The way Ed Garvey is staying quiet about Dutton is getting weird.

Seriously, she’s being threatened by some local thug, then Barker is storming into her office, and Garvey is just sitting there doing nothing while he focuses on building stadiums. Only Ives posted something about it, but honestly, it felt more like he was just trying to bash a guy for standing up for women. And even that ended up being a total mess. 🤦

Either Garvey is totally checked out or something else is going on here... I bet Gamora is jumping for joy right now. 😁

Garvey, give us something here...

Oh, I will! I'm gonna jump for joy, but this time I'm totally siding with Maji! Here’s how the story goes: first, Bojan charges in and attacks Maji over some petty stuff, and now he's playing the "protector" role when Boraska shows up. I wouldn't be surprised if our own security guy Bojan randomly walks up and attacks Maji near Peskarija. This time, Pcelica told him to get out of her office and she'll call him when she needs someone to fix her computer.🤣 That's how you handle it, Maji! As for Puljak, I'm not even surprised—he can't stand it when anyone becomes more popular than him or his wife. Don't believe me? Just ask Pranic or Dalija about recent events. 🍿

I love how Đerek always puts that Republican trash in their place. She really calls them out...

Now the Republican crowd and Lemo will 100% spin the narrative to claim they handled the Fish Market themselves. 😂 It'll be easy for Lako Puljko to resist this kind of opposition. That is, if PR Lolek and Bolek aren't sleeping the winter sleep, so Puljko can actually make an announcement... Đerek is doing the work of a master kingmaker.

UPDATE ON THE FISH MARKET LEASE: Noštrom has consent until July, after which a public tender will be announced!

Those idiots from the Republican Party would have been better off staying quiet; now they've just made themselves look even worse...
- I certainly welcome the intense interest in this topic from the party that used to rule, during whose term the very concept of a public tender was practically unknown. Unfortunately, the number of these newly discovered irregularities grows every day, and they will be presented to both the public and the judicial institutions. It is heartening to see that in this relatively short period since I became department head, such significant progress has been made in understanding the public good—even prompting a reaction from the Republican Party after media reports surfaced regarding the leasing of the Fish Market to the Noštrom restaurant without a tender.

Look, it’s not like we’re all brainwashed zombies. We can tell when things are being done wrong, and we definitely know when things are actually getting done right. It was great that she stepped up and put this mess in order—that’s exactly how it should be, and that's how we want it.

There you go! It’s not even that hard, yet this is the level we're settling for. Thanks, Maja!

velvetmason14 said:Wait, is that the same Oparin hack, Krešo Budiša? The one who acts like a big-shot entrepreneur just like that squatter Budimir? He actually pulled in 25,000 bucks acting as an Oparin consultant and serving as Ljutićev’s little errand boy over at the University of Bušta. 🙏

Everything Krešimir Budiša touches seems to turn to gold—it looks like he’s pulling strings from both the Province and the University of Bušta. $8.75It’s looking like more than just a coincidence regarding the Mayor. He’s out there smiling while his business interests on Marjan are thriving—is this really just a random stroke of luck, or are we looking at a blatant conflict of interest?

God help me from these Republican visionaries. You’ve got thirty-year-olds who can barely hold it together, let alone manage a budget, yet they act like they have all the answers. 🤣

And there you go—17 likes already. comment From that little squatter Budimir, who says...
Ivica Budimir
Ivica Budimir Majooooo

That absolute wreck of a person is dreaming big with Djerek—she completely tore them apart. 🤣
The space falls under Director Gašparević’s jurisdiction, yet these two clowns are just itching to take it out on Djerek, even though she has absolutely nothing to do with this. 🤦

And honestly, there’s no denying that Budisa is our shining star. If I remember right, we’re around the same age, but since he’s clearly the smart one, he knows exactly which party to pick, while I was busy fighting with them 🤣 regardless. Still, you have to point out that most of the projects Puljak loves to brag about were actually started by Budisa and Oparin. Like this recent Smart City stuff and the digitalization push. It’s honestly hilarious watching peacock Puljak strutting around, repeating his "it's either the Republican Party or America" line, when most of his projects are actually the leftovers from those same Republicans. Seriously, where is the shame? Anyway, I’m not even defending Budimir here—I find that "Daddy made it, so everyone else should too" mindset fascinating—and hey, they *did* build things once. But we’ve had new laws and regulations for a long damn time now, and people are unrealistically ignoring them (looking at you, Budimir). Plus, watching our talented, versatile, and brilliant Budisa glide his way to success makes it hard not to compare him to today's news, where a party Vice President who swears on her honesty somehow transforms into a supposedly "experienced" PR specialist and breezes into a new job without breaking a sweat. Where have we seen this pattern before? 🤣 And hey, if I watch my hairdresser highlight my hair for decades, maybe I can call myself a hairstylist tomorrow, right? 🙄

Here’s an example of something I just read that is completely out of line. Some fat—pardon me, some twelfth-rate journalist on Facebook (don't get mad at him <3)—is claiming that a reporter (he didn't name names, but we all know he's talking about Ivica Markovica from the local paper) wrote an obituary for Buljubasic (locals know exactly who that guy was). To make matters worse, the writer concluded by saying that a company under Buljin Ownership sued Bojan. I went to find the article, but it’s already gone. I mean, an obituary is meant for a first grader, but I refuse to believe that fat guy is lying; it’s just bottom-of-the-barrel journalism from the local rags. Look, I know I love to trash them too, but this story isn't even relevant to our local politics—it just shows how quickly people (and journalists included) jump to conclusions.

Fresh out of the oven...

I wonder what drives someone like Tomić or that unstable guy Prvan to call a woman a chicken or even compare her to Adolf Hitler, especially when she’s just doing her job with massive public support 🤔 If they weren't protecting their own interests, it wouldn't be such an obvious partisan stronghold for the Republican Party. You have to ask yourself where people like Prkić from exPametno fit into that ecosystem. It's worth thinking about.

And look at how everyone is ganging up on Maya. All these groups have united, yet Maya and the local leadership are effectively brushing them off.

For someone as "righteous" as you, it seems fine to attack journalists simply for being critical of big business interests down South. Give me a break...
Yeah, involving Davor Bernardić Matijević was definitely part of it. 😉

Man, you really know how to get under my skin. 🙏 Listen, Megatroll is literally paid to churn out these kinds of articles and manipulate the masses. I could play around with Milan Kundera’s ideas and say 'Megatroll is the opium of the people' (I know killing Karl Marx is the classic move, but I prefer Kundera). Besides, what exactly is the lie in these headlines? Is it the price of her work—which is actually accurate? Or is it a personal statement regarding manipulation that she has every right to officially respond to and explain her side of the story (instead of just posting random Facebook statuses every five minutes 🙂)? Come on! In that headline about the official entity, it's actually just a quote from someone mentioned in the text, and it's obvious that Maya has every right to issue a formal denial through Public Relations or one of those many PR Centers. She's acting like a lady, not some Facebook troll. What? You don't like the tone or the word choice? Grow up, man, along with all these ego-trippers. It's honestly amazing how people just swallow everything whole without having any clue what Maya actually does—all the good stuff she's achieved, and even the spots where she tripped up. People just shout about "driving out the riff-raff" and other brainwashed slogans. Maybe PR is the new opium for the masses now 🤣. And yeah, I get it, you lean toward conspiracy theories where your heroes are always these poor little victims and everyone else is the villain. You're so deep into that you can't even see straight, so there's no point trying to convince you. But hey, enlighten us—where exactly is this exPametno nest located? You're just talking nonsense, though I appreciate it because I could use a good laugh, since there are some great people and activists in that group. Oh, so now I'm Democratic Party? Fine, whatever. Just please, don't bring up the Spider again; I haven't got the stomach for the DP today.

Go grab your glasses and actually read the headlines about who that mogul reported. I'll buy you a new pair if you lost yours.
MAYA HAS 'CROSSED THE LINE' Reports the editor-in-chief of the San Francisco Daily to the Press Councilon behalf of the local media association.
So, what, journalists have zero oversight? They can write whatever they want, make up stories like they're in some lawless wasteland, and she just doesn't care if you believe them or not? 🤣 Do you even read this nonsense you're spewing? 🙏

The editor isn't with the Republican Party, where on earth did you get that fake news? That would be impossible...

You've really gotten tangled up in your own nonsense, and here I was thinking you were deep and had a great sense of humor.

Velvet, seriously, don't get worked up on me. Please. Let's take baby steps here. Look, Mary, all this jumping around trying to pin me to the Republican Party, then to certain pundits, then back to Lemo... it's honestly tragicomic. Come on, man, go find someone real to catch in a lie, and then we can all celebrate. Seriously, explain to me how journalists have nobody to hold them accountable? Journalists get sued every single day and win or lose those cases. They have the Press Council and other oversight bodies for a reason. Sure, anyone can write whatever they want. You're posting junk here constantly, and half of it would be grounds for a lawsuit if this weren't an anonymous forum. It's the same for journalists; even I could post something on Facebook under my real name and get sued. For journalists, it's their profession, and they really shouldn't be acting like idiots by intentionally walking into lawsuits just to lose them. Maya didn't file a lawsuit against the editor and the reporter herself—if she'd remember to tell us why, that is. Plus, Maya writes on her famous Facebook page about which articles pissed her off and who signed them. Lemo is the editor-in-chief, so she's the one who has to defend her reputation. We'll just have to see if this whole mess was worth it. In the end, there wasn't any lying or defamation, otherwise Maya would've sued immediately. The fact that you love blindly worshipping everything so much actually worries me a little 🤣 because not everything said by the "Golden Girl" is 100% truth, and as for those other reporters, I don't know, but people like Tomic and Pervan wrote critical pieces about her, and hey, they have every right to. It's called a column. We live in a democracy, for crying out loud. I truly hope she manages to keep everything running perfectly during her term, because I actually want to enjoy living in this city. But what she's shown a few times now is, oh well, some serious selectivity in her decision-making.

Alright, here’s a little bit of inside info on why the fish market renovation hasn't kicked off yet—even though it absolutely should have by now. Turns out, the conservatives are playing games and trying to act like they know better. If you want the full scoop, go ahead and dig deeper. And hey, our "good and honest" friend Buzancic ❤️ is doing great, isn't he? At least Laura stuck it to them and fed her party buddies. Long live the rebels!

Richard Lopez said:Pcelica? Is that some kind of San Diego dry humor?

Let Maya lie through her teeth if she wants. In a civilized country, you wouldn't have the Secretary and the President defaming someone like this. It was pretty blatant how they publicly accused her of being a self-promoter instead of a whistleblower. Pathetic and transparent.
And look at you, doing the exact same thing right now 😉

Oh, really? I am? Oh yeah? Where exactly? Where did I ever say the woman isn't a whistleblower or even comment on her Sabo/Federal Housing Administration situation? Or the whole mess with the President, or that joke of a guy Adams? You're lost, buddy—I can help you find your way, but you're going nowhere. I focus on what she does in San Francisco. And obviously, she has the right to political self-promotion since she chose this job. What pisses me off is when she makes snap decisions without thinking, or keeps messing around with nonsense just to lecture everyone from her high horse. Basically, when that self-promotion goes too far and when, clearly (like Bo), she has to listen and pick and choose who to follow. So, if you actually have the brainpower, do me a favor: stop coming at me with these fake accusations and half-baked analyses. Make a real argument for your case first, then maybe we can talk. Capiche?

velvetmason14 said:Gomorrah, you're overthinking this again...

So, it doesn't bother you one bit when the notorious Lapača Lemo is constantly peddling fake news about Derek, while this woman is just honestly doing her job and getting praised by everyone—except the bottom feeders. It doesn't bother you that Lapača Lemo is a known Republican and seems to be a regular client of certain journalistic circles because she's always involved in unethical media stunts? I haven't seen Derek report anyone except for Lapača Lemo and those few cronies over at the local paper that the whole country laughs at. This is starting to sound a lot like Franić's posts, and you're only slightly more refined than her.

Everything is fine with you, as long as it's not a new, relatively trivial case compared to the lion's share of work Derek does—work that nobody in San Diego or New York City has ever done quite like this.🤔 You seem to take issue with almost everything that's actually correct, yet nothing bothers you about the crooks who robbed the city blind.

The Germans have a great word for maliciousness, but you're far too deep into this for that...

Oh Mike, I love it when you get romantic. Especially when you try to analyze me—my god, I don't even know where you pull these conclusions from. It feels like you're just putting words in my mouth. And seriously, chill out with calling women names all the time. Once is fine, but after that, it's just tacky. Jerry Brown isn't going to like that. First off, regarding this recent thing, Pcelica mainly clashed with a reporter, which then forced editor Lemo's hand (though isn't she a Republican too?) apparently because the woman had a death in the family. And then they just kept bickering. Okay, now tell me exactly where journalists are pumping out fake news about Derek. From what I know about journalism, when a reporter puts their actual name on a piece, they are obligated to present facts and label them correctly; their personal take on a situation is precisely that—an opinion. So, I'm curious: what exactly was "fake," and if it actually was, why wasn't there a public apology? Just because some reporters don't like Derek doesn't mean they can't have an opinion. They signed their names, and we can choose to believe them or not. As for the whining that it only seems to bother me when the current administration is involved—no shit, Sherlock?! 🤣 Who else am I supposed to comment on if not the ones holding almost absolute power? Even if others come in, God willing, they'll be under the microscope too.

Christian Torres3 said:
...come on, look at the pattern here. This woman just goes after reporters on Facebook. Seriously? Use Facebook for that now?!

Just my two cents: if the media actually treated her fairly, she wouldn't feel the need to post those rants on Facebook in the first place.

I disagree. Almost all media outlets have that "groupie" phase. For instance, on Index or Telegram, you won't find a single critique of Jerry Brown, even if he (presumably) decides to perform a ritual in the middle of the Waterfront. During the recent madness, I checked out those outlets like Daily or 7something—those are just the jokes run by Bujanac—and those local media types operate differently. They have that right. But I haven't seen anyone smear Pcelica in the actual news stories (not counting Tom's or Pervan's columns) with Maya. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Where did you find that info about Leona's training? I searched the city websites and found nothing. That doesn't necessarily mean it was done without reason.

If she learned how to manage hectares while they were at it, then... 🤣

What "drama"? We aren't even talking about drama here—we're talking about the random people Pcelica stepped on (look, I'll admit I'm being bipolar and cheering when she gets aggressive), but damn it, some of these people actually have enough ground to take this to court. I'm not going to list specific cases right now; if this all goes public, I'll comment then. And what about Leona? She’s in Greece right now, and before that, she was somewhere else too. Or is the destination the other way around? Hold on, let me post a photo. Here: https://postimg.cc/MM6VVBKC Now you try explaining to me what exactly is "transparent" about any of this compared to the mess with Kerum/Democratic Party/Republican Party? It’s all poorly written, and nobody explains what kind of hellish "technical documentation development" they’re even doing! What is that? For what? And as for the staff's education, it's barely worth mentioning because the whole thing looks disgusting. Secondly, what is she actually learning, and how is that supposed to benefit us? Obviously, we have a right to know, and a truly transparent and symmetrical renaissance would provide those answers. But no, everything is just half-assed.

velvetmason14 said:Here’s another example: you criticize Derek because he tells the truth on Facebook, yet you share your own truths on Facebook too, which somehow made you persona non grata in the Midwest. You see the similarities, yet you’re the one judging her. It doesn't look good; someone might think you're shallow or a hypocrite who just talks to talk. But I know you aren't that. You have depth—just not an overwhelming amount, if I'm reading you right.

See how we naturally circled back to my original point in this whole San Diego saga...

Thanks a lot, Milena B. But in typical PR-spin fashion, you tried to sneak some subtle determinants into your quasi-linear logic. Let me break it down: I’m a private citizen. When I felt like rambling on Facebook—and only when I felt like it—I did so as a resident of this city. I’ve never held a public office, so I don't represent anyone. On the flip side, I wasn't writing a literary thesis on my personal feelings about fake competitions; I was pointing out things that were already public knowledge and asking people if it was even worth it. Now, Derek is a public official. As such, she’s supposed to act professionally, and communicating with the press is literally part of her job. For any civilized person, that happens through the official channels in the Midwest, via the media. Sure, Derek has every right to post on Facebook, but when those posts become a tool to settle scores with journalists—and again, describing her work publicly is part of her role—then it becomes a bad caricature, Milena. Also, instead of bothering to provide a little explanation about those "partially halted competitions" or maybe commenting on the situation with Peskorija, Derek decided to mock reporters on Facebook just to make that the headline and shift focus away from our talented Lana Parker and this whole mess with the MO at Peskorija. Can you see the difference? And one more thing: go ahead and re-read that nonsense they love to play with—she pushes her version of the story, and the journalists push theirs. Honestly, I couldn't care less about their little battles over what the "truth" is or who put a comma in the wrong place. Just give us what belongs to us, Maya—you have plenty of bright, beautiful moments, so stop playing games here with me and my Malac.

Of course they don't surprise me; I expect nothing less from them. Halfway across the country, including some departments in the Midwest, I’m basically persona non grata because I went on Facebook and called them out by their full names, asking if it was really worth selling out your soul for a job, and later, selling out the public good just to help out your buddies. Like, can they even look at themselves in the mirror? I already knew Jerry Brown was a fake, but man, they got absolutely wrecked. And yeah, I'm a little disappointed too.

Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind, so help me out here—after she finished her PhD, produced and hosted those shows that nobody actually watched, wrote books, and claimed she was "volunteering" and whatnot—when exactly, and in what capacity, has she actually been practicing this PR? To my favorite adversary: I was waiting for you to freeze over just so we could have a little debate. 🙂 Mili, let’s take this step by step: 1. Could you please provide some actual arguments showing where I was being dishonest or irrational in my critique of the local administration today? Please, enlighten us. 🙂 2. I’m definitely not part of that inner circle. 🙂 Plus, I’ve criticized that guy so much (with logic, mind you) that it would be pretty weird if I actually knew him personally or were out here supporting his wife. What do you think, Mili? 3. I think the editorial choice regarding that headline about the prostitute was a massive blunder on their part—almost unforgivable. However, our little "local hero" loves to play the victim, attacking journalists who write things she doesn't like, claiming they're just chasing Facebook clout. It doesn't matter what individual reporters wrote about her or previous administrations. We’re supposed to be the honest ones, right? Even when we're being biased? This constant, half-educated, hysterical whining on social media about being a victim of the San Francisco press (they recently targeted Zivan at CNN too) is ridiculous, unprofessional, and honestly, just sad. 4. Now, for the point you're waiting for. First off, I wouldn't bet a dime on whether the current mayor would be a good leader. I wouldn't bet on anyone. But what I do know is that he collaborates with various wise and thoughtful people. He isn't afraid to work with others, he doesn't obsess over PR, and he doesn't try to manipulate his way through the US Congress or Brussels, which I respect. Get it? Is that hard to follow? Finally, let me burst your bubble: obsessing over Facebook likes and analyzing comments from what are mostly just bot accounts is the kind of behavior that makes professionals walk away. And yeah, those big corporate trolls aren't just looking for "where did the money go?"—they aren't selling out for ad revenue. But the other guys? They are pure manipulation. If life were a meme about corporate greed, we’d all be living in Hawaii. 🤣

This is a bit too complex for my simple mind. But this one caught my eye—it's not exactly setting a high bar for intelligence. 😁

🙂 Microsoft was my go-to when they first launched, but their stuff is boring now—always the same old formula, and honestly, they feel more like an ad agency. I'm not buying it. I'm not even sure they're from San Francisco because they clearly don't get our sharper sense of humor; they're too busy catering to those superficial types. Oh, and by the way, since I lived abroad for over 10 years, do you even know what the Smithsonian Institution actually does today? Like, what is their actual purpose? Sometimes her arguments remind me of the more reasonable side of Franić's circle. You wouldn't think a Prkić supporter and the Franić dynasty would have so much in common...

But why get hung up on Facebook? Where should Đerek go to voice her part—in the Free Press alongside Plenković's piece of work, Lemo? Forget about Facebook; she needs to worry about how Đerek tears through those trashy concepts. She doesn't even need the Free Press. 😉
Imagine if Prkić were the mayor or held any real power. Would that Hanza-man actually shut down the Free Press racket and bring in people like Đerek to dismantle that whole mess?

What do you think, Mili? 3. I lost respect for Lemo because of that headline about the prostitute, and honestly, that’s a nearly unforgivable fail for her. However, our little Pcelica keeps calling out journalists who, when they write things she doesn't like, then run off to cry on Facebook. It doesn't matter what individual journalists wrote or called out regarding previous administrations. We're the honest ones, right, even when we're being shady?! And no, this constant, semi-literate, hysterical whining on Facebook about being a victim of San Francisco journalists (they recently targeted Zivan from the Dalmatian Portal too) is ridiculous and unprofessional. Actually, it's just pathetic. 4. Let's get to what you're waiting for. First, I wouldn't bet my life that Prkić would be a good Mayor. I wouldn't bet on anyone. Got it? Is that hard? Can you follow? And finally, let me burst your bubble—counting some random Facebook likes and obsessively analyzing comments that are mostly just mindless bots is something for people who belong in white lab coats. And yeah, Megatroll isn't some spunky crew asking "Where's the money and Caca?"—because as far as I know, they didn't sell out for ad revenue. Megatroll definitely did, my dear. It's a transparent mega-manipulation. If life were a Megatroll meme, we'd all be living in Hawaii. 🤣

EDIT: Good grief, I'm not done!! First off, I wasn't obsessing over FB; I'm just following the trail wherever it leads. Second, I already asked you once—do you really think Hanza would collapse without those city funds amounting to millions? Go ahead, Google which department of Hanza those funds were intended for, and you'll see—quote—that companies like Radio California and Free Hanza organize certain events and the money is for that. Let's go further: go check the City websites to see how much your beloved Mayor increased subsidies for marketing and nonsense. You want to? Go ahead, please, come tell us. You know how it goes—when it's Christmas time and everyone is just being boring and mindless everywhere, that's when parties start organizing events and inviting journalists. Petranovic used to show up regularly on the old "Smart" show, and now he's all over this "Center" stuff. For an "unbiased" journalist, that's... honestly, it's pretty gross. You feel me? Also, the guy seriously needs to polish his grammar; he gets on my nerves every single time I read his stuff. But overall, he's not a bad dude. Swing by Chrome for a coffee sometime, he'll be there, it's always a good laugh away from all the politics.

They signed these toxic contracts at the expense of the City.

By dragging their feet on this, the City is already bleeding cash, and just delaying the inevitable is only going to cost us way more in the long run...

Hell yeah! But honestly, let's see how those lawsuits actually play out. From what I've seen, some of them don't even look baseless at all. As far as I know, the City hasn't had this many lawsuits in ages; if they win 90% of them, frankly, I'll be happy for all of us and for Maji. On the flip side, it would be nice if her rules applied to everyone equally—but hey, why bother? Nobody mentions that on Facebook, and nobody has the time anyway since everyone is just hyped up for fights and vendettas. And yeah, Long mentioned it on the previous page, and Bojan went after Maja just for sending a congratulatory note to his buddy. Oh, and I should probably mention that Bojan's little girl travels quite nicely, apparently justified under "Staff training services abroad" for a cool €3,500. 😍 Look, I like Leona, even if I'll find it hard to forgive those acres she took, but this senseless drama is just too much. It’s coming from both the Mayor and his "favorite" officials alike. 🎉
