Planet Footwear carried those plus-size boots last year, so they probably have them again this season. There was also a boutique right at the intersection of Vinodradska and Ilica, so I guess I might head over there in the next few days to check out what they have in stock. 😁
Where can I find some decent jeans in larger sizes around here?
I think Kohl's might actually have some pretty good styles, but their denim feels way too thin, so they just seem to rip at the thighs almost immediately. And honestly, it feels like Target has really let their quality slide lately, if you ask me.
I’ve heard people talk about that famous Amadeus plus-size line, but the one I went to had maybe a handful of options that felt incredibly shallow—even though the sales clerk kept insisting they were designed with more depth. I did manage to find one pair that fit me perfectly, but the fabric was just... weird. It has a ton of stretch, but the color has this strange shimmer to it that I can't quite put my finger on.

It’s honestly wild how much I saw myself in what you wrote. I’ve always struggled with feeling like I have no self-confidence, no real backbone, and no sense of who I actually am.
I felt somewhat rejected back in elementary school, which left these deep scars on me that I’ve spent years trying to hide—mostly from myself, but then from everyone else too.
Even though my parents were always there for me, there was this long stretch where I just completely shut down and retreated into my own shell. I loosened up a little during high school, I guess, only to pull back into myself again once I started college.
And then there's my relationship; what used to be something beautiful turned into an incredibly toxic relationship, and I’m honestly terrified of how to get out of it, mostly because I still don't want to admit certain truths to myself. Every time I get insulted, I somehow manage to find a way to blame myself. I constantly tell myself that my boyfriend is right, and that whatever he says must be the truth.
I really wish I could open up to my girlfriends, but I’ve drifted so far away from my closest friends that I don't think I have the energy to bridge that gap right now. I also wouldn't want to tell my mom because I know it would shake her up too much, and she already has enough on her plate. As for my sister and brother, they just don't seem to get it when I try to hint at my struggles; it feels like my cries for help just go unheard.
Anyway, I'm finally done with my exams for now, so I've decided to take a break from my campus job this week. I'm planning to head home to my family for a few days to try and clear my head as much as possible. I've made a firm decision to try and build up some actual strength and character, just to see how far I can take that.
It feels so much easier just letting all this out 😁

I happened to stumble upon an ad for the s.Oliver Triangle collection the other day, though from what I can tell, it looks like it might only be available online. I was wondering if anyone had actually checked the physical s.Oliver stores lately to see if they carry any decent plus-size pieces?

I know that Piazza Italia over in Arena Mall carries larger sizes; I picked up an absolutely stunning winter skirt there once.
Then there’s C&A, which occasionally stocks some non-basic, unique pieces that actually look decent and fit properly.
I also cleared out some items from Kik; they sometimes have decent jeans, though it's hit or miss.
As for H&M, they only carry a plus-size section in the Westgate location...
It really is such a shame, isn't it? We see plus-size bloggers being more active than ever globally, and there's this massive body-positivity movement everywhere, yet in reality, you can't find anywhere decent to shop here.
I get it—foreign online shops are the only way to go—but when it comes to bras and pants, I absolutely have to try them on in person.
Even finding boots this winter was a struggle; I finally managed to find a pair that I can actually zip all the way up, but it took forever. 🎉
Where did you get those boots?
Send me a photo in a DM, please! I'm looking for tall boots, and I definitely have thick calves too.😢
I really love hearing that genuine spark in someone's voice when they talk. I can't stand it when people start spinning these long stories in such a monotone way, you know?
It also makes me pretty uncomfortable when someone just stares blankly at their listener or, even worse, won't make eye contact at all. It just feels awkward for me.
And I honestly struggle when someone is talking to me but seems to be mostly just mumbling to themselves the whole time, so I have to keep asking them to repeat things just to catch the gist of what's being said.
But if I had to pick, the absolute worst are those people who wave their hands around way too much, or the ones who won't stop tapping you on the shoulder or arm or whatever. I have this friend who gets so caught up in her own stories that I sometimes feel like my arm is going to be covered in bruises by the end of the conversation...
I’m also on the lookout for a budget-friendly printer, maybe something in the $90 range. I wouldn't mind a monochrome model, though I think having wireless capabilities would be a huge plus. I'd probably be printing around 100 pages a month or so.
Any suggestions you guys have would be really appreciated. 🙂
They would be absolutely clueless 😁.
I’ve never really been one to talk about myself, and honestly, it kind of stings when I realize how people perceive me. I’ve always been pretty quiet and reserved, plus I have a bit of a speech impediment (😍), so there was never any chance of me just blabbing away constantly—especially not around strangers, and definitely not about my own life. The idea of stepping out in front of an audience is just a total nightmare for me; I could never do it.
Besides, I’m not exactly a fan of people who just drone on about themselves without anyone even asking. I can relax once I get to know someone, but even then, I usually only answer questions if they’re directed at me, nothing more. Like, if someone asks what year I graduated, I’ll give them the year and leave it at that, because I find it really hard to volunteer much information about myself 😁
How long does an A1 insurance referral actually stay valid? I ordered mine the very same day it was issued, but my appointment isn't scheduled for another month and a half, so I'm wondering if I'll need to get a new one or have this one extended, or if it's still good to go as is.
Edit: found it 😁
48.
I'm not really a fan of Takko jeans because the denim feels a bit... I don't know, just kind of strange to me.
I used to think C&A was the go-to, and I actually have a pair from my junior year that I still wear quite a bit, but lately, it seems like nothing I try on there fits right, even if I grab a larger size.
I think someone mentioned Marks & Spencer earlier, so I was wondering what their jeans are like? Like, how far up the sizing goes, and what kind of prices am I looking at generally?

Hey, where should I look for some decent jeans? I'm hunting for some black pants for everyday wear, nothing too fancy or anything. Ideally something that isn't crazy expensive, maybe up to $133 at most.

Patrick Castillo4, I’m wishing you a really speedy recovery and hoping you can get out of there as soon as possible.
I haven’t actually been admitted to the Trauma unit myself, though I have spent some time in the ER. I picked up a bacterial infection that ended up causing the cartilage in my knee to start breaking down. The first time it happened, I felt this intense pressure just trying to stand up, so they rushed me over to Trauma.
I sat in the ER for about two hours on one of those gurneys, just crying and groaning in pain, but nobody really seemed to notice or care. Eventually, they took me for imaging, where the doctor managed to spot a dislocation despite the X-ray looking perfectly fine. Later on, the physical therapist was absolutely stunned when she saw the scan and his findings. They put me in a cast for three weeks. After that, I had a follow-up appointment where I think the nurse accidentally put her full weight on my bad leg. I mean, I’m sure she didn't do it on purpose, I truly believe that, but the pain was so sharp I swear I saw stars. Naturally, I ended up getting a lecture and a bit of a scolding for being "difficult."
The second time it flared up, the ER sent me straight back to Trauma again. I was lying there on the gurney, completely unable to move, when a nurse came by and told me there wasn't a doctor available and that I just needed to stay put and wait right there. 🤣 Then I finally made it to imaging—it was some kind of ultrasound—and the doctor told me he had a meeting in ten minutes and asked if I could please hurry up and get dressed. He basically pushed me out into the hallway while I was still exposed.
Ever since then, I try to avoid even thinking about that hospital. I guess the sooner I can stay far away from there, the better.
