Sandra Walker4 said:Please, you clearly couldn't or wouldn't acknowledge the massive amount of criticism there was. Besides, those political rallies are usually fueled by "ecstasy" and applause from the crowd, while this is a traumatic experience for such small children—on one side, half-naked men in underwear advertising their sexuality, and on the other, a frenzied mob making threats. If that isn't abuse, I don't know what is....
Beyond that, shouldn't children be protected from things like this at an age where they shouldn't even be required to attend rallies promoting specific sexualities or orientations?

Those parents who dress their kids in extremist uniforms are usually uneducated folks straight off a farm, yet you all think you're so progressive while doing these things to children....

And ambertinker51 is a joke, judging others based on a single post and whining because I build my views on details that aren't necessarily exceptions (though they often are, since people refuse to see their own mistakes). And they definitely think they're the smartest person in the room and always right....

So, we're on the same page then..

Are you suggesting it's worse to teach kids about sexual diversity than it is to expose them to religious or nationalistic hatred?
Don't go thinking those kids at the other rallies aren't getting skewed perceptions, even if it all happens amidst a sense of "religious fervor."

I'm not making excuses for either side. Kids shouldn't have any business being at any of these rallies until they have a better grasp of reality—most importantly, an understanding of themselves. But if I were forced to choose, I'd much rather they learn about sexual diversity than learn who they are supposed to hate..

2. This whole issue is actually pretty common—around 2-3% of the population deals with BPD, which would be roughly 150,000 similar cases here in the US
3. It's not "quasi-" anything, it's actual scientific terminology—not psychological, but psychiatric
Informally speaking: homophobes are patients who make society even sicker, making victims more vulnerable and those being abused even more targeted...

You've got to hate them... definitely..!!!!

1. Masculinity isn't determined by feeling your testicles... but I suppose that's something you'll NEVER grasp.
2. I’m actually referring to your own personal baggage, which you seem to be dodging every time we talk.
3. What kind of school did you attend to toss around terminology like that? If you actually graduated from a legitimate institution, tell me... where exactly were you licensed to practice?

Somewhere in a comic book shop, I assume.

As for Sandra Walker4, I really only have one thing to say... while people are busy nitpicking every single minor mistake made by the gay community, absolutely everything seems to be swept under the rug when it comes to the straight population.
It’s just an open door for kids to be swayed by all sorts of political rhetoric and various other agendas—including outright hate speech, for that matter.

I don't recall anyone ever making a massive stink about people leading children toward Nazi rallies or extremist protests (usually under the convenient guise of "having no other choice"), or kids running around waving flags with giant Swastikas on them. But the second a gay person takes a child to a Pride parade? Oh my god... suddenly it's an absolute catastrophe!!!!

ambertinker51 said:...honestly, one day the only logical explanation for the witch trials will probably be that those poor souls were actually suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder—BPD

(after deeply analyzing behavior patterns that deviate significantly from the baseline of a disturbed individual)

It’s honestly ridiculous how normalizing homosexuality does such a massive disservice to gay people themselves—I'm talking about the concept of actual self-awareness

they end up "equal" and "free," yet completely deluded into thinking they're normal, and they almost narrowly escaped being torched with Molotov cocktails back in the States on July 7, 2007...

Logically and factually, it wasn't any different from the burnings in Salem back in 1692.

Exactly... is there even a point in saying more?
Based on this persona being quoted here, they basically want to see every gay man sent to the breaking stones. That would be the summary of their intellectual discourse, considering they started off by claiming to be an intellectual... heaven forbid!!👎

What have those homophobes actually done to warrant our sympathy or make us understand your tragedy?

The person closest to me was never given a chance to see what they were dealing with—no access to actual psychosocial treatment. My kids didn't grasp what a "borderline mother" was doing to them, nor did they realize the devastating impact Parenteral Alienation was having on their lives...

All because the people in charge—the ones who were supposed to help—refused to acknowledge how personality disorders fuel all these massive public health and social issues...

And they won't, because the Pride movement has clouded their vision by pushing their own dysfunction as the new normal...!!!!

Perhaps because you’re so busy throwing exclamation points around—if we’re going to borrow English terminology—I’ve lost sight of the forest for the trees here... but...

1. I still haven't quite figured out your gender.
2. I don't fully grasp the core issue you're presenting.
3. And frankly, I don't understand why, in a perfectly casual conversation, you feel the need to resort to such cowardly, dysfunctional, and entirely unnecessary pseudo-scientific jargon.😕

ambertinker51 said:Maybe one day some disordered person close to you—someone using lies, projection, gaslighting, and splitting just to mask their own deep-seated sense of inadequacy—will actually manage to take your kids away by using cold, unfeeling bureaucrats from the local Census Bureau family services teams. Then you’ll finally understand what it means to fight for the rest of your life against people who want to label personality disorders as "normal." First in public opinion, and then through the legal system and the enforcement of American family law.

Homophobes are disordered individuals. Their sex lives have never been my business, but because of them and the feminists who baked their agendas into state policy... and ultimately into how family law is enforced... my children suffered...!!!

So, I hate you all like dogs—like Nazis, like fascists, like scum, like biological waste. But honestly? That doesn't even touch how much I loathe the people who protect you and promote your dysfunction as if it were perfectly normal...!!!!

Fine... like I mentioned before, I'm bisexual, but it's people like you who make me want to pretend I'm a lesbian instead.😉

But go ahead... give us an example. What exactly have these people done to justify all this so we can actually empathize with your little tragedy?

ambertinker51 said:Look, pervert, try answering with actual arguments instead of just attacks. Even the main premise of this thread is just a classic collective *argumentum ad hominem*. It’s nothing more than one of those typical homophobe clichés.

First off: I didn't start this thread.
Second: I'm not a man.
Third: Don't go thinking that dropping Latin phrases suddenly makes you some sort of intellectual. Real intellect is earned through actual substance—things like genuine comprehension, open-mindedness, respect for civil liberties, and a healthy liberal outlook.

ambertinker51 said:It’s purely an intellectual argument: there is this calculated attempt to bake the idea into our collective consciousness that personality disorders are actually "normal." They're trying to achieve this by pushing for the acceptance of people with disordered or underdeveloped gender identities—basically using what they call a "milder" diagnosis as a way to bridge the gap after homosexuality was stripped from the DSM-IV...

Look, I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with the Department of Social Services. Their whole mindset is broken—they act like every adult hetero male is some kind of domestic abuser waiting to happen. It's ridiculous. The reality is that the actual abusers in close relationships are exclusively, period, people living with Borderline Personality Disorder...!!

Screw you all—you're nothing but tools being used by feminists...!!!!

the reason is intellectual?

That bolded section is the quintessential example of a self-proclaimed American intellectual... and I rest my case.👎

James Allen6 said:I should probably mention that I recognized the skin on your avatar as well.😁

And I wanted to ask you: why do gay people feel such a strong need to remind everyone of their sexual orientation and "gain public attention"?

It is almost as if they are searching for some kind of validation, because perhaps they aren't entirely sure of their own path...😕

Way to go!😁

Do me a favor and actually read through my previous posts on the site first... I really don't feel like repeating myself (or playing a game of copy-paste here).

Jonathan Kim4 said:It's funny how much you can deduce from an avatar...

The breakdown: my avatar features Skin, the lead singer of Skunk Anansie—she's a prominent activist among famous Britons, and she's a lesbian.
Back when I was a teenager, her confidence and attitude absolutely crushed me, even though she was gay.

Regarding everything mentioned above, "coexistence" is possible—and it's vital. I'm not saying everyone has to understand why guys date guys or women love women, but they do have to accept it. Simply put, they need to realize they can't use a hammer or a shovel to "beat the gayness out of someone," and that by stigmatizing it, they're only making things worse. Not necessarily worse for the gay population itself, but for the generations coming up behind us.

And personally, I think gay marriage should be legalized, purely from a property and legal standpoint. It's totally lame that two guys or two girls can live together their entire lives, building a home and a life together, only for one to pass away and have everything snatched by some distant relative who beat them senseless a few years ago, simply because their partner has zero rights to, I should emphasize, their shared estate.

That's all from me for tonight. Over and out. I'm heading out now, and I'm challenging all the homophobes, the straight folks, and—fingers crossed—the gay community to a rendezvous at the same spot around 2:00 PM tomorrow.

@slywolf45: hang in there, I believe there's a time coming when things will be "over the rainbow" friendly.👍

Bravo! You haven't managed to impress me until now, but you finally did. Not many people actually recognize who is on my avatar! Respect!👍 🙏

But... look, I didn't choose her for my avatar specifically because she's a lesbian. Honestly, I outgrew that whole rebellious phase of self-expression (you know, the whole "punk's not dead" aesthetic via avatars) a long time ago.
I picked this avatar because her expression—and her general posture—reminds me of the "freak out" attitude I tend to maintain regarding society and the world at large. This is completely unrelated to the topic at hand. GENERALIZED!

You’re right about everything you said; that’s essentially the core mission of the LGBTQ+ community. But how are they going to grab public attention if we don't talk about it, or if we don't push the issue at least once a year? Anyway... I won't drone on about Pride anymore. I think I've made my point.

Have a great time out, STrashn.😘

Jonathan Kim4 said:Yeah, I also thought that was some kind of love emoji.

My take: I'm not gay, and I'm certainly not a homophobe. When a gay person talks to me, I don't feel the need to go scrub myself raw with a steel toilet brush to get the "vibe" off, nor am I preoccupied with their sexual orientation mid-conversation. I don't view them as being particularly "oppressed"—they sit on the same level for me as ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, or veterans dealing with PTSD.

While they are certainly denied certain rights, in my opinion—forgive the bluntness—it feels a bit performative when they march through a downtown plaza just to solicit sympathy from the rest of "cool and urban" America.

And no, I don't think my rugged charm could convert two lesbians. That’s just how it is.

Hmm... "smiley thinker"... I can't be bothered to look up the exact term...
Alright, let's get into it. Technically, I'm bi.
What does that actually mean? You might wonder (or maybe you won't, but I'm going to explain anyway :P)
It means that, in rare instances, men can still physically arouse me, even though emotionally, it’s always women. I’m currently in a relationship with a woman (and before this, I was with a woman for four years). Why am I bringing this up? Simply to clarify that I’m not speaking from a place of theory or imagination; I’m right in the thick of this "issue," so to speak.
I didn't attend the Pride parade today, nor have I ever attended one. It isn't because I find Pride lame, but rather because I live in a small, judgmental community where being recognized could lead to some very REAL problems.

But the goal of Pride isn't really about triggering empathy... it's more about stating facts. It's saying, "Here we are, we are human beings!"
No one in the LGBT community actually thinks a parade is going to suddenly win over classic homophobes, people struggling with PTSD, or similar groups. Instead, it serves as a message to future generations who might be sitting there feeling lost—telling them that being gay, lesbian, trans, or whatever else is perfectly fine. It's a way of saying they aren't alone, it isn't a disease, and they shouldn't have to feel ashamed or like second-class citizens.

That is the ultimate purpose of Pride. My generation likely won't see that shift, but if we work at it, perhaps the next one will.

Of course I liked it... and for the record, it had absolutely nothing to do with beer!!!🤣(So, does that mean I'm not being lonely regarding that smiley face? Or did I completely misread the room?😉 )

ON Topic: Have you actually stated your true opinion on this matter yet? Maybe I skimmed over it or missed a beat while reading... but come on, go ahead, run it by me one more time (feel free to just copy and paste😉)

Jonathan Kim4 said:The one thing I can’t quite wrap my head around in this whole mess: how is it that the Catholic Church hasn't said a single word about it? Honestly—do they really think they don't need to issue another warning about Sodom and Gomorrah, or have they just decided to declare a total media blackout?

I suppose they're all too preoccupied with the pedophilia scandals within their own ranks lately..

Jonathan Kim4 said:That might be a bit too much of a utopia for my taste—though honestly, even a little boredom would be fine by me.

I wouldn't go that far... unless we're just talking about the homophobe, of course. There are still plenty of other psychological quirks left to dissect—you know, the various phobias and manias out there. That's where the real fun begins!😍

On a completely different note... does anyone else think this grinning emoji looks like some kind of lovestruck idiot? To me, those pink bits flying off the face look more like little hearts... actually, maybe I should just go grab another beer.😉

Picture Pride 2008—no police in sight—just two bald, Nazi-looking creeps leading the parade, wearing nothing but underwear, holding tattooed hands, whispering "sweetie" and "honey" to each other while they flirt right there in the middle of the square.

🤣 🤣 🙏
Just imagine a world... with absolutely zero homophobes...😁

silverscout15 said:I just wish someone could give me a clear explanation of the actual purpose of Pride.. without getting into whether being gay is fine or not!

To put it bluntly... if it weren't for the homophobes, the bigots, the Neanderthals, and the ultra-conservatives out there, Pride wouldn't even exist. The entire purpose of the LGBT community is to signal that they have nothing to be ashamed of and that they deserve the exact same rights as everyone else. And I want to emphasize everyone—we aren't talking about special privileges here, just basic human rights. In some sort of utopia where everything is perfect, Pride wouldn't be necessary because homosexual people would already enjoy full equality. But this isn't a fantasy world; people still have to fight against prejudice. They have to tell the world they aren't ashamed of who they are, and maybe that Pride parade is the one day a year they feel empowered to say it loudly.

Some people ask why heterosexual people don't have a Pride march every single day. The reality is, they basically live it every day without even realizing it. They never had to hide their orientation out of fear of being verbally harassed or physically attacked.

Once homosexual individuals reach true social parity, then every Pride march will become redundant and essentially pointless...

Jonathan Kim4 said:No. The real topic here is the crowd that necessitates having 300 protesters and 500 police officers on standby.

Just a little observation for the group—it feels like there are more cops protecting these parades nowadays than there were guarding Putin.

A rather depressing reality, isn't it?👎

I personally know a woman who was physically assaulted on a subway train today right after a pride event.

Oh, sure, because you two are clearly the moral compasses of this thread.

And let’s be real... it's not just gay men being targeted. Lesbians get hit too. I suppose they must have posed a massive threat to the existence of whatever thugs happened to be riding that subway car.👎 👎

Wait, was the topic actually about Gay Pride... or was it?

Otherwise... homosexuality seems to be one of those topics that stays perpetually relevant, doesn't it?🙄

I honestly feel like we’ve already exhausted this particular vein of conversation through endless threads like "Is being gay okay?" or "What’s your take on homosexuality?" or whatever other variation they throw at us...

We've seen the full spectrum of drama here—bruised egos, heated insults, name-calling, the occasional compliment, and everything in between.

Does anyone actually have the stomach (aside from the obvious thread starter😬) to dive back into that swamp?😕
But then again... you know how people are. They might just wake up and decide to stir the pot again after all this time.😉
Are homophobes just closeted? in Psychology ·
Jonathan Kim4 said:Exactly. That's pretty much what I was getting at.
When a homophobe starts wondering—even for a split second—if they might actually be gay, it's like a panic light goes off in their brain and just starts screaming: PANIC! PANIC! PANIC!

I mean, if someone is truly, unshakably certain about their sexual orientation, I don't see where the problem lies...

Yeah, that’s about the gist of it. If that single thought triggers something resembling a nervous breakdown that has to be vented through aggression, then something is clearly broken. Either they’re dealing with some deep-seated trauma regarding the subject, or they felt a surge of actual excitement and immediately spiraled into massive panic because of it.
