A-line dresses and skirts look great—they hug the body more at the top without being overly tight. On ASOS, they call those styles skater, fit and flare, or A-line. Just be careful with the sizing; it looks terrible when a dress is too small, like you’ve completely outgrown it. I wear a large or XL, and honestly, I’ve had some luck finding decent pieces on ASOS ever since I finally embraced my new size... As for local designers, I’m a big fan of Kesidov’s work.
Justin Rivera17 said:Basically, just venting here—it absolutely drives me insane that my kid brings home some nasty little cold from daycare, clears it up in like two days flat, and then I’m left dealing with the fallout. I'm freaking days away from my due date and I’m basically falling apart—coughing, nose running, sore throat, everything hurts, and I can barely even keep my eyes open.
And then you always get that one "genius" who starts lecturing you about how I might go into labor early, or they bring up some horror story about someone they know who lost all their water because of a common cold.
Man, I would love nothing more than to just sneeze right in their face, honestly. Just a little unsolicited health advice delivered straight to the snout.
Plus, since I'm staying active despite having a scheduled C-section on the books, I get the usual commentary about how my second birth will be lightning fast... or, you know, the classic "you won't even make it to the hospital, you'll pop on the side of the highway" nonsense.
Honestly, this whole idea of having a second child really scares me. Just a couple of weeks ago, one of the women on this forum ended up with some serious complications—she actually had to have her bladder surgically repaired because the baby dropped way too low. It’s terrifying.
I’m just waiting for Charles Morris7 to chime in. Honestly, it’s pretty entertaining watching someone who’s 35 act like they’re still stuck in middle school.
Nobody is forcing you to raise a kid. If it’s such a massive burden, you can always walk away. Honestly, thank God we actually have freedom of choice in this country.
Scott Sanders3 said:It honestly drives me up the wall that I can’t sleep on my stomach anymore, which has always been my absolute favorite way to pass out or just curl up with a good book. And don't even get me started on my mother-in-law. It is beyond infuriating how she constantly tries to dictate exactly what I do—or more accurately, what I *don't* need—for the baby. She’ll say things like, "Why bother getting a stroller? You're having the baby in the middle of winter anyway, so you won't be taking them anywhere," or "Oh, you definitely don't need a crib; they can just sleep in this old bassinet we're giving you." In the end, according to her, I don't need anything at all. 🙂
I’m still just so incredibly frustrated by all of this. Right now, the worst part is being trapped inside my own house—if I try to step out, I just collapse, and then I’m forced to sit down every ten feet or so.
So, pregnant women get priority at the clinic, right? Does that actually mean my wait time for a specialist drops from about three hours down to just one? 😝😨😩
Honestly, I’ve gone so crazy during this pregnancy that I actually found myself craving sushi. Apparently, the latest research coming out of the States says it's totally fine as long as you're sticking to salmon and shrimp instead of things like shark or tuna. Plus, I tested negative for toxo, so there's that.

But I just can't see myself pushing my baby around in something that starts squeaking and falling apart after only three months of use...
And let's be real, our stroller is definitely going to be seeing a lot of miles on those neighborhood sidewalks...
but seriously, what kind of gorgeous 3-in-1 strollers are we talking about for $333??? and don't even mention Craigslist, because I have zero interest in buying stuff sight unseen without any actual protection—unless we're talking eBay, where you're at least somewhat covered, blah blah ours are considered "cheap" compared to the average, yet somehow a few geniuses decided they could find them for $267.....
casualsurfer8 said:Ugh, I've heard that line more than once... 🙂 We were down at my husband's grandparents' place by the coast, and his grandma would ask me every morning how I was feeling. Every time I told her I felt terrible, she’d just wave me off like, "Oh, stop exaggerating."🙂
And my mother-in-law is getting on my nerves again, trying to micromanage our baby names. Whatever name my husband picks for a girl, she decides it's the ugliest name on the planet, so she's already started listing her own "better" suggestions.🤦
Plus, my father-in-law is driving me crazy too. He hasn't even asked how I am once in four months. He can barely even bring himself to say the word "pregnant" or acknowledge I'm actually having a baby; he just brushes it off like, "When this phase passes."
Honestly, half of my husband's family is just exhausting... 😁

If there’s one thing I learned from my sister-in-law’s pregnancy—and now my own—it’s that all these tropes are real and you honestly just have to tune them out. There’s always some mother-in-law who thinks she has a better name picked out, someone complaining about your morning sickness, people commenting on your delivery or breastfeeding, and don't even get me started when the car seat debate begins... Just Google whatever "advice" they throw at you and ignore the rest, especially when it's coming from family.....
It’s not even the little kids themselves that get under my skin—it's the sheer terror they induce. Honestly? There are moments where I'm just like: I am NOT going to be able to handle this mentally or physically
Ashley Baker17 said:It’s actually wild. You see women who swear they don't want kids getting pregnant from a single glance, right? Then you look at me. I'm perfectly healthy—my OB-GYN even told me straight up that my fertility is through the roof. Well, guess what? I actually wanted a baby. So, I played it smart, timed everything during my fertile window, and even had sex a few extra times when I wasn't peaking, just to be sure. And wouldn't you know it? I woke up this morning to a 😢 . I mean, I know it's technically possible to conceive while you're already pregnant, but honestly? I highly doubt 😢 .
The standard advice is to focus on those fertile days—having sex every other day or even daily right before and after. That’s exactly what we did, and it worked immediately. 🙂 Getting pregnant on the first try happens occasionally... some women really do just have all the luck. 😁
Honestly, how do I even put this into words? Everything about being pregnant just gets under my skin—it’s like everything is an irritant. But mostly? It’s the constant cravings and just... myself. I can't stand my own mood swings right now.
So, some old guy just shoved his way right in front of me in line. The cashier absolutely laid into him—honestly, good for her—asking how he could be so shameless cutting ahead of a pregnant woman. And his response? He actually claimed *he* was pregnant too. Are you kidding me? Idiots! I don't think anyone has ever dared to cut in front of me in any shop I've been in, to this point. Maybe they all just assume I'm overweight instead of pregnant since I don't exactly go out of my way to show off a massive baby bump or anything.
Joshua Rogers10 said:Ugh, I seriously cannot deal with people constantly asking if the baby "came back to life" anymore 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Like, how can anyone be this clueless? If I don't feel any movement, it means there's no baby (God forbid), period.
So far, my maid of honor and two or three girlfriends have already hit me with this question. 🙂 Honestly, if a guy were asking, maybe they'd actually get it. 🙄
And then my maid of honor acts like it's totally normal, as if she’s listening to some crazy advice from her sister-in-law claiming a baby magically revives at four months old—and this woman has two kids herself! 🙄
The younger crowd asks because they see the baby moving, which is fine. It's just that one cousin who really got under my skin with "the question." Honestly, it was infuriating. In my opinion, asking it that way is just plain rude and tactless.
So, I was pretty out of line with my mother-in-law today. She had the nerve to ask if things had "come back to life" yet—whatever that's supposed to mean—and I just looked her dead in the eye and said, "No, it's dead." :/
