Hey, does anyone know how the claims process works for international shipping? I've got a package that's been stuck in transit forever, and since it hasn't bounced back to me yet, I'm gonna have to deal with this mess soon.

No clue... maybe some Bulgarians made it further in a qualifier once or something, so it's like... "it's the Bulgarians, not us." 😁
Ali honestly, the whole Bulgarian thing sounds way more badass. 😁 Like, saying "the Canadians are coming" just doesn't hit the same, and saying "the Mexicans are coming" is pointless since everyone expects them to show up anyway. 🤷

Go Bugarin, Kawasaki 3P. Killer title. 😁

Daniel Perez6 said:It’s pretty obvious they’d reconnect, considering she spent the following year poking around his laptop whenever she felt like it, which is how she figured out what he was working on at the newspaper.
That reunion isn't some random fluke; in a way, they practically set the whole chain of events in motion themselves. 🤷

Sure, there are a few plot holes and moments where things feel a bit forced, but certain threads are actually woven together quite well. 😳

Snooping? Please. Behind this whole human trafficking mess, the real story is actually about her. Like, how... yeah, no. 🙄

Finished the third one last night. Even though they messed with the book version quite a bit—including how some characters actually look—it’s decent, but the whole trilogy just feels fake to me. 🤷 Michael and Elizabeth just happen to cross paths, and then lo and behold, they end up together again because some reporter at his office decides to dig into a trafficking case that somehow turns into this wild saga about Elizabeth, 😕 not to mention that ending of the second movie which was peak nonsense.

The only saving grace for this entire series is Elizabeth herself. But like I said on Literature, she’s got those crazy traits that make her worth watching.

Overall? The Millennium Trilogy is just massive amounts of unbelievable bullshit, but the actress playing Elizabeth is killer. She totally deserves an Oscar.

Daniel Perez6 said:Spoiler:

The book explains it away by saying it was more of a shallow pit and the ground was damp, so she didn't drown instantly and could have potentially dug herself out—but with head wounds and injuries to her thigh? Hell no! :/
Yeah, I totally missed that detail. Maybe it’s because it was daytime? It makes zero sense for the sensors to react to everything since there are animals wandering around—they'd be "beeping" constantly. I don't know...

I'm with you on all of this. I know how they explain the soil situation, but still... it's sketchy as hell, basically impossible. And maybe what you said about the sensors is actually the logic there.

Donna Fowler3 said:The second movie totally killed my vibe for the third one. Since the first film was actually amazing, this sequel felt like such a massive letdown once it hit its peak
SPOILER when she literally dug herself out of her own grave (wait, whose grave?) SPOILER

I was thinking about diving into the books too... does the second book take such a huge dive in quality compared to the first one?

I didn't read the first one, but I basically spat on the second book over on the literature forums specifically because of that spoiler you mentioned. Also, how on earth did she walk through the yard the second time without triggering a motion sensor?

The movie was alright. I didn't read the first book in The Hunger Games series, just the others, so I know Stieg Larsson loves to clutter things up with a bunch of side characters—which they actually cut from the film, so it moves fast. Honestly, I was shocked when I saw people saying it's 2.5 hours long; I thought it was barely over an hour 😲
It felt a little spoiled for me since I finished the rest of the trilogy, and the killer from the first book gets mentioned at the end of the third one, so I already knew who 🙂 was. Plus, the whole thing with the Bible was super obvious. But overall? Decent flick. A nice break from those typical American action movies that I absolutely can't stand.

Chloe Gray86 said:Honestly, I’m obsessed with Azinović🙂 He saved my wisdom tooth when everyone else was just trying to rip it out... we worked on it for like 2 months straight. I was at his office every single week and ended up dropping about $300....

I finally stopped being terrified of the dentist🙂 plus using a laser to clear cavities🙂 was the easiest thing ever... seriously, best experience of my life... huge props to him👍

For real, this guy has insane tech and saves teeth that are basically gone🙏 and this whole story from someone who clearly wasn't even there—claiming some doc doesn't know which tooth hurts😕 and somehow missed a bunch of decay even with X-rays and probes?🤷 Sounds totally sketchy to me.

Rebecca Phillips57 said:A close buddy of mine went to see Azinović, and this guy tells him everything looks perfect and there's zero issues, even though my friend was in actual pain (couldn't pin down the exact spot). So, Azinović goes ahead and kills a tooth—with poison, no less, and had to do it twice because the "tooth wouldn't cooperate." But guess what? The pain stayed exactly the same. We did X-rays, exams, the whole nine yards, tons of visits... only for another dentist to find out it was a completely different tooth all along! Fixing that other one solved everything, so now we’re wondering if Azinović should have even touched the first one. Plus, the guy has a massive amount of work to do; about 10 teeth needed intervention, from small fillings to some being so trashed they needed root canals. The starting state was definitely NOT "all good."

Personally—look, I get that mistakes happen when someone just says "it hurts somewhere," but a dentist shouldn't be claiming "everything is fine" while another pro is losing their mind over how much obvious work needs doing. A rotten tooth isn't "fine," no matter how you slice it. 😉
BTW, he didn't say "I'm going to pull the nerve"—that's how people talk—but once it turned out he used poison, my friend lost it. He didn't want stuff done without permission, especially with that "I don't know what it is, let's just try this" vibe. Of course he'd want a second or third opinion instead of just having a tooth killed, especially since he was left with a bitter taste in his mouth, making us think that tooth might have been perfectly healthy. 😢

So yeah, I've got a massive grudge against the name Azinović. I really hope you guys actually stay "all good" and don't end up dealing with any "surprises."

Seriously, 😲 he did a great job on one of my teeth a year ago that needed rebuilding, and he helped my brother with two as well (shoutout to him if he remembers us👋). I also hope everything stays perfect. He was awesome for us, and even a patient in the waiting room praised him, saying during a 6-month implant process, they only felt pain for like 10 minutes. Can you believe that?

Sarah Lewis23 said:Hey! I urgently need a dentist in downtown NYC or somewhere nearby who takes Medicare... private clinics are fine too, as long as they don't charge an arm and a leg.

Eto, way back in my earlier posts, I recommended Dr. Ivan Azinović. He's a private guy, but his prices are totally fair. Honestly, he blew me away because his work is top-tier and he isn't some greedy shark.

Look, if anyone in NYC needs a recommendation, I’ve got two private docs for you: gynecologist Vesna Harni over in Brooklyn and dentist Ivan Azinović near the bus station in the industrial district. Prices are solid, they actually know what they're doing, and they aren't jerks.
For both of them 👍

granitefalcon26 said:Look, I’m definitely not being objective here. If it were her, I’d probably come up with a hundred excuses just to shift all the blame onto myself.🙄

Yeah, I know that feeling😢 once you start seeing her flaws—like when you realize some other girl could actually be there for you during the rough patches while this one isn't, then you know you're finally moving on. You guys long gone?
granitefalcon26 said:The biggest issue is just the lack of communication. On top of that, I’m dealing with my own anxiety and panic attacks. I struggle with agoraphobia and social anxiety too, which makes everything so much harder to manage. I constantly worry about what people will think if I have a panic attack in public. She has such a huge family, and here I am struggling with agoraphobia.😲
It’s a tough combination to navigate. Eventually, we stopped going out almost entirely because she was always terrified that I’d have a panic attack. 😢

Based on that, she doesn't sound like much of an angel... if you actually love someone, you stick by them through the thick and thin.
ruggedfalcon30 said:Look, the reason I even brought this up was because I honestly expected you all to dig a bit deeper and actually engage with the topic...😬
I know exactly what my deal is and why I fall into this trap of self-sabotage—and trust me, I’m not going to bore everyone with the granular details—but essentially, I am fighting an uphill battle against my own nature because the alternative is ending up alone, bitter, and completely broken...
Now, my massive problem right now is the crushing realization that I absolutely blew it and destroyed a relationship with a woman I truly loved just because I lost my damn mind and pushed her away whenever she tried to get close to me... For instance, I ran into her in downtown Chicago once and we chatted for a bit, then I started walking toward the bus stop and ended up boarding the wrong bus entirely😬just because seeing her made my brain go completely numb... I've moved past that specific moment and I'm fine with it, but my fear is, when am I going to screw up again by jumping on the wrong bus because of some other person?! When am I ever going to feel that spark again, where just the thought of someone else actually brings a genuine smile back to my face...?

Or maybe she's out there floating too, just thinking you don't care 😢
Walter Peterson said:Does the number of people who hurt them actually matter? Is their scar somehow deeper simply because they choose to sabotage themselves?

Look, from what I've seen, all the girls I know were wrecked by just one guy. And why does it matter? Because that one guy was the only person they actually loved, so I wanted to see if it played out the same way for everyone else.
Life isn't fair... someone who didn't deserve your love trashes you, so now you go around trashing everyone else..
copperfox22 said:I posted on the sabotage thread thinking I wasn't a saboteur. But maybe I'm just not the obvious type—more like a closeted or half-way one.
It’s not even hard for me to try. Going down that path isn't the issue. It gets messy a little later 🤷...assuming anything actually happens in the first place, since, you know, there are plenty of wrong people out there 🤷

I don't want to get too personal, but my situation is a bit more complicated than most because of how many different things are going on. This whole thing started recently after some fresh experiences, not even actual relationships. That big relationship didn't leave me missing them, but it definitely left some mental scars behind.

Yeah, I get it. 😢 I was waiting to see what everyone else had to say before jumping in (didn't want to 🙂) because, honestly, it seems like all the people I think are self-sabotaging have always ended up hurting just one specific person, so I really wanted to hear your take on that.
granitefalcon26 said:As for me, I tend to force myself into relationships, and they always end up being total disasters where I end up hurting the girl.😢

Man, looks like she was the one that got you. Try helping yourself by remembering that anyone who doesn't see what's in you is just a complete moron.😍
Walter Peterson said:Bad experiences teach us caution, plain and simple. This behavior you described is your defense mechanism; it serves its purpose, but you have to loosen the grip slightly. You need to be willing to open up if you feel someone is worth it, while still maintaining a healthy level of skepticism. Being cold and guarded at all times leads nowhere. One must demonstrate a willingness to give someone a chance... in my experience, people respond much better when approached with positivity and reasonable expectations. It gives even those who might have been problematic in the past a shot at being better. If they mess up after you've shown them kindness—then you simply move on.

Your mind is acting out of pure fear of disappointment. However, you cannot allow that fear to dictate the entirety of your life. It is far worse to suffer through the anticipation of a potential disaster than to actually deal with the reality if it happens.

Perhaps being attracted to the wrong people is itself a defense mechanism: with them, you are certain from the outset that disappointment is coming. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy...

A significant portion of romantic struggles, for both men and women, boils down to flawed selection criteria. People are naturally drawn to those who are exciting, elusive, and unpredictable... since when was anyone ever truly thrilled by the "nice guy"?🙂

As for me, I refuse to let the weight of the past limit, mark, hinder, or sabotage my future. There is no way it will stand in the way of finding the Right One; I won't permit it.🙂

🙏 Props to 👍. Honestly, don't let yourself lose something huge just because you misread someone in the past. If someone hurt you, they don't deserve even a second of your headspace.
I've been wondering about this—I actually asked over on the Samosabotage thread in Lonely Hearts—do you guys engage in Samosabotage when you actually really, really like someone? Or do you just bail right at the start because you simply don't care?
And is this something caused by one specific person, or has it happened with multiple people?
