Inkospor Fifth Avenue 412
It’s super easy to find, and honestly, the station is practically right there next to the grocery store.
If you're taking the bus, it’s actually the very first stop right after you pass the police station.

Wait, I think I might have missed something here... or maybe I'm just overthinking it? Anyway! I was just sitting here thinking about how much fun it is to dive into these discussions, even if things get a little chaotic sometimes! I guess I just wanted to jump in and say hi to everyone! It’s been such a wild ride lately, hasn't it? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there's always something new to talk about! I really hope everyone is having an absolutely fantastic day! Just my two cents, I suppose! Haha! kaže:
Alright, I think this should be enough to get me started for now... Tomorrow, I’m heading out to grab some whey—I'm still debating between Inkospor, EAS, or maybe Pro.Nutrition—and I'll pick up those Glucose tablets 500 g at CVS too. My plan is to just mix it all together with about half a liter of water right after my workout! I'll definitely keep you guys posted on how things are progressing! ☕

Honestly, if you ask me, I’d definitely go with Inkospor. It's probably my top pick!

Since you mentioned you’d "keep me posted on how things are coming along," just don't forget to stick to that priority list, okay? I mean, supplements should definitely be sitting way down at number four!

So, to avoid lugging around all those bulky tubs, I think I’ll just toss two scoops of Whey Isolate and maybe two or three of those Glucose tablets 500 into one of those little clear plastic baggies... honestly, if anyone sees me, I'm probably gonna look like I'm out here dealing heroin or something! lol 😂

Honestly, you should just grab one of those high-quality screw-top shakers—you know, the sturdy ones that actually stay sealed—and then just whip up your shake right at home immediately. It makes such a difference!

Why am I seeing zero results? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Sandra Clark29 said:Hey everyone!
I joined a gym about six weeks ago because I’m sitting at 170 lbs even though I’m 5'6". At the gym, I spend about 50 minutes on the stepper, the bike, or the treadmill, and then maybe 20 minutes on the machines doing light weights with high reps—exactly what my trainer suggested. As for food, I try to stick to around 1,500 calories a day. If I really crave something, I’ll treat myself, but I’m never face-planting into a whole bag of chips or a giant chocolate bar; maybe just one square of chocolate once a week, and that’s it. So, what’s the deal? I honestly don't get why there are ZERO visible results!! Like, the scale hasn't budged an inch, and nothing feels looser in my clothes either—my measurements haven't changed at all! I know six weeks isn't a massive amount of time, but I feel like I should see at least a tiny bit of progress. My plan was to go consistently through next summer (I go three times a week), but now I’m dragging myself there because it feels totally pointless. I seriously don't eat much; sometimes I actually want to cry when I see my coworkers devouring pizzas for lunch while I’m out here stretching a single little piece of whole wheat bread (like, 50 grams!) and a banana and an apple over an eight-hour workday. And you guessed it—all those gluttons are thinner than me. I don't overeat at home, and I don't even eat until I'm full, if anything. I have the willpower and I really want to get myself in shape, but man... sometimes I just feel so hopeless. I’d love to hear your stories—did it feel this way for everyone when they first started?

Yeah.
It definitely felt that way for me.
It took me about 6 or 7 years to climb from 155 lbs up to where I am now, around 205 lbs.
During those first few months when I (randomly) stumbled upon some articles by a pro cyclist about nutrition, back when I was just learning the basics, things moved really, really slowly too.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Does anyone have any advice... Thanks!

Just focus on fixing those habits,
And try to pick and mix more of the types of foods that have been recommended here more often.
Everything else will just fall into place naturally.

The habits you're working on right now are long-term things.
They're for life.
Make sure they become second nature.

And whenever you hit a moment where you're like, "Ugh, why am I even doing this?", just think about where you want to be (and where you CAN be!) in two or three years... and beyond.

coastaldrifter9 said:So, just a silly little question: what if I just take glucose after my workout instead of whey protein? ☕
Everyone’s been going crazy talking about what happens if you skip the glucose and just stick to the whey.

Well, the answer is actually pretty simple once you get how each part of the shake actually works.

Glucose after training—it refills those glycogen (carb) stores. Your muscles will feel way better, like they're actually ready to go for the next day.
I know this first-hand from an American MMA fighter I know who was messing around with this stuff (partly because he didn't know better back then, and partly just experimenting) and saw how much slower his body felt when he didn't hit those carbs after a session, whether it was through food or a shake. Honestly, you should just try it out for yourself.

Protein—that’s for muscle growth and repair.
I mean, look, the difference between taking stuff and not taking anything at all isn't some huge deal, right? Like, every single little tip you hear here is just one tiny nudge toward progress—it's all just pieces of the bigger puzzle. It’s always better to make sure those pieces are in place if you can help it. But, I guess how much you pay attention to those tiny details is really up to you.
If you can't manage it, don't sweat it too much, but when it comes to what we're discussing here, it's literally like building a palace brick by brick.

Jesse Martinez23 said:So, I picked up some INKOSPOR protein over in Springfield, and I was wondering if they're actually any good?
They only had Optimum Nutrition available as an alternative, so I grabbed those since you guys cleared out the Optimum Nutrition stock.
Please don't tell me I messed up again, or that this is even worse than the last stuff.

Well, you hit the nail on the head there.
INKOSPOR is top-tier stuff, seriously highly regarded.
Most people consider it a class above Gold's Gym or MuscleTech products, and like, two levels above MuscleTech or MusclePharm.

Personally, I've been sipping on it for years now.

I picked up some MusclePharm Whey. In my shaker, I usually toss in two scoops of whey and maybe a little bit less grape sugar..

What do you guys think? Is that a good setup?🙄

That's alright... but I think you're looking at the priority list a little backwards.
If you want to do this right, the order should be -

1. Real Food
2. Training
3. Rest

4. Supplements

5. Girls

Walter Edwards said:To’s the thing, it’s not even fully laid out in the rules... I mean, online betting itself isn't explicitly banned or anything like that, right? It’s more like there are restrictions on sending money overseas just to chase some kind of profit or something along those lines... I guess it's more about how the funds move, maybe?

By the way, I’m pretty sure the IRS only starts breathing down your neck once you receive more than $3,000 from overseas. Or maybe that's just how it works? I guess I know that for a fact, though... :P

I mean, I don't know, but honestly? This whole law is just... it's a mess. It’s so incredibly vague and just poorly written from top to bottom. Like, seriously, they didn't even think this through, I guess. It feels totally unfinished.
It’s like they’re trying to pull off this impossible balancing act where they don't actually want to ban anything *and* they don't want to allow anything either... at the exact same time. I mean, seriously? It just feels totally contradictory, you know? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it's such a weird vibe! 😁
I mean, honestly? The whole mechanism is basically pointless at this stage. There aren't even any actual penalties being enforced, the core idea is just super muddy, and if you ask me, the law itself is totally out of line with both European Union standards and general legal norms. It just doesn't add up, I guess!

It’s kind of like that one guy who tries to enforce rules about opening bank accounts overseas... you know, the one that absolutely nobody actually follows because, well, it just doesn't make any sense at all, I guess. Hmmm.

So, how'd it all go? How was everything? I'm dying to know!
Did you actually tell them where the deposit came from before just saying "bye-bye"? I mean, I guess maybe you should have mentioned that? :P

Bryan Scott4 said:That amount is honestly pretty wild to me... I mean, I doubt I’ll ever see a single payout that big in my entire life! But hey, maybe I'm just being pessimistic, haha. Anyway, quick question though—does the bank usually take its own cut or charge any extra fees on top of everything?

It’ll probably take about a buck from you, regardless of how much you're putting down, I guess.

Hey, just take a breath for a second...

I mean, they seriously shouldn't be able to just freeze your funds like that without any warning. It feels totally wrong.
Maybe you should reach out and demand a real explanation from them? I really believe there's still a way for you to get your payout if you push back.

Sarah Edwards38 said:Well, good morning to everyone—the friendly folks and the trolls lurking in the shadows—to my welcome thread.

Alright, let's break this down.

I really hope I can help mediate some issues here. Maybe, just maybe, I can find a way to make both—or even all—sides feel satisfied. My goal is to work together with everyone else to try and make this place actually useful. Honestly, I hadn't really thought about doing this until others started telling me they thought I was capable of handling it, which gave me the push I needed. I think that answers what coppermarlin13 was asking. If not, well, sorry about that!

Also, just to clear the air, I am definitely not a co-owner of this forum. I think coppermarlin13 might have jumped to the wrong conclusion there, because that's just not the case. You don't necessarily have to wish me luck, but hey, don't wish me bad luck either! I guess I'll just try not to ask for too much.

Thanks, everyone. 🙂

I have to say, this is such a lovely post.

Smart, 👍

Personally, I find that when I mix Incospor with milk (and leave out the glucose), it doesn't get all foamy either.

To make sure my post-workout shake actually settles down, I usually just whip it up before I head to the gym and carry it with me.

stormyheron4 said:I finally figured out my own little trick for mixing protein without getting those annoying clumps.

So, first, I just pour the protein powder into a glass, and then I add just a tiny splash of milk. I stir it really well until all the milk is absorbed... then I add another little bit of milk and stir again. I just keep doing that over and over until it turns into this smooth, thick paste, kind of like dough. Once I have that paste, I start adding more milk bit by bit, stirring as I go, until it turns into a thick liquid. By then, you can add the rest of the milk without any chance of those gross little lumps forming!

There's also a Plan B—just buy a shaker bottle. 😁

It’s not really about "earning" it, I guess... you just have to make sure you're placing bets with a big enough amount.
You should probably give the bonus Terms & Conditions a quick read first.

George Nguyen3 said:So, I went down to Chase today and opened a foreign currency account, and I immediately tossed in about $45... since it's a Euro account, that's roughly 40 Euros (though the Euro is kind of climbing lately)...

I wanted to ask—once my actual card shows up in a few days (maybe in about 10?), should I register it through PayPal? I've been reading through the forums and other sites saying it’s better to move money from the card to PayPal first and then over to the sportsbook, but those posts are at least a year old now. I'm wondering what the current vibe is... should I just deposit directly with the card or stick with the PayPal route? 😕

Honestly, it's probably better to just deposit straight from your card to the sportsbook.

You'll need to have scans of your card and your ID ready.
Just make sure you follow the instructions really closely when you get to that part.

FanDuel usually does a 50 for 50 deal in the US, and BetMGM has a 30 for 30 one.

In the morning, maybe you could do oats, some low-fat milk, and a scoop of whey.
But when you're following the PWM program, it’s strictly water.

Slow down there, buddy. Just slow down.
I think you might have applied that mantra to the wrong situation here. 😁

Where on earth did you see "PWM" mentioned in electricheron9's post?

Betty Smith said:Oh, my bad, I forgot I was talking to someone in NYC! But seriously, why is whey supposedly so great? Like, why is it considered the absolute best?

Well, there isn't really one specific reason that would apply differently to you specifically.

The thing is, whey is usually recommended for a different reason altogether.
See, "whey" just refers to where the protein comes from—you've also got egg-milk blends, straight dairy (like casein, though that's not always super easy to find on its own), all sorts of mixed formulas with different ratios, etc. Basically, whey is just whey protein.

Most athletes stick to whey because it digests incredibly fast. That's why people usually chug it right after a workout (often paired with some glucose). It’s probably the fastest way to get exactly what your body needs at that exact moment. In those moments, you really want something that hits your system quickly.

During the rest of the day, it doesn't really matter much (assuming you're eating a decent diet), but right after training, whey is definitely a better call than those milk-egg proteins. So, that's really why people say it's the "best." I guess "most convenient" might actually be a better way to put it.

electricheron9 said:So I grabbed the banana flavor and tossed in 3 scoops... but wait, is only 30ml of water really enough? That feels way too small to me!

I’d say go with about 1 to 1.5 cups of water or milk.
And honestly, I think a shaker bottle is a much better bet than using a blender.
You can pick up a shaker at basically any GNC or local supplement shop.

electricheron9 said:SO HERE'S THE DEAL (please don't laugh at me!) I picked up some protein powder the other day—and yeah, I'm totally new to this stuff—and everyone keeps telling me that you're supposed to get a scoop inside the tub. Well, mine didn't have one, and now I have no clue how many grams that scoop is actually supposed to be... the bag says 3 scoops with 300ml of water or milk (I just used water), so I did exactly that, tossed it in my shaker, and... man, it was awful. It tasted so bad I almost threw up. So, does anyone know how big that scoop usually is?!

Well, that doesn't really change the math on the weight.
Protein comes in all sorts of flavors, so maybe just pick one you actually like!
And honestly, try mixing it with milk instead; it'll probably taste way better.

Just so you know, those 3 big tablespoons of protein you used? That's roughly 40-50 grams.

Taylor Gonzalez79 said:Stipe, I’ve got a question for you—or honestly, anyone else who might know. It looks like my Visa Electron card over at Bank of America is blocked for online betting. I actually swung by the branch a few days ago to see what was up, but the line was just way too long, so I gave up. Is it possible to get that card unblocked, and what’s the deal with the process? Like, can I maybe just handle it over the phone?

Well, every single card has its own specific policy, I guess.

With JPMorgan Chase, if they block you (and man, they definitely do that sometimes), you can usually get it sorted out over the phone.
JPMorgan Chase tends to be pretty suspicious at first whenever there are a couple of international transactions (mostly because they don't bother checking things like expekt.com 😁 ), but after a quick call—or sometimes they even call you—they unblock it and you're good to go.
Another annoying thing about JPMorgan Chase is this bad habit they have, which is super irritating (and pricey) where they constantly swap currencies from dollars back to euros and then back again.

Our local bettors rarely ever touch Bank of America. For questions about unblocking stuff, you probably have a toll-free number on the card itself or on their website. Also, at Bank of America, they might (totally unnecessarily and logically weird) give you a hard time saying it has to go through a "foreign currency account" instead of a "checking account."
I've actually had really good luck with those toll-free numbers before. Of course, the golden rule is always to not poke the bear where you shouldn't. 😁 Because sometimes you'll get three different answers from three different people at three different desks, and then the fourth person—who happens to be the shift manager—gives you a fourth version, and you're just left wondering what's real.
And it's always a smart move to ask if anyone else has dealt with that specific issue. For example, when you're doing an MB verification for a debit (or credit) card, the first amount you see in your online banking—the one MB pulled—might actually be wrong. It takes a few days for that amount to adjust by a few cents, and then you get the actual amount you need to enter for verification. But honestly, most of the customer support folks at the bank or MB probably won't know that, but the regular bettors definitely do.

Around here, Bank of America debit cards are pretty popular and they do their job really well, so I would totally recommend those to you. You don't have to deal with all that "blocking" nonsense, you have a dedicated phone line for card services, and transactions just work.

George Nguyen3 said:Man, I'm not even 13, I'm actually 21... just unemployed and still a student, so I don't have a card yet. My parents aren't working either, so they don't have any of those "popular" ones either... though I did read somewhere that using an MB account might be best for people in my spot since payouts go through a foreign currency account and then get deposited... hmm, I guess I'm not quite sure how that part works actually

Well, since you're a student, you should definitely be able to open a foreign currency account.
And you could always deposit funds into an MB Visa Electron, which you can grab over at Bank of America.
The easiest way to handle it is probably just going through the PayPal website once you've verified your card with MB.

Also, anyone else with an MB account should be able to just transfer the amount straight to your MB account.
