This movie is like some hack columnist trying to cash in on whatever's trending right now... but it’s honestly so dull you just stop reading halfway through. And whoever thought adding horror was a good idea? God bless them... they clearly missed the mark.
Man, that was brutal. Forty minutes in and I feel like I just went ten rounds in a boxing ring... The script felt like it was ripped straight out of a chaotic farmyard at dawn. Nobody talks normally, everyone's just screaming over each other and cutting people off... it's irritating as hell.
Man, if the first two were a blast, this last one was just a total disaster. Just constant action where the leads land three shots and somehow hit four people, while soldiers with high-tech scopes and rifles can't even graze them... felt like watching Commandos. Honestly, there wasn't a single good thing about this movie.
Super fun movie. Honestly cracked me up a few times... Never thought I'd be praising the acting in a The Rock flick, but they really nailed those kids. Spent the whole time looking at the blonde girl instead of Jack Black.

I would have preferred if the character actually fleshed out the narrative connections (if that's even possible here), but instead, I basically just ended up saying, "Well, I don't know, maybe these are three different universes, maybe they aren't, who knows," and "events in one universe might bleed into others, so maybe this happened there or didn't happen here, but who can tell." Honestly, I don't think it's right that after three films, people still have no clue where we are in the timeline or which universe we're even looking at (considering we have three movies and potentially three separate universes at this point).
I think you guys might be overthinking it a bit... a solid movie should work regardless of the time or place...😁
Expectations are a bitch. Aside from the opening which actually looked promising, this movie is just straight-up terrible. There’s absolutely nothing left of the original Cloverfield. Honestly, the only decent parts were those two quick flashes of monsters that don't even matter to the plot... I was expecting a blast, but instead, I got another one of those movies where astronauts just wander around a spaceship and die one by one.
I’m actually having a blast with this one. It makes zero sense, totally random, but somehow it just works...
The only thing that really bugs me is why they had to mention Uber in a movie like this. Seriously, screw Uber... Imagine building a whole fantasy world where Orcs and humans coexist, only to slap Uber right in the middle of it. I guess in this chaotic mess it fits, but still...
Calling people 'lowlifes' and saying they 'crawled out of some gutter'... why aren't these insults getting deleted or banned? For pages at a time, there isn't even a single sentence about the game. It's just the old guard attacking other users instead of talking football, especially since they already have their own dedicated thread where they can rant all they want. Just a bunch of frustrated guys taking it out on everyone else when they can't vent about the actual match here. And the mods? They’re just watching. Maybe they're too busy, I guess. If that's the case, just hand the baton to someone who actually has the time... otherwise, we're all just gonna end up flaming each other while the real game talk moves to some side forum under a mod who actually enforces the rules.
Dennis Ramirez53 really nailed that. Such a shame about the cast though... Watching this felt like having a 50-pound weight sitting on my chest the whole time. The soundtrack was especially annoying. It’s hard not to compare movies like this to classics like *The Godfather* or *Seven*... Even if it's not quite black and white, you finish the movie and just feel absolutely nothing for any of the characters... I wouldn't recommend giving this one a watch.

If you aren't planning on playing anything crazy intense, you don't really need any other upgrades besides the GPU and a power supply, since this one isn't super reliable. Out of that total $367, maybe set aside 300 for a PSU like THIS ONE, and with the rest, grab a card like THIS and you'll even have some cash left over $33. 🙂 That card is a total steal; for $233 you get a little beast... honestly, there's no point going cheaper because the 250 model right below it is only about 5 bucks less but noticeably weaker.
P.S. For $100, there aren't any GPUs worth buying for actual gaming, it just doesn't make sense, and with those $267, you really don't have anything else to spend money on since the rest of the rig is solid. You've got a triple-core CPU and 4 GB of RAM. The only weak link is the power supply I suggested.
Thanks man. Actually, I was aiming for a used card with $100. But maybe I'll check out a shop since this one died on me way too fast...
AMD Athlon ii X3 455 3,30 GHz, Socket AM3 AsRock N-68-VS3 UCC PCI-E Kingmax 4 GB DDR3 400W Power Supply Windows 7 64
1. Looking for a GPU around $100. Mostly just watching movies, but I try to jump into a game once a month... currently playing Alan Wake on the lowest settings with my Asus 3650 Silent 512 mb... Can I actually find used cards at local computer shops? 2. Any other used upgrades you'd suggest so I don't get stuck in the Stone Age? Or am I looking at a total overhaul? Say I have $267 to spend (not counting the GPU itself).

Look, when you're trying to market something, you want it to look cool. If someone who knows nothing about the series reads "The Mockingjay," they aren't gonna think it's some heavy indie drama—they'll realize it's a massive blockbuster meant to grab everyone's attention.
As for the movies, the first one was solid, but the second felt a bit weak. The books are pretty easy reads, though that third one dragged for me. Now that they're splitting the last part into two movies, I'm kinda nervous...

It was high energy and a blast, just had way too much soccer hooligan poetry for me (chanting stuff about Mamić, you know, the usual )...
That’s how it goes at shows like this (Cock Sparrer, Perkele...). At the Perkele gig, half the crowd was chanting for LAFC while the other half was basically flipping them off. Can't remember if they ever checked out Real McKenziese though...
You’re actually spot on. I’m looking at a used one from a guy I trust, but if that falls through, I’m definitely going new. Now that I’m actually measuring out my desk space... maybe I should go bigger. What do you think, can I find a solid 23-inch for that kind of cash that'll actually get the job done?
Anyone got some solid recs for a used monitor under $400? Nothing crazy needed, just gonna watch movies and do some photo editing... no gaming involved. Just don't want anything smaller than 22 inches.
Total garbage movie. Missing those badass scenes from the first one that actually made it a top-tier action thriller. Just a basic, pathetic action flick now...
The second movie totally killed my vibe for the third one. Since the first film was actually amazing, this sequel felt like such a massive letdown once it hit its peak SPOILERwhen she literally dug herself out of her own grave (wait, whose grave?) SPOILER
I was thinking about diving into the books too... does the second book take such a huge dive in quality compared to the first one?
