I totally agree that she’s clueless. I have clear ovaries, and when I asked her what that actually meant, all she said was, "The ones that release an egg during your period, nothing more, nothing less." Like, she doesn't even know the medical terminology for it!
On top of that, she told me I have a tilted uterus, and when I asked if that would make it harder for me to get pregnant, her brilliant response was just, "We'll see..."
So yeah, that's basically all I can say about her... honestly, I'm feeling pretty desperate right now. If any of you guys have a good recommendation for a doctor nearby, please let me know.
Kimberly Sanchez26 said:Hmm, I was actually a patient of Dr. Beljo, so I never really had to wait that long for my results or checkups. You always have to do the swabs in the morning because that’s when the pickup from the local clinic happens, and if you're dropping them off at Rockefeller yourself, you've gotta get the sample there by 2 PM. Last time, she didn't even order the swab for me, so I ended up switching doctors—but it’s never been three months, maybe three weeks max. As for Pap smears, it usually takes about a month and a half.
The reason I'm waiting on this swab is because I can't just drop it off at Rockefeller since I'm working. Every single month, she tells me, "Come in next month and we'll do the swab, then you can take it to that small town in the Midwest" (which was actually my first time ever going out there), but every time—and I mean this is the third month in a row now—I call her once my period starts, and she just says, "Sorry, we're backed up for the Midwest route, so you'll just have to take it to NYC (Rockefeller) or pay privately for those two swabs."$83 🙂 It’s seriously such a hassle for me to go all the way there, but honestly, it's her fault because the last one came back contaminated. It wasn't my mistake, and I feel pretty stupid having to pay so much money for someone else's screw-up.🤷
As for Paps, I honestly don't know. I only know what she told me and what my friend told me (she was waiting four months for her results!). I always just get my Pap smear done privately; I get the results back in a week...$50 It doesn't happen that often, so I'll always just pay for it.😉
I'm so sorry for digging up this old thread, but I really need some help here...
So, I’m currently a patient of Dr. Beljo, but honestly, her scheduling is just a nightmare. I’ve been waiting three whole months for a re-test for mycoplasma and ureaplasma because the first sample ended up contaminated. Now she's telling me I can only come in at 9:00 AM, which is impossible since I work a standard 8-to-5 shift. On top of that, I have to drop the samples off at Rockefeller myself, whereas last time I was able to just leave them at a small town in the Midwest location.
Does anyone know what Dr. Kujundžić is like? Does he take new female patients? Please, if you can, give me the full scoop—is he blunt or rude? Does he do swabs and Pap tests? And how long is the wait? With Dr. Beljo, if you're going through Medicare/Social Security Administration, you're looking at a 4-5 month wait. Also, would he be willing to re-run those two specific tests for me? Most importantly, I really need someone who explains things clearly and is gentle and considerate. I’ve had some pretty awful experiences with gynecologists in the past, regardless of who they were. To make matters worse, my urine tests came back showing bacteria, and my GP told me I need to see an OBGYN immediately. I feel like I'm just stuck waiting forever, and my husband and I are actually trying for a baby right now, so it's super urgent. I've heard that ureaplasma can cause miscarriages, so I really need to get this sorted out ASAP.😢
I know most people deliver their samples to Rockefeller, and I don't blame Dr. Beljo personally for the chaos, but I just can't get time off work to drive all the way to New York City in the morning. Everyone is working during those hours, so there's just no way I can make that trip. The only place I could potentially drop something off before work would be that small town in the Midwest.
Sorry again for the necro-post and if this is all a bit of a mess, I'm just feeling pretty desperate.😢
Alexander Watson6 said:So, you grab a gauze pad (I just picked up some compresses at the local CVS) and soak it in castor oil, then lay it right on your abdomen. To avoid making a massive mess, cover it with either a heating bag or some plastic wrap—personally, I find the wrap feels much better against my skin🙂. Then, toss a hot water bottle over it (I usually use those blue gel packs from Walgreens—you just soak them in a bowl of hot water for about 5 minutes; they cost around $6.00 and work wonders for both hot and cold therapy) and throw a towel on top... just lie down and chill for half an hour to an hour every day. Like any natural remedy, you have to be consistent to see results, but hey, I stuck with it and finally cleared my cysts after having them show up on every single exam for 12 years—completely gone now!
After you're done, just pop the oil-soaked gauze into a baggie. You don't need to re-soak it with more oil for maybe two weeks since it stays pretty oily... like I mentioned, if you look online, there are plenty of foreign sites with deep dives on how this actually works🙂, but it worked for me
.
Did you have those "bursting" kind of cysts too? Thank you so much for the tip, I'm definitely going to try this😘 And roughly how long did it take before you were clear? Sorry if I'm being annoying🙂
Alexander Watson6 said:Standard medicine doesn't really touch cysts... personally, I dealt with breast cysts by using castor oil compresses—it worked for me. While digging into how it actually works, I found plenty of info online suggesting it can help with ovarian cysts too—there's a ton of data out there in English—and maybe even fibroids...
Wait, how do you do compresses? Like, do you mean soaking a towel in castor oil and just resting it against your lower stomach? (This might be a totally silly question, but I'm honestly just a bit confused
Hey there.
So, I went in for my gynecological exam yesterday, and they used an ultrasound to find some cysts that seem to rupture whenever I get my period (I'm reading online now that these might be functional cysts, right?). I’m really wondering if this is anything dangerous or if I should be treating it with something, because my doctor didn't say a single word about it other than just telling me I have them. 🤷 I was also wondering if any of you have ever tried Femisan A drops? Does that actually help with these kinds of cysts? I know they can be a bit pricey $33 at the pharmacy, and they're meant for cysts, fibroids, cramps, and irregular cycles... (just to clarify, my periods are totally regular—they come right on schedule every month and I don't have any issues with that part). 🙂 I’d really appreciate some advice and I'll be eagerly waiting to hear from you! 😢
Jacob Barrett said:I don't use Always because it totally irritates my skin, so I stick with Libresse. 🤷
hmm... honestly, I'm stumped. I guess the smartest move would just be to go see a gynecologist (or at least give them a call)
Jacob Barrett said:Hey ladies, I really need some help! This is my first time posting on this forum, so sorry if I'm totally in the wrong place... basically, I'm 20 and I deal with pretty bad pain... last March, I actually ended up in the hospital because I was bleeding for 21 days straight. They found a ton of cysts on both ovaries and put me on Diane-35. Everything seemed fine until about two months ago when I stopped taking them because they were making me super nauseous and causing my hair to fall out... since then, my periods have been even heavier, way more painful, and they have this UNPLEASANT ODOR...😢 I started my period yesterday, and there's this weird smell. I'm being super careful with hygiene, obviously, but nothing is working. Even just 10-15 minutes after showering, the smell is noticeable... I can definitely smell it myself, and I'm worried other people can too, which makes me feel so helpless...🙄 What should I do? Could this be related to the cysts? Please help meee! 😢 🙂
What kind of pads are you using? Like, cloth ones or the plastic-y kind (like Always)? I used to get such a bad smell when I used Always just because of that plastic covering—it felt like everything down there was just sweating constantly. 😳
ambertrucker4 said:For some time now, I’ve been dealing with this brownish-orange discharge that seems to come and go quite randomly. Some days—or even just certain parts of the day—everything looks perfectly white and normal, but then by the evening, it turns brown. It also feels like there's a slight stinging sensation every once in a while. This all started after I had sex with my boyfriend, and I have this nagging suspicion, unfortunately, that it might be due to his poor hygiene... I really can't afford to go to a private clinic right now. Has anyone else here experienced anything similar? And is there any specific treatment I could try? I’ve already been taking Lactogyn, but it doesn't seem to be doing much for me... I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that women used to deal with infections using things like garlic or other alternative remedies, but I’ve never actually tried that, nor do I know how one would even go about it.
Look, I'm definitely no expert and I honestly have no clue what's actually going on, but it wouldn't hurt to try putting a tampon soaked in Acedofil in 2 or 3 times a day for a few days. Or maybe you could try wrapping a clove of garlic in gauze (even though it'll smell absolutely terrible 🤣 ) and leaving it in for a few hours... I mean, I don't know if it'll work, but I know it helped me when I was dealing with stinging and extra discharge. Now that I think about it, I get brown discharge too, but only during my fertile days and usually just for one day. Last month I didn't have it at all after I used the Acedofil, so whether that actually fixed it or not, I really don't know. But hey, it shouldn't hurt you at all, and it might just help. 😉
Okay, so... I’m not actually posting this for myself 😁 but for a friend who can't get online right now because her internet was cut off at home 😬
Here’s what’s going on with her: She has totally normal whitish/clear discharge that gets stretchy sometimes (which I know means she's in her fertile window 😍), and the smell is usually fine. But, since she has a desk job where she basically sits all day without moving much, she notices things start to smell a bit funky down there—but only while she's at work. Once she’s home or up and moving around, everything feels perfectly fine again. Also, during sex, she gets some pain near her ovaries (just at the beginning before she’s fully lubricated). So, she’s just wondering if this is all actually normal? I already know the first thing people are gonna say is to go see a gynecologist 🤣, but she really just wants to hear your thoughts. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this, or maybe tell her if it sounds like nothing to worry about? 🤷 Kisses 😍
I think things will just work out the way they’re supposed to. To be honest, I’m kind of torn—part of me really wants to be a mom right now, but then another part of me feels like maybe we should just hold off for a little while longer 🙂
I’m basically counting down the days until January 6th to see if my period actually shows up. If it doesn't, I'm heading straight to the drugstore to grab a test.
Thanks so much for all the advice, everyone 😬
Hey guys 😁 first off, I actually had an account way back before this one, but I totally lost my password for both my email and the forum, so that’s why I’m starting fresh with this account... I haven't really hung out in this sub before, so I really hope you’ll all be welcoming and maybe help me out if you can... anyway, let's get into it 😁
So, it was basically the last day of my moonlight (well, technically it finished two days ago on the 9th) and we were sleeping together (unprotected), and he finished inside me just a little bit before pulling out... eh, now I'm feeling some "symptoms" that I might just be making up in my head, who knows 😍 like, my breasts feel super sensitive, my lower stomach feels kind of bloated (or maybe I just ate too much, haha), I'm constantly exhausted, I get dizzy sometimes, and lately, I've been having these terrible headaches—they come and go, hit hard, then fade for a few hours and come right back... I haven't been throwing up or anything like what women usually talk about, and honestly, even if I am pregnant, it feels way too early for these symptoms to show up...
Just to clarify, my boyfriend and I weren't specifically trying for a baby, but we have talked about it and we'd be so happy if I were pregnant, since it wouldn't be "unplanned," it would just be arriving a little earlier than expected (at least, that's how my favorite guy put it 😍 )
My period usually starts right on the 6th of every month at around 10 AM, until that annoying red stuff finally shows up 😬
It's still way too early for a pregnancy test, but I just couldn't resist jumping on here to ask what you guys think about these symptoms, and if it's even possible to get pregnant during your period (since my cousins act like it's impossible, even though that sounds totally absurd to me, but whatever)
So yeah, I know this is a long post, but I hope you understand—I'm just so excited and anxious, but also a little scared because I'm just so unsure 🙂
Kisses to all my fellow moms-to-be and everyone else out there feeling the same anxiety 😍
