The outage actually kicked in around 3:00 PM last Thursday (maybe even a bit earlier), yet the company responsible for fixing this mess can't get to it until Tuesday morning at 8:00. That’s five whole days between reporting the failure and getting an actual fix. Does that sound reasonable to anyone else? Honestly, I spent about ten minutes explaining to them exactly how much of a disaster this is—I must have mentioned my mother at least 785 times just to vent the frustration.

Hey everyone. First off, just to set the scene—I'm currently living out in Sweden. I’ve been using this old Zyxel AMG 1001 modem, hooked up via a standard phone line. Everything was running smoothly for about 18 months until yesterday, when—poof—everything just died right in the middle of me watching something on my Android box. Now, the DSL light on the modem won't even blink. Because I rely on the Wi-Fi, I have that modem bridged to a Netgear router, but whenever I log into the router's web interface, it just tells me there's no internet connection. I've already tried a hard restart, swapped in a spare Zyxel modem, and even tried a different phone cable, but no luck. Is there anything else left for me to troubleshoot here, or is this clearly an issue on the ISP's end?

I’m already losing my mind here. At first, I thought the firewall was acting up, but nope—that wasn't it. It worked fine yesterday, then suddenly stopped today. I’ve reinstalled the drivers more times than I care to admit. I even went into Device Manager to disable the wireless USB adapter just to toggle it back on; it gave me an error, so I toggled it again, and—presto!—it suddenly started working. God knows how long this little dance is going to last.
And I’m still waiting for my internet service to actually be installed. My options are either running a 20-meter cable from the outlet to my PC or relying on a wireless connection. Based on this headache, the wireless route doesn't seem particularly reliable in my setup.
The stick is an ASUS USB-AC51, if that helps anyone.
Should I try hunting down some newer drivers? The box says it supports up to Windows 8.1, but I noticed there might be versions available for Windows 10.

Edit: It's dead again. I had turned off my phone's mobile hotspot because I'm on a limited data plan, and when I tried to reconnect, I got the exact same nonsense. It either connects without any actual internet access, or it won't connect at all. Could the issue be the stick itself?

Is this monitor actually worth the money?

Just a heads-up: I’m not looking for some high-end gaming rig here. It’s mostly just for browsing the web, running some CAD software, and maybe a little bit of gaming—though that’s pretty rare.
