Blister on my heel in Health ·
Old school remedy here, though personally, I think it’s absolutely brutal and totally unbearable: candle wax. Just grab a candle—color doesn't matter, but if you have a plain white one lying around, go with that—light it up, let it burn for a second, and then drip that hot wax directly onto the blister.
At that exact moment, you’ll probably feel like you’re actually dying from the pain, but once that initial sting passes—give it a minute or two—just cover the whole thing with some gauze and leave it alone until the wax flakes off on its own.

My grandma always swore by this, and honestly, it makes the blister heal at lightning speed.

Now, if you’re more into the modern stuff and don't want to play with fire, you can just hit up a CVS or Walgreens for those specialized blister bandages. They’re basically little cushions that look kind of like this, they puff up like tiny little balloons to create a protective barrier, making it way easier to walk while the skin heals. Just don't expect any instant miracles for at least a few days, though.
If you've got a fluid-filled blister—you know, the bubbly kind on the bottom of your foot—carefully pop it with a sterile needle (you can grab a pack at any pharmacy) and then slap one of those bandages right over it.
So, what happens if the 60-day window for an international claim expires and the package is still nowhere to be found? Like, completely off the grid?
Hey there

So, I sent off a package (it was basically just one of those big padded envelopes acting like a box) over to the UK. Long story short, the delivery failed and now it’s been sent all the way back here to the US. Now I've got this thing sitting at a facility on Branimirov and the tracking says I owe about $17.

I have a couple of questions:
-What exactly am I being charged for here?
-And what actually happens to the package if I just decide to leave it there?

Thanks! 😉

Bright, frayed, soft—but they’re only half-finished.
I adore them. 😍

If you absolutely insist on trying it—and I suspect you do—you might find what you're looking for at the Point Nextov shop downtown.
The only thing I’ll give them is this—their selection process is absolutely abysmal.

Thanks! I'll definitely go check them out.👍
Honestly, mid-calf sounds perfect for me.😉

Anyone know where I can snag some softer boyfriend jeans? I’m hunting for a lighter wash and, if possible, something with a little distressing.
🙂Man, you gotta hit up the shops in NYC. I seriously need to go try some on first.
Every single time Sveki starts up with that "well, I didn't have it like this when I had..." routine—honestly, girl, you had kids over thirty years ago! Like, thanks for the unsolicited life lessons, really. It’s great, truly. This isn't my first rodeo, obviously; I know how to handle a baby. At the end of the day, this is my kid, and I know what's best for her. Yesterday she was acting all shocked that I’m using nursing pads... I mean, why aren't we all just going back to cloth diapers and calling it a day? And then the absolute kicker: she actually offered to move in with us to "help out." Yeah, right. She lives ten minutes away in a suburb, let's not get carried away.

I'll just deal with it and try not to lose my mind too much. 🙂

Between the morning sickness, not being able to hit the gym or go for a run, just sitting stuck in the car all day... the heartburn, the insomnia, the mood swings—it was a lot. But now that I've finally given birth, I feel like a completely different person 😁.

Lucky you! Huge congrats! 👏

For me, it’s the constant burning sensation in my feet—it drives me crazy. I can't even trim my toenails, let alone tie my sneakers or pull off a pair of boots. And don't even get me started on how I look; I've already outgrown my biggest bra. My best friend keeps teasing me, asking if I'm going to have to get everything custom-made by a tailor at a boutique in Beverly Hills 🤣. The swelling in my legs is the absolute worst part, though—they honestly look like elephant legs right now. Plus, my husband is getting on my last nerve with every little thing; he used to be chill, but now? Total nightmare. I'm just venting. I seriously cannot wait for this phase to be over so I can just focus all my energy on my little princess 😍

Thanks, everyone! 🙂

Tomorrow, I’m finally heading out on the hunt 😉

Where can I find some maternity tights? Specifically looking for something thicker than 20 DEN.

I was checking out stores by the Atlantic, but they only carry 20 DEN, so I grabbed a pair at a drugstore today and—ugh—total fail. The quality is honestly trash; they've got those weird horizontal stretch lines all over them, so I'm definitely taking them back.

About a month ago, H&M over on Flower Street had some 70 DEN options, but they’re totally sold out now. All they have left are those basic, thick cotton ones.

Just a heads up if you're looking: the main difference between maternity tights and regular ones is the stretchy waistband and that wide panel designed to cover the belly.
