Not an option. I tried heading straight to my OB-GYN's clinic recently, but they turned me away. It used to be simpler than this, but not anymore. Now you have to go through your primary care physician first—basically, you're stuck using whichever lab they've partnered with.

You paid her for the shipping. That money belongs to her. In exchange, she sent you items that never arrived. Therefore, the postal service will refund the declared value to her, which she then passes on to you. She still keeps the original amount you sent her, so technically, nobody loses out.

I don't know the exact specs, but from what I've seen—they can be pretty huge. 😁 I've sent massive gift boxes before filled with toys, clothes, shoes, books, you name it. Those boxes were easily three feet long and maybe a foot and a half wide, and I sent them for $15 without any issues. I don't think there's an official size limit. Just keep in mind that with bigger boxes, they usually insist on using heavy-duty tape because they're a pain to handle otherwise. But if you head down to the main USPS branch in New York, the staff there will usually just tape it up for you without charging extra. 😉👍

In Chicago, it’s alright, though I have to rely on Blue Cross Blue Shield (unfortunately, I can't swing $300-$133 for private checkups).

Just noticed a little chip in one of my teeth. There’s a tiny hole now, and since a filling is already holding the thing together, I'm getting a bit worried. I have an amazing dentist back in San Diego, but she’s currently away on vacation. Does anyone have a recommendation for a dentist in Washington, D.C., who isn't out of office right now? I’m assuming I'll probably need to see someone private, so if you could suggest someone who won't completely fleece me, that would be great. 😢

Yeah, I dealt with that nonsense today too. I show up with a box—definitely larger than the minimum size—fill out all the paperwork, and then the lady at the counter tries to charge me like $30 or something.
As if that’s enough for a shipment. What happens when a 40-pound box drops on it? And the packaging itself—I ran out of the heavy-duty brown paper, so I used some thinner white wrap, which isn't my first time doing it, but still... isn't that risky? Packages have to travel, and it's pouring rain outside. What if the whole thing gets soaked and the address just smears away? *splat-splat-gone*. It shouldn't be treated as certified mail. Think about it. I told her straight up that I've done this plenty of times, the box is sturdy enough, and it'll be fine—just send it as a regular package. Suddenly, she had no problem doing it that way.

Anyway, ladies, don't let them push you around.

It sounds pretty practical. Given it lasts five years, the price tag is actually manageable. Plus, it only releases one type of hormone, unlike pills which usually pack two (though I’m no expert on that). The only real "issue" is fertility—I don't have kids, and I don't plan on having any, at least not anytime soon. Regardless, I'll run it by my OB-GYN.

I usually just gather them up and leave them by the bins so the seniors in my neighborhood don't have to dig through the trash looking for them. It's not like I'd get much out of it anyway—maybe 3-$1.25 a month. I'm not really a big juice drinker. It's just sad seeing some people practically rely on finding stuff like that to get by.
