Look, don't get bent out of shape, but what exactly makes you the authority on who’s a fraud and who isn't around here? Honestly, those questions of yours feel pretty pointless—just weirdly abstract things that don't really follow any logic. It’s like asking how many goals are scored in a basketball game; I mean, why even ask that when there's a perfectly good reason they call them baskets instead of goals? You always seem to have this condescending vibe going on with everyone else, too. Like, what did we do to turn Formula 1 into some kind of Disneyland while you stayed so untouched?

And they're right.

The way you want things done is just like DRS in Formula 1—you can only use it in specific spots under very specific conditions, which is just straight-up stupid.

Just hit me up in a DM if you're too terrified of the censors to say it here.

Look, I'm not really looking for a fight here, but I'm with you on this one, because honestly, what you're saying doesn't just seem more logical, it feels like the only thing that actually makes sense.🤷

Vettel's out there making moves to put Grosjean a lap down.
Could you just ask Charlie to throw a blue flag his way?

Looks like Vettel is still stuck behind Grosjean.
Maybe if you asked Charlie to explain it to him in French, it might actually sink in.

Talk about peak arrogance. 🤣
So, basically Grosjean needed at least a lap or two to actually notice the blue flag, and now Vettel is being arrogant about it?🤣

I honestly can't stop wondering what would've happened if they had actually pulled that move on Alonso.😍
I guess I'd say it's probably something like this...

🤣

Man, what does Alonso have to do with any of this? Why on earth would you pick him out of a field of 22 drivers? Is it just because he's the GOAT and you're using him as the gold standard?
Honestly, you could probably write a whole damn book just based on how much Vettel's outbursts drive me crazy.☕

It’s funny watching how much Hamilton overthinks everything, like he's already paranoid about a mechanical failure happening. Meanwhile, Vettel is just being his usual self—super tense and acting way too entitled whenever he's lapping someone.🙄

stormybadger8 said:It’s pretty obvious Red Bull has the edge when Vettel is outperforming Alonso... anything else would just feel wrong😍

But honestly, Ferrari isn't bad at all; they're basically neck-and-neck with Red Bull right now...
The reality is Red Bull has the superior aerodynamics and a better chassis overall, though Ferrari's got the stronger engine for the moment😁...

We'll see how things shake out by the end... they'll probably blow them out of the water eventually, but that's not quite the case yet
Though you have to remember this was Vettel's first race, and his first time ever pulling off a full race distance in one go...

As far as the actual race goes, the beginning was the most telling part.
When everyone was running the exact same strategy on identical tires😉
For about the first ten laps
Ferrari and Red Bull were identical in pace... both trailing Lewis Hamilton by roughly a second per lap, and during that stretch, everyone was pushing hard... everyone, even Lewis...

Now, that lap 9 or 10 from Alonso was a bit weird; I can't tell if he just messed up—like he went wide or braked too hard and cooked his tires—or if Ferrari is just absolutely eating through rubber🤷...
It’s possible the tire deg is the issue and the Bear and Red Bull made a mistake by following him into the pits... because Red Bull's pace hasn't even been climbing much after those longer stints

I don't feel like digging through old threads, but weren't you saying just last month that Alonso is still the best?🤷

Ferrari looked faster during the morning session, so we were all basically neck and neck, but I guess the truth finally caught up with us—Red Bull Racing is just ahead. They say the truth comes out slow, but it always finds its way to the surface eventually.☕

Sebastian Vettel isn't even in the running, while Alonso is more than 10 seconds behind him😂😂😂

And looking at the standings, it seems Magnussen is ahead of Sebastian Vettel too🤣

stormybadger8 said:Yeah, sure, let's go ahead and compare Kimi Räikkönen's Ferrari—which was struggling with obvious car issues just yesterday and then got absolutely wrecked in a collision during the race today while falling way behind...
If you're really going to play the comparison game, why not look at Ricciardo's laps at the end of the race? At this point, Red Bull Racing isn't even driving; they're basically standing still. 😬

So yeah, Sebastian Vettel is pulling off actual miracles😲 driving a car that can barely manage to move from the starting grid to the podium. 😲🤣🤣🤣
And don't even get me started on Nico Hulkenberg; that guy is operating on a completely different planet. 🙏
Man, Perez hasn't even managed to complete a single lap in an hour and a half, which just shows how painfully slow the Force India actually is. 😲

Honestly, you're just twisting the truth to fit your own narrative.🤣

Look, the Ferrari is faster than the Red Bull Racing car—not by much, but still a tiny bit better...

If I'm living in a fantasy land, you're straight up in a fairy tale. 🤷
The first link pretty much proves that Fernando Alonso is way ahead of Kimi Räikkönen, and Sebastian Vettel is slightly better than Ricciardo, which basically means Alonso is doing magic tricks with that Ferrari. Unless, of course, you think Ricciardo is actually better than Kimi. 🤷
Second link: since when does top speed even matter for how fast a car actually is? Like, what was Red Bull Racing's top speed in previous seasons anyway?
Third link: Alonso ended the race on soft tires, so obviously he clocked a faster lap. Meanwhile, Ferrari was pushing it to the absolute limit while Sebastian Vettel didn't even need to bother.
Bottom line: if it’s still not clicking for you, maybe go ask the neighbor the fox to explain it one more time. 😉

It’s basically the same deal as Daniel Ricciardo being on equal footing with Vettel.🤣

Joshua Scott said:Lewis Hamilton was incredible, showing that true championship form; being nearly 20 seconds ahead of someone in the exact same car is just insane driving, and honestly, he probably could've pulled an even bigger gap if he wanted to. It looks like this car is basically tailor-made for him since it’s so easy on the tires and fuel while still being lightning fast, which fits his style perfectly.

Sebastian Vettel was decent, though nothing to write home about. Little Daniel Ricciardo seems like he's got massive potential, though—just a super quick driver, reminding me of how he used to be back in Formula 1 or whatever that junior series was called.

Fernando Alonso is nothing special, probably just the most overrated guy on the grid at this point. I wonder how much faster he would've been than Kimi Raikkonen if he hadn't dealt with that punctured tire and that ridiculous time loss at the start, especially since the Ferrari is so slow on the straights that even with DRS, they can't pass the backmarkers.

Fixed my typos☕

jadeseal7 said:It's honestly wild, I feel for the guy... he’s clearly got the talent, but Red Bull has this knack for just completely wasting it.

I'm not saying they're actively sabotaging him, but it always seems to be him and Mark Webber getting the short end of the stick, which makes you wonder why they don't pour as much effort into his car as they do into Sebastian Vettel's.

jadeseal7 said:If we weren't talking about Kimi Raikkonen, I’d probably blame the drivers, but since we are, all I can say is that Ferrari is just a mess. They blew it again this year and haven't moved the needle at all.

That's exactly my point here.😉
I honestly feel like their biggest headache is the engine, because the car itself actually looks pretty decent, kind of like how things are playing out with Red Bull Racing.

Raymond Anderson4 said:I don't know, I really can't get behind the idea that Red Bull Racing had a more dominant car last year than what we're seeing from Mercedes-Benz right now.
Looks like Mercedes-Benz has the edge here. Lewis Hamilton was basically just feathering the throttle from lap 20 onwards; honestly, if he’d pushed any harder, he probably would've cooked the whole thing.

Look, if Rosberg doesn't pull away right after the first lap, he’s basically toast—unless half the field's engines decide to blow up, there's just no way he's grabbing that win.

Sebastian Vettel has been pulling that exact same move since the third lap last year.☕

I don't recall ever saying I'd agree with you. Honestly, I’m pretty stoked with how Alonso’s race went—couldn't have asked for more.🤷
And if you want a real look at Ferrari's current state, just watch Räikkönen struggling through those Caterham and Lotus days. Seriously, aside from Alonso, just look at where the other car running a Ferrari engine ended up. That engine is easily Ferrari's biggest handicap.🙄

graniteharbor502 said:So, let's look at qualifying. How much did Vettel trail Hamilton—who’s arguably one of the fastest guys on the planet right now when it comes to single-lap pace—given he was in a slower car? We're talking about a full second gap on this track. Isn't that worth some respect? And where does Ricciardo's time stack up against Vettel's?
Then look at the race itself. After losing a spot at the start, Vettel manages to slice straight back through the field in an identical car. Who else is pulling stuff like that off these days?
After that, Vettel slowly starts chipping away at his teammate while simultaneously breathing down Rosberg's neck, all while driving a car that's clearly nowhere near the level of the Mercedes-Benz. If that doesn't prove what a talent he is, I don't know what will. 🤷
You can also see how the rest of the Renault-powered cars finished in the standings.

Honestly, it feels like we might be watching two different races here.🤷
If you're going to quote my previous post, just answer me this: who’s the better driver, Kimi Räikkönen or Ricciardo?
Look at Vettel's race: he loses a spot to Ricciardo at the start, then easily claws it back and settles in behind Rosberg. Ricciardo and Alonso are stuck about 2-3 seconds behind Vettel for pretty much the whole race, until Ricciardo runs into trouble... Meanwhile, Kimi—supposedly a top-tier driver—gets caught in a collision (behind Alonso) and spends the entire race dragging along at the back.
Vettel put in a brilliant performance, while Ricciardo spent the whole time glued to his bumper (with some questionable tire management going on). 🤷 Kimi, a guy considered elite, is stuck at the tail end. Mercedes-Benz is dominating (not quite like Red Bull was last year), Red Bull is second, and then everyone else follows. Ferrari definitely isn't outperforming McLaren or Williams. It's just that Alonso is better.☕

Walter Cox6 said:Sebastian Vettel just shut everyone up once again. A podium finish with a car that wasn't even ready to race.

Lewis Hamilton. 👋

He proved he’s got it, especially since Ricciardo was breathing down his neck for almost the entire race. It's not like the car was just "okay"—it was actually the second fastest on the grid, so seeing him take third behind the better driver at Red Bull isn't some miracle, it's just the reality of how things shook out.☕
Fernando Alonso just absolutely laid into Hulk🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
