Same thought here. Now she can just send them back by plane, and if they need to be picked up, they can deal with the border chaos themselves. The craziest part is that nobody in charge is even asking that question. Obviously, you can't call out the big shots—they only screw over the little guys.

Man, things got absolutely wild at the station in Dobova! You had these refugees basically fighting tooth and nail just to grab a seat on the buses—total chaos. It was pretty obvious the police and even the National Guard were losing their grip on the situation, but thankfully they finally managed to chill everyone out. A few people actually walked away with injuries. Meanwhile, over at the transit hub near the river, they rolled in another train packed with 1,200 more refugees, and those folks who were stuck back in Jesenica? They finally got sent back toward Ljubljana.

It’s funny how the Americans just end up doing exactly what the Mexicans did first, then the Mexicans, then the Canadians, and then us too....

I don't want to make extra work for the mods, so I'll keep it blunt: Blue Paw is specifically for rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals, like Corduroy mentioned earlier, and this post doesn't fit that at all. The user was notified, and they didn't complain.

Look, sorry, but I think this is tied directly to why this thread even exists. At the end of the day, we should be looking out for the animal first. That's the whole point of the Blue Paw mission statement. If someone's trying to help, we shouldn't get so hung up on technicalities. This guy was just trying to raise money for a cat; yeah, technically it has an owner, but the owner is broke and the cat is suffering. Plus, the author wanted to find homes for some chinchillas. If we shut down threads over nitpicking, the animals are the ones who pay the price—and that’s exactly what happened. The author told me the cat died, and it was a nightmare.

I'm calling for some humanity here and asking to loosen the rules. It's pretty common to raise funds for animals even if they aren't "abandoned," and I personally love helping out whenever I can. I truly love that spots like this exist online. 🙂

If this were just one of those usual closed topics, I wouldn't care, but basic compassion and keeping living things alive have to come before red tape.

They definitely are more honest. When my mom lived in the country where this money came from, it was totally normal for her to grab milk, newspapers, and groceries left right on the doorstep after work. How much do you think would stay put here? 🙄 Or just run a test: try sending $100, or God forbid $333 even using registered mail, and see if it actually makes it. If you send stuff via regular mail, you're basically praying. I've been buying and selling stuff online forever, so I know exactly how many girls lose packages or get hit with opened and looted envelopes—even the registered ones here in the States and it’s always a total mess when using regular mail because things just vanish, which is why I never touch it.
Sure, mail carriers everywhere can slip up or act shady, but when you get an envelope that's clearly been tampered with, or only half the contents show up, you know someone had their hands in it.

The thing is, the guy sealed everything perfectly, used that orange return receipt that I signed, and he’s out there swearing up and down that this kind of thing is impossible. Honestly, I'm inclined to believe him. I really hope there's some way to prove only part of the shipment arrived based on the weight. He's got the cardboard packaging, so hopefully he can start a claim.

Regarding value-declared letters from abroad, I heard they don't really like sending cash in envelopes over there. You know anything about that?

The sender told me there's zero chance it was swiped on their end because they know their damn procedures inside out. And about that other thing... yeah, true, that's why I'm stuck right now. I wasn't the one sending it—I always use registered mail—but it clearly got snatched in transit. The envelope was ripped open and stuff is missing that was definitely there before. It’s still marked as delivered, which just proves whoever grabbed it is a total thief. Just because someone used a risky shipping method doesn't give some crook a free pass to steal. Stop trying to pin the blame on the sender.

Found out two days ago that some lowlife swiped $200 from me at the post office, and now there’s zero trace of the cash 😠 😠 Honestly, it's pathetic how people have the nerve. Imagine stealing from someone who actually needs that money for something vital, like cancer meds 😠 If they're such tough guys, maybe they should try robbing some billionaire instead.
