Leggings lovers: Let's talk! in Off-topic ·
William Grant20 said:silverwolf88, the council isn't exactly thrilled about you showing up on this forum ☕

What council? Are we talking about the Federal Communications Commission being offended by my presence here?
What actual, legitimate reason does this "council" have for deciding I shouldn't be allowed on the forum?

I actually got slapped with a three-month ban because of leggings

Thanks for starting this thread

P. S.

Look, I've laid this work out clearly enough for a freshman science major to follow—so in my view, the odds of a mathematical derivation failing peer review are basically zero—but hey, even after 30 years in this field, there's always a chance I could trip up. So, I’ll let you know if my review passes or fails once the top-tier physics and math experts have had their say.

They even asked for a translator, so we assigned them a local guide from Peru.

I find it hard to believe you're some secret society operative whose story is being taken seriously by scientists in major developed nations. Relationship issues: Need some advice in Off-topic ·
dustypilot5 said:I’m 30 years old and I’m still a virgin. Up until now, I’ve only been in short-term relationships—maybe two months max—because I just wasn't ready. I know I'm older, but I didn't want to rush things just because of my age. Now I'm one month into a relationship; he’s sweet and interesting, but he has zero patience and doesn't want to wait. I don't know what to do. Every time I feel that wave of fear, I realize I just don't want this to happen.
Has anyone dealt with something similar, or does anyone have advice/thoughts? Thanks everyone

Does he dress broad and try to act charming to women, or is he just some kind of lady-killer?

Look, if he doesn't respect your boundaries or care about your sense of security, my advice is simple: cut him loose. Let him go find some other woman who's eager to please him.

Alexander Thompson said:So, he managed to mess up a formula from the seventeenth century by a mere 1%? Bravo!

And that’s not even the half of it! He actually managed to double the energy of a moving body—suddenly, energy isn't (mv^2)/2 anymore, it's mv^2!

This is going to lead to a massive spike in transportation costs because you'll need twice the fuel just to hit the same speeds. But don't worry, we won't let him publish this "revolutionary" derivation, so things will stay exactly as they were.

In short, it's just an ass rubbing an ass.

I don't see how a mathematical error changes prices when private corporations set arbitrary rates—like how big banks charge insane interest, hotels charge luxury rates for a room, or restaurants charge premium prices for dinner, and so on. That greed is a much bigger driver of any financial crisis than some minor correction in a math formula.

Alexander Thompson said:Djokica, I gave you my rating. You little dog—🤷

Anyway, how did you actually improve Moreover? You were bragging quite a bit about pulling that off 😒

Where exactly are we with kinetic energy? Lost in some dead-end alleyway?

Why have you started acting all high and mighty with scientists who clearly think I know more about this field than you do when it comes to grading my knowledge?

Once my work on the mathematical derivation of kinetic energy using infinitesimal calculus, which I am currently finalizing has been reviewed and graded, then I'll be able to write here whether my review passed or failed.

Brandon Harris20 said:Don't bother—those two will just rip you off and pass it off as their own work.

Look, I’m finishing my paper because this group of scientists actually wants to review it—they're sitting there waiting to see my mathematical derivations. I still need to include some practical examples and references, but I've run into some technical hurdles. If my math passes the peer review, they'll probably send it back to me to fix the formatting—it's a process. I even told them straight up that my English isn't great, and they responded by saying they have translators on staff, so I'll just send the paper over in American English once it's ready.

Gregory Thomas said:Didn't I already state that your correction to Kepler's 3rd law is roughly equal to the "official correction"?
Isn't that a decent enough assessment?

Fine.
If I’ve followed you correctly, your version of the correction to Kepler's 3rd law yields even higher precision when determining the mass of a celestial body that lacks a natural satellite.

But—if my understanding holds—we actually use artificial satellites to get that kind of precision for bodies without natural moons.
Assuming I've got that right!

Here is an example of an approximate calculation for the mass of the Moon:

And here is an example of calculating the mass for the planet Jupiter, which actually has natural satellites:

Have you ever even heard of Gauss's error theory?

Look, it is technically possible to calculate the mass of a celestial body without relying on natural or

artificial satellites—just by using the known mass of the Solar System—but the accuracy is nowhere near what you get when you have the

known mass of a satellite.

What’s next? Do you want me to derive the math for you, just so Alexander Thompson can post it and claim it's your own work?

Anyway, how exactly did you "improve" Moreover? You wouldn't shut up about how you fixed him 😒

So, are you actually lying and claiming I don't know Math 1—the course I already passed?

Alexander Thompson said:Opica, is this one of those times they tried to feed you some non-existent Moreover transformation?

Moreover doesn't exist—but you still bit the bait on the "moreover/furthermore" thing in the text :🙏.

And you—in all your ignorance—actually bit and started smugly bragging about how you "corrected" this imaginary transformation?

What kind of university did you even graduate from? Do you actually consider yourself a better physicist or mathematician than someone from FOIevac? And are we really back to you spamming topics just because I started them?

If you're so convinced my math isn't accurate, why don't you just give me a 1 (fail) in that poll? What are you so afraid of—losing your license if you publicly hand out an incorrect grade?

Alexander Thompson said:Look at this:

Djokica, don't try to pull one over on me.

I bet you won't see a single bit of your work published in the journal I edit—or any other, for that matter.

There are a thousand and two reasons for that.

Actually, those two reasons are effectively the same thing in both our cases.

Think of it as a riddle, though I highly doubt you have the capacity to solve it. And no, the answer isn't "bulldog."

BTW, unlike you, @Gregory Thomas actually has some interesting insights here; I suspect someone will be reaching out to him soon.

So, why don't you describe the experiments you used to measure the gravitational constant? You did it empirically, right—if you can even remember that?
Don't tell me you lied about measuring it?

What’s your take? Why else would he write that your calculations are worse than ones from the seventeenth century?

Hey, Opica, come on, write something more about Moreover 😬

I don't own a telescope to perform measurements; I just used publicly available data found online and included links to those datasets, just like I included the links to the data in that survey topic presentation.

ZustraZiraf pointed out who caused the confusion regarding the Moreover correction link

Stop playing dumb. You know perfectly well who was the first to present Moreover as some sort of individual and stir up this mess about that hypothetical person's correction via these links.

Gregory Thomas—do you honestly believe the data in these links is incorrect?

Which correction yields a more accurate calculation for Earth and the Moon?

If you're so certain my presented calculations are wrong, why aren't you giving me a 1 (insufficient)?
One more thing I need to clarify for everyone here, since those few people trying to twist my words

Look, just because I mentioned that a lot of women feel awkward hanging out with me because I’m part of a male minority wearing leggings—that doesn't mean they hate me. Some of them have actually told me straight up that I'm a great guy; it's just that being seen with me makes them uneasy because of certain local bigwigs. These "power players" aren't the majority—they're a tiny group—but compared to me and the regular folks who actually back me up, they hold all the sway. Most people are too scared to cross them, leaving only the opposition willing to stand up to those local bullies.
wanderingpanther68 said:You’re constantly claiming everyone is out to get you. ☕

That's a lie—only a tiny handful of people are against me, specifically a few of you right here . I honestly can't tell if you're just messing with me or actually abusing your positions; you know exactly who I am, yet you stay anonymous, which seems to give you the green light to treat me poorly. Meanwhile, plenty of people in the real world have my back. Since I've been getting such garbage treatment here, I've actually told people in my life to read through your posts—just so they can see how you guys treat me and all the nonsense you try to feed me.

I seriously don't understand why this forum allows this kind of behavior. There aren't many of you acting like this, so either the mods are afraid of you or they're in on it—especially if this site is trying to follow the path of Index.com. And frankly, Index.com completely screwed up by allowing me to be treated like a minority of one.
