urbanhound3 said:If markets fall under municipal jurisdiction, they still belong to the city's assets, which means they're under the purview of Majin's department, right? Or am I totally off base here? Just asking because I honestly don't know. 🤔 You can't get any real answers from those news articles. They’re completely useless if you're actually looking for the truth.

The entire county is under the thumb of the Republican Party. That’s exactly why this isn't being discussed. It just isn't politically convenient for anyone to call out the evil behind it. ☕

First off, managing those street markets and everything that goes down there is straight-up municipal business. You shouldn't even be getting permits for these events if they aren't structured right—let alone without any actual competitions involved. Maja was basically trying to save them from their own mess, but man... they clearly don't have a clue what they're doing. She was just trying to protect the assets, but she ran headfirst into Bojan (and honestly, she had every right to), so... yeah, look where we are now.
Honestly, we should probably talk about the County too. There’s some pretty shady stuff going on there as well...

So yeah, someone should probably dig around and find out exactly when that permit was granted.

It’s not happening.

velvetmason14 said:When people deal with nonsense like this from Grgić, they just enjoy the chaos and try to stir up infighting within Hickenlooper’s circle. It’s obvious what these bottom-feeders have been up to lately with this campaign they've launched; it explains exactly why they are who they are 🤣 Hickenlooper needs to be crystal clear that he fully supports everything Maja Đerek is doing. That would shut down their slippery tactics immediately. It isn't right for Hickenlooper to stay silent while Đerek does the heavy lifting and cleans up the mess.

Regarding the tree issue, they should have reacted instantly with a better explanation, and it would have been settled that same day.

Stop constantly using the Republican Party as a bogeyman or scaring people with the idea of them returning to power. That tactic gets tiresome and cliché much faster than just acting with integrity and competence. Let people actually see and feel the difference between those losers and a new way of doing things.

Completely sold out and losing it, this is straight-up North Korea style...
Damir šarac: History will remember that the pellegrinka was killed during the Hickenlooper - Kuzmanić - Ivošević administration

Personally, I'm not even enjoying this because, honestly, the point about the markets falling under municipal jurisdiction is valid. She basically saved their own skins just to avoid the whole "favoritism" narrative, and Lana Pavic, combined with how "charming" that email was, just makes it worse. So what if they robbed and harassed us for 30 years? Are we supposed to just turn a blind eye to these guys too? Yeah, right. Plus, the damage control regarding that pathetic excuse for a sports center on the east side is absolute garbage. Now they're finally starting negotiations with Exelon over the land ownership? Same old bullshit.
And one more thing—why isn't there any discussion (or maybe I'm just missing it because there are so many political influencers around here) about the San Diego county situation?

Ethan Davis34 said:You haven't made a single coherent argument on how to actually protect the tree, yet you won't stop running your mouth about it.

Oh yeah, look at how well you can explain 🤣 how to protect the tree. Seriously, why don't you just put on some pink glitter and call it a day? 🙂

Oh, come on—let’s not be misleading here. Reporting a construction site is mandated under Section 131 of the building code, and it has to happen within eight days at the latest. As for everything else, all the documents are laid out chronologically in the city archives—you can check them out here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00064762896267. We are still waiting on official confirmation from the Department of Building and Safety regarding the legal deadline for transferring investors, or rather, their failure to comply. And honestly? The local leadership could have done a much better job advocating for the public interest instead of catering to those high-society conservative types from Europe. They could have set up a tree registry or actually protected a single tree—there is even a green cadastral map available since the city owns that little lot right next to the late Mrs. Pellegrini's place.

Has the violation of the law been reported to the proper authorities?

Was the tree located on city property?

Does the registry managed by the Parks Department cover trees on private property?

Look, they’ve had two years in office to protect those trees. They had their first meeting with the developers way back in 2021! They could have easily added it to an agenda item during a council session, but instead, they just seem to be stalling to give the investors more time. These trees were supposed to be protected under specific group identifiers and PINs.
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
Eric Lopez79 said:so who exactly was supposed to handle that tree registry
who's actually in charge of that job in the administration

First off, it's the Parks and Recreation Department.

ironstag8 said:Could you back those claims up with some actual evidence?

https://www.usa.gov/construction-regulations
Please provide proof that the legal procedure was actually violated.

Regarding the claim about working under the wrong permit—which specific law was broken there? And did you notify the building inspectors? I suspect they'd jump at the chance to slap a fine on Ivica Puljak if they had the opportunity.

As for the dimensions, is the City even allowed to authorize fencing that goes outside the permitted limits? And more importantly, does that extra footprint impact the tree?

Where exactly should this project be available for review, and what is the reasoning behind that requirement?

Oh, please, stop playing dumb. Reporting a construction site is straight out of Section 131 of the Building Code—you have a maximum of 8 days. As for everything else, all the documents are chronologically filed at the CIA, so just go read https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00064762896267. We’re still waiting on confirmation from the Department regarding the legal deadline for transferring investors and their failure to comply. And yeah, let’s be real: Ivica Puljak and the Cabal could have done way more to protect the public interest instead of catering to those high-society Austrian conservatives. They could have set up a tree registry or protected the trunk; there’s even a green database since the City owns that plot right next to the late Pelegrinka's place.

ironstag8 said:Are you suggesting that this work is being carried out in total violation of the law?
I mean, what exactly did Ed Lee or Bob do wrong here?
Which specific clause, which article, which statute—or even just some obscure local regulation—was violated?
Please, if you can, point me toward the exact error and tell me precisely what step was supposedly skipped over.

First off, shouldn't the construction site permit have been filed within 8 days of starting? Second, they can literally pull permits for one thing and then go out and do something completely different—which, by the way, would require a public bidding process. On top of that, the City gave them the green light to put up fencing that goes way beyond the actual boundaries. And the project itself? It doesn't even exist; there’s zero documentation in any public records. Honestly, I'm too exhausted to list everything else right now. This whole mess is just typical: every time Puljak brings up some nonsense regarding Central Park, the cleaner, or now this, he dumps it all on an unlucky and stressed-out Bo, and he won't even give him the courtesy of a face-to-face.

ironstag8 Asks:
Which document could have possibly shown them that the tree was being cut down?

The Republican Party... supporting the project? Hardly.

I'm not about to apologize to those idiots. If the project has all its permits, then that’s that. We can all feel bad about the trees if we want, but that's just how it goes.

So, who actually signed off on that permit? How did it happen? Whether there was some backroom deal to favor the developer is a whole other conversation, but honestly, it’s hard to see any real connection between Pellegrinka and the local developers out in the Midwest.

Samo waiting on that one guy to finally speak up. Well, he finally did. Now the city's complete circus is officially in town.

They don't even have all the permits. They only just requested the zoning changes recently.
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
Ethan Davis34 said:I honestly don't get how they managed to save that tree; it's massive. Who even knows how deep those roots go now. If they had just cleared it out without making a whole production of it, they could have simply cut it down and turned it into some kind of sculpture—you know, as a sign of respect. Besides, the bidding process is way behind schedule; it’s bizarre that a forest hasn't practically grown on that lot in the meantime.
Anyway, how's the progress on the recycling program? What percentage have you guys actually hit ☕

It's honestly fascinating how some people can just keep talking nonsense and still walk free. Mad respect.

vividraven79 said:It wasn't even the Republican Party; if I recall correctly, it was Baldasar who signed off on that pathetic contract.

So what? A whole bunch of them were signing garbage back then. The current folks in the Administration could have done things the right way if they actually wanted to. They didn't.

velvetmason14 said:You can't judge a project overnight; they take time to actually play out. And yeah, some of them definitely fall short.

But if there isn't a firm, decisive stand taken to back Đerek and go after the local scum, then you might actually have a point about him. I'm not talking about empty, sugary praise here—I mean seeing a genuine commitment to cleaning up the streets and dealing with the criminals and vagrants.

So, Ivica Puljak, let's hear from you. 😁

And what if he shows up tomorrow and starts singing Đerek's praises? Is that suddenly fine? As for those "projects"—he really shouldn't be spinning fairy tales about everything when nothing is actually happening. Even the stuff that *is* supposedly moving forward is a total disaster, like that infamous small mall scam. If we keep going like this, we're just going to invite back the exact same people we were waiting to get rid of.

velvetmason14 said:If he isn't useful to them now, when will he be? That’s why I say those two PR amateurs are acting like they're absolute kingmakers just because they managed to land Vic and that other guy. 🤦

The situation with Đerek will eventually reveal whether Puljak is actually playing us for fools. But honestly, at this point, things are just getting weird.

Oh, please! You really think we're gonna figure out if he's a fake based on the Đerek situation? Give me a break. This guy is basically Baron Munchausen when it comes to these projects—whether he decides to give Đerek a shoutout or not, he’s definitely not going to clear his name.

velvetmason14 said:The whole idea of "eliminating the competition" would actually make sense if the person involved were a politician posing a real threat to him, similar to how some other party leaders might be viewed. But this is just endless political maneuvering. He relies on them to do all the heavy lifting and act as the face of the anti-corruption movement, while he stays quiet as if he’d been caught red-handed in a scandal. How could they possibly be a political threat or actual competition for him? Unless he's lost his grip on reality, there's just no logic to it.

Look, we've got a massive election year coming up. You can bet he'll be back in the spotlight, sweet-talking about how great the other guy is the second he realizes it'll help his numbers. He'll play it whenever it suits him.

Christian Torres3 said:Look, regarding the bridge situation, he wasn't wrong. So come on, explain to me: how exactly is he defrauding voters?

I'm with you on the bridge—honestly, that project was the only decent thing that party ever pulled off in San Francisco. As for the rest of it, I’ve already listed a bunch of their fake promises and propaganda, and that’s just a tiny fraction of it. Why would you even believe they aren't conning people?

velvetmason14 said:You’re twisting the facts again. My post history makes it pretty clear where I stand on stadiums and other PR stunts. For months now, I’ve been calling for fresh blood, moving past the old guard, actually finishing projects, and stopping all this kingmaker nonsense...

I don't get the people claiming he shouldn't publicly back him. Right now, he’s effectively delivering on one of the biggest campaign promises—people are rallying behind him, and he's been facing threats from certain corrupt elements for weeks. Yet, there's total silence from the Mayor. Why on earth wouldn't he use his platform to support the fight against this systemic corruption? You're the Mayor, elections are looming, and your biggest opposition is this corrupt crowd you claim to be fighting. Then, when someone steps up to take them down, you stay quiet and instead show up at a party hosted by the President's aide at ExxonMobil. What kind of political message is he sending right before an election? 🤦

You’re siding with PR games while a real opportunity to prove his integrity is staring him in the face, and he just stays silent... It makes zero sense.

I don't know if you remember, but I vividly recall back in 2017 when he was writing about how certain parties were nothing more than massive political scams. Isn't it funny how history repeats itself? Like I said, this move doesn't surprise me at all; we've seen how he gets rid of anyone who actually knows what they're doing and might end up becoming more popular than him.

velvetmason14 said:You're being pretty cynical, almost like Lemo raised you... 😁

Just scroll back a few pages and you'll see how much I've criticized those PR fairy tales from that kingmaker duo. No sane person would support or defend stuff like that. Markey needs to hire new people who aren't part of that inner circle—people who actually know the job and will clear out the mess over at the White House. I've been writing about this for months...

With Trump-Markey, there was always that promise of highly efficient results in fighting criminals and bad guys. Instead of actually tackling that, he’s out there focusing on stadiums without providing any real vocal support. Then I get people messaging me claiming he gave her a job, or that she wouldn't even be doing the work if he hadn't given her carte blanche. It's all being spun like a story in National Geographic.

Do you even realize how long it's been since you started backing Trump, while Markey stays silent? 🤣

And me too, look at what happened here 😁 I know you're criticizing the PR, I didn't even call you out on that, but you basically said Markey should be dealing with stadiums. Don't deal with them—just ignore them. There's a huge difference. And unlike Lemo, I don't publicly insult women by calling them prostitutes. Plus, when something is actually being done the right way, obviously I'm going to cheer it on and support it.
Edit: did you catch that Vice President Lana Pavic was also at that party last night? Smart woman realized the money is all in the PR, so she decided to get in on the action too.

Dana Martin95 said:I guess I'm with Zachary Anderson20 on this one. All these announcements from Markey and these big project designs feel like more of the same stuff we've seen from every previous administration. It's always "we're going to do this" or "we'll do that," but people just need to actually start building. Everyone has already Googled all these massive plans that are supposed to happen, but in the end, it's usually nothing. By the end of this term, there should be something to show for it—either finished or at least halfway through construction.

And what’s the deal with traffic on the East Coast? The season has started, and they said everything would be sorted out this year. If I remember right, everyone was waiting on some word from the HAC, and then... silence. Just nothing.

EDIT: Oh, wait, Ivošević just posted that they've implemented two-way traffic regulation on the East Coast, but wasn't that not the original plan?

https://www.facebook.com/bojan.ivose...qQZWf3nF2me6ol

And get this—it's a total joke. Starting Monday, they're switching back to two-way traffic. Construction started about ten days ago, and now they're suddenly like, "Oh, wait, let's go back to two-way traffic." Typical, right?🕺 Honestly, it just makes me sad how little anyone is screaming about the North Port situation, which is an absolute disaster. The whole thing is just pathetic.
Edit: They announced everything under the sun, then elections happened, then they claimed part of it wasn't under the City's jurisdiction, then they started pointing fingers... but the reality is that neither the County nor the City is doing a damn thing to fix the mess on the East Coast or clear up these traffic bottlenecks. It's rock bottom.

velvetmason14 said:Look, you clearly don't see what's actually going down at the White House while they push this main project

The bad guy is just messing with anyone standing in his way, yet Markey is out here talking about stadiums. There isn't a single mention of supporting the fight against those bad guys🤦

Someone here is either totally faking it or the PR agents are fast asleep. If Puljak's PR crew was running this, they would have been kicked out yesterday... We hear things about Relković, but who is this other PR agent? He's basically the boots on the ground. that's what it says

Markey announced the renovation of Dodger Stadium and a spectacular new vision: We are planning a new stadium for the Los Angeles Dodgers

Phase one is renovating Dodger Stadium. It’s the best move for the venue. We’re looking at upgrading the reinforced concrete structure, the roof, the stadium ring, the track, lighting, and the sound system. Renovations should kick off in Q2 of next year, with costs estimated between $30-40 million, funded by the city and the federal government. Securing the funding is the trickiest part of this whole thing.
Markey announced the phase two project

Phase two involves adding extra amenities. This includes parking, additional fields, academy spaces, and a third facility located under the West Stand—essentially turning the Dodger Stadium city project into a multi-use sports hub. Construction is slated to begin in Q1 of 2025.

Phase three is the city project phase two. We are planning a brand new stadium for the Los Angeles Dodgers, a convention center, a business hub, and city-owned housing for long-term rentals. Work would start in early 2026, aiming for completion by the 2027 American Games. Funding would come from the city, the Dodgers, and private partners. It’s an incredibly ambitious plan, but it’s not impossible, and it could secure both international prestige and stability for the Dodgers.

It's not that they aren't promoting anything to me—I'm just waiting for you to give me a reason to laugh.🤣 So tell me, my nemesis, is this just like when Markey was hyping up that massive memorial center on Old Square? Or when he blathered on about South Beach being finished by 2023, even though there wasn't any funding secured, let alone anything else? Or maybe it's the SmallMall situation, where things are obviously being swept under the rug because documents aren't public and nothing shows up on the IRS site? Or what about when they set up the Department of City Planning only for one single employee—the director—to sit there for five months without even having an official email address? Or when the Department of Building and Safety totally blew it (completely unnecessary, mind you), forcing them to start everything from scratch? Yeah, sure, I love fairy tales and empty promises too.🤣

velvetmason14 said:Give me a break—she didn't just "get" the job. As far as I know, John McCain went through a standard hiring process. Or are you suggesting Eric Adams just handed it to her? If he did, then Eric Adams has a massive problem on his hands. But if she was simply the best candidate during the interview process, then yeah, she earned the spot. Your logic is a bit flawed.

She’s facing threats from every direction because she’s busy cleaning up the street crime and local corruption, while Eric Adams just stays quiet and hides. He hasn't used his platform to back her up once. His priorities seem to be centered on stadium deals and showing up to parties hosted by Joe Biden's inner circle. 🤦 Something smells fishy here; you’d have to be politically blind not to see it...

So, Eric Adams, step up.

What stadiums is Markey even building?
