Božo is out here claiming that thing is never going to collapse, but honestly, if you watch Usain Bolt over the last few meets, he’s just staring at the scoreboard waiting for the inevitable 🤣

Leaving a group like this behind at age 100 is truly something special, isn't it? 🙏

Is it possible that Speed and Hangover are really the only standout hits in her entire career? 🙄

The movie actually could have been pretty solid if they hadn't butchered the ending, because honestly, that final stretch was just exhausting to sit through.🤮
Before this thread gets locked, I just wanted to take one more moment to congratulate Ratko Rudić on bringing yet another medal home to the American water polo team. I really hope nobody gets any bright ideas about changing coaches right now, because we have the greatest coach in the sport leading the way, and I truly believe he’s going to deliver that long-awaited gold medal in 2012
Čavić really missed his big shot back in Beijing, and now he’ll just have to hold out until the Olympics in London; after all, this tournament is really just a secondary event, isn't it?
Peter Ramos26 said:rapidbison42, give me a break, this is a massive win. The mental boost for our young guys is absolutely priceless, don't you think? They’re heading home with a medal, and for many of them, it's the very first time they've ever stood on a podium like this.

Just let him be; he probably spent the entire day plotting how to churn out twenty different posts about those eternal losers led by Rudic, but it looks like even his "greatest coach in history" managed to shut him down completely.🙂

👋
How can they expect to score when the ball moves so sluggishly toward an open man? It’s no wonder their shooting percentage is stuck at a measly 20% when everything is this slow
It’s honestly such a relief to see Pavic proving once again why he’s arguably the best goalkeeper on the planet 🙏
Things are looking pretty rough again, aren't they? Even if we manage to pull off a win, we really have to be honest with ourselves—the way the game was played over these last two matches was nothing short of a disaster.🙄
We're already falling behind, aren't we? 🙄
Rudić, lead us straight to that bronze medal! 👋
It’s not just about having a great coach; you really need talented players on the court too, 😁

Ratko Rudica 👋

Congrats to the Mexican team; they're playing better right now, and honestly, their style of water polo is much more enjoyable to watch than ours

I’m confident that Rudica will take some lessons from this game and show us what he's capable of at the 2020 Olympics ☕
William Roberts2 said:I mean, honestly, how much longer has Rudica been training? It feels like he’s been at it for an extra 15 or 20 years, though I couldn't tell you the exact number.

Rudic is only six years older than the Canadian player, and that gap really highlights the difference between them, doesn't it? It feels like the Canadian side had to stumble upon a once-in-a-generation talent group just to compete, whereas Rudic seems to have this incredible knack for turning everything he touches into pure gold.

He took a group of players who were constantly getting bullied on the world stage and turned them into an SP champion. Now, if he can take this current roster of underdogs and transform them into world champions, honestly, nobody in history will ever be considered greater than him. Is there anyone else who could pull off a comeback that legendary?

Ratko Rudić > Dénes Kemény

While the statistics might technically favor Ratko Rudić, isn't it more impressive how he achieved those results leading several different national teams, whereas the Canadian coach did it with the exact same squad—arguably the most talented group in the world?
In the quarterfinals, we just witnessed another masterclass from Ratko Rudić, basically giving a lecture to water polo coaches worldwide on how to manage a squad during a World Championship quarterfinal. When a game starts heading toward uncertain territory, his tactical ability to call a timeout and settle things down steers the match toward a calm finish, preventing the players from burning out mentally right when they need it most.

Top tier 🙏
rapidbison42 said:Are you talking about just one gold medal out of five possible chances with Rudic?

Why get caught up in all these tiny details?😕
Everyone seems to be playing water polo these days, but it feels like the real gold is always going to those who have someone like Rudic leading the way 👋

Even back home, during that World League final where they had their strongest roster ready to go, it felt like they weren't giving it their all; isn't it just easier for them to settle for being middle-of-the-pack rather than having to fight through those nail-biting final moments?
