Clones in Feedback & Suggestions ·
The whole Bezmudnik situation isn't exactly easy to navigate when you're trying to figure out who's actually being real and who's just a total troll... I mean, everyone is basically just shouting whatever random thought pops into their head without any rhyme or reason. And honestly? Not every new user on the forums is some bot clone. It’s not that simple.

We’re scrubbing the chat in that thread and getting rid of obvious trolling, but like I said, it's tough to tell who’s actually serious and who's just messing around.

So, bottom line... if a post looks sketchy, just report it.

Does it count as part of that, since I pointed out publicly how incredibly rude it was to tell a user to just come complain here if they don't like something on unknown, especially when that user already has a bias over at unknown?

You totally missed a juicy little detail there. I had no clue the guy had any bias over at unknown. I actually sent him a private message to apologize the very second after your "lovely" comment went up.

I also sent you a PM explaining exactly why your post got nuked and how I reached out to the guy immediately to make things right. And you replied to that one pretty "politely" (no quotes this time!) so don't even try to claim you didn't see it.

It’s probably pointless to ask why there's so much hypocrisy going on, but whatever, I had to say it. Honestly, this says way more about you than it does about me...

And since you guys are practically begging for it, I'm done with the warnings. Everyone knows the rules, and everyone knows what happens when you break them.

boldwalker12 was actually being so nice that she managed to pull out some of the funniest posts you guys have ever written.

What’s with all this transparently weak attempt at being subtle? It’s blindingly obvious which moderator we’re talking about. Is it really that hard to just say her name?

Look, I don't see anything wrong with what I posted. nimbleowl6 and a certain group of people decided to hang out on the Divorce section—you know, that specific subforum where people usually come looking for actual advice during the worst times of their lives.

And they thought it would be hilarious to just mock people going through a divorce.

Honestly, it’s kind of pathetic that I even have to tell people way older than me that making fun of a topic like this is crossing the line... but I'll say it anyway. You all went way too far, period. All I did was point it out and delete some pretty nasty (and honestly, not even funny) posts. Next time, I'll just hand out red cards if that's how you want to play it.

And please, stop being so childish. Now everyone who hangs out in the same chatrooms as nimbleowl6 is gonna band together and act shocked that we all ended up on the same thread sharing the same opinion. I can already see exactly which forum regulars are gonna "accidentally" show up...

I’m totally open to criticism, sure, but I also take into account the track records of the users throwing it around... and their history of starting drama.

Best,

I honestly have no clue why you think you get to set the rules for this thread or go on a public crusade against the mods.

To be real with you—and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one feeling this—your constant lecturing about what the topic "should" be and calling everyone else clueless is way more annoying than a little bit of off-topic chatter.
Talking smack about the moderation team within a thread is a big no-no here.

Look, the whole point of this discussion is about those 'freeloaders' looking for a free summer vacation. It doesn't matter if they're trying to crash someone's beach house or a cabin in the woods... it's all the same thing. There's zero reason to split this into two separate threads.
We do scrub posts that drift too far off-track, but we aren't sitting here staring at the screen 24/7 waiting to police every single word...

Steven Chavez2 said:And let’s be real—Nerini’s views are just as insulting to non-smokers. She basically treats everyone else like second-class citizens who exist solely to cater to her addiction. By her logic, you should probably even let her smoke in your own damn house just so Her Majesty doesn't feel slighted. That isn't "health consciousness," it's pure selfishness.

But hey, her takes are considered totally kosher because she doesn't use any bad words, right?

With all due respect, I think you guys have fallen straight into the political correctness trap.

Best,

You claimed your post was deleted for no reason, but I literally gave you the reason. And maybe—just a thought—try actually reading the PDF rules if you aren't trying to be a total pain...

Steven Chavez2 said:Well, my post wasn't trying to provoke anyone. Especially since it was a direct response to someone who had already set themselves up with this incredibly rigid, "us vs. them" attitude toward non-smokers.

On another note, there's one thing that strikes me as... well... a bit ridiculous. On one hand, you guys are busy deleting benign little comments just because they might be perceived as a provocation. But then, on the other hand, when someone starts a thread about a personal struggle, you often let these absolutely brutal comments fly at the author. Look, I'm fine with the latter—honestly, I hate it when people are treated like they're made of glass, and let's be clear, this forum isn't some therapy support group—but then it makes no sense why there's such intense fear regarding the first part. Let's emphasize those words: "perceived" and "potential." I'm telling you, people aren't made of paper.

A troll—now that's a provocation, clearly. That's a different story altogether.

Sorry, but your post was pretty disgusting toward smokers. And if that thread kept going, it probably would've just turned into a nonstop barrage of insults aimed at smokers (which doesn't belong here).

Just so we're clear, users who were insulting non-smokers got warned too, so there's no confusion there.

And just a quick reminder, you wrote that post after a moderator asked you to stay on topic, since smokers in general aren't what this thread is about.

So yeah. That's that.

Michelle Perez3 said:I only ever exchanged actual letters with my first boyfriend (yeah, there was the internet back then, but maybe it was just about the romance, who knows?). Honestly, you can always tuck a physical letter away in a shoebox and hold onto it forever, but this whole email thing? It just doesn't hit the same... whether you delete it or save it, nothing feels tangible. It’s all just... non-existent ;D

See, I'm the exact opposite—I lose everything I touch. At least with email, I've got a permanent record 😁
Plus, you can always just print stuff out and stash it in a box or a drawer or whatever

I used to write to this guy when I was like 16 or 17, but it wasn't even romantic, really... more like these deep philosophical debates (well, as "deep" as you can get when you're 16, right?). And we used to hide our letters in these super secret spots 😍

Honestly, I still write actual physical letters 😁 I’ve got this friend from Thailand, a buddy over in Rwanda, and another pal in Ireland... we've been keeping the pen-pal thing alive for years now.
Every time a letter shows up in my mailbox, I get as hyped as a little kid on Christmas morning.
There’s just something way more personal about snail mail... I can’t quite put my finger on it, and don't get me wrong, I don't hate email, but still.
It’s the handwriting, the texture of the paper, even the scent... you can actually sense how much someone is changing just by looking at it.
