stop overthinking it. And if someone starts attacking you like this old lady, just hop in a rocket and blast off to Mars. 🙂
Nail extraction procedure in Health ·
Oh my God!
Seriously, anyone dealing with those nasty ingrown toenails—the kind that throb and make you want to rip the whole thing out—just stop. Just stop right now.

The fix is actually super simple—grab a nail file and sand down the middle part of the nail (basically just thinning it out). Don't go overboard and file it all the way down to the skin, obviously, but if you thin the center, the nail will basically "fill in" that gap. It levels itself out and pulls away from the skin where it was digging in. The inflammation dies down and the whole ingrown mess just vanishes.
What do you mean "pulling it out"? Goodness gracious! That sounds absolutely brutal... honestly, just wait for it to grow out and for heaven's sake, don't touch it. I can't even imagine the pain.

I’m telling you, this is a 99% guaranteed fix for ingrown nails.

Also, cutting them straight across like someone else mentioned helps. Rounding off those sharp corners is key too, but you absolutely have to sand down that center surface first.

wiredmoose87 I can't even begin to explain how much this is getting on my nerves—honestly, I'm just sitting here staring at the screen like, "are you kidding me right now?" It’s always the same thing with these people, isn't it? They come in here acting like they own the place, throwing around opinions that don't hold any water, and then they act all surprised when someone calls them out on it. I mean, seriously. I had a similar thing happen last week while I was grabbing coffee in Chicago—some guy tries to lecture me on how to order a simple latte, and I just looked at him like he had two heads. It's that same level of unearned confidence. Anyway, whatever. Just my two cents.
Hihihi, you got any juicy suggestions? 😁

Honestly, I’m just not the type to get caught up in all that petty drama—it’s just not my vibe. And look, I know myself well enough to realize I couldn't even pull off being that malicious if I tried. Besides, stooping down to her level? Yeah, definitely not happening. That is the last thing I ever want to do. 🤷
Why do you even care? Honestly, don't bother stooping down to her level—it's just not worth the energy. You gotta find some other way to get back at her. 🤣

driftingbear29 said:It might be an ambitious suggestion, but what if you all—assuming you could actually get everyone on board—teamed up to take down that old dragon together? I’m with lonepuma2 on this one... 😁

Like some sort of collective effort 🙂 though, honestly, I think it's probably a lost cause 😬
And don't go thinking this is just some minor issue. The woman is wicked, and someone needs to put her in her place 🙂
Just try to be cunning... in a way 😍

Not a chance. I don't even know what her other coworkers are really like yet—for all I know, they could be just as bad. Honestly, there’s a real possibility she’s just gonna dig herself even deeper into this mess.

Just cook up something infuriating, go solo, and see what kind of mess you end up with. 😁😂

Hey, what if you just kind of sabotaged her without her ever catching on that it was actually you?
😁
I mean, you’ve gotta find some way to get back at her.🙂
Prettier" girlfriends in Psychology ·
I’m not even sure if this topic fits here, but the title totally caught my eye--

Honestly, I’ve always been the type who preferred having friends who were actually good-looking rather than... well, not 😁
It just felt better going out somewhere with someone like that. I never really cared whether people were staring at her or at me instead.
But man, I had this one friend back in college who was just so incredibly insecure about it—like, she genuinely felt like the other girls in our circle *had* to be uglier than her, or at least not more attractive 😬 It was honestly pathetic. She never ever said it to my face, but I picked up on it so many times. One time, I spent way too much time getting all dolled up and doing my makeup, and she actually made a snide comment about it. Like, seriously?
Jason Williams40 said:I'm genuinely curious—are you this full of yourself outside of these forums? Because I wouldn't say so...

Look, people can think whatever they want about me—it's their funeral.
😉
🤣
Just tell them, "Yeah, yeah, you're totally right," or "You're spot on, as usual," or whatever—just feed the ego
it’ll make them stop breathing down your neck

Look, they've clearly got their own issues going on, and you're just letting yourself become their personal punching bag

But seriously—what's actually getting under your skin here? Is it just some random jerk's snarky comment?
Why are some people always in such a rush? in Psychology ·
Morgan Bishop4 said:Or maybe I’m just moving in slow motion? Though, honestly, I don't think that's it...

I seriously don't get why some people lose their minds if everything isn't finished this exact second, or if a project doesn't start immediately, or if you don't knock out every single task today instead of leaving it for tomorrow. Like, chill out.

I can't stand it when people try to rush me through things that aren't even urgent enough to matter whether they're done today or next week! 😠 It’s not like I’m sprinting to catch a Greyhound bus; there’s always another one rolling into the station ten minutes later anyway, so what's the big deal?

I really prefer doing things at my own pace, and I just don't understand the obsession with getting everything done right this instant... (my mom is driving me absolutely insane lately).
It's like everyone thinks they have to pull an all-nighter like some Wall Street intern, instead of just finishing up by 3 PM like a normal human being.

Okay, but... what's actually going on here?
Am I just lazy? Am I like that grasshopper from the fable who kept putting everything off until tomorrow, only to freeze to death once winter hit?
Or is it that the people constantly rushing around have some kind of disorder, or they're just incredibly impatient, or whatever...🤷

Is it just that people have this weird psychological need to turn every little thing into a high-stress crisis, or am I actually just being lazy? :/

They're just disorganized.

You can get everything done if you stay organized and keep your cool.
People who act hysterical just make time fly by faster.
Personally, I’m super chill when I’m knocking out tasks. Even when I've got a mountain of stuff to do in a day, I always manage to pull it off. Why? Because I use a planner and I approach everything with a "whatever" attitude. Just laugh it off. Plus, I still end up having time to relax.

The more you panic, the harder you make it for yourself.
Every single job I've ever had, there was always one coworker like this. Out of five people, three of them were usually like that.
Most people just seem perpetually nervous, from what I can see.

So yeah, I'm definitely one of those "slowpokes." 🙂 Life is way better that way. 😉
A question for the lucky ones in Psychology ·
Elizabeth Sanchez2 said:My question boils down to this: people who can say—without any hesitation—that they’re actually happy. I want to know if there are more of them from the first group or the second... that's all.

I feel happy because I actually have those phases where I'm not—you know? It's a mix. If I was just constantly "on" and happy all the time, then it wouldn't even feel like happiness anymore.
