Honestly, just go out and grab some used cards instead. You can snag a GTX 1060 3GB for $400—and let me tell you, that thing is still a beast—rather than wasting your hard-earned cash on this absolute garbage that isn't even worth half the asking price. In my book, if you aren't looking at at least a 6600 or a 6600 XT, you might as well be shopping in the used bin.
Oh, sure—as if nothing happened! You got blasted for absolutely no reason, drowned in snide comments, and had your opinions mocked just for the hell of it—no proof, no logic, just pure spite. And the worst part? The mods just sit there and let those people run wild! Now everything’s been wiped clean and we’re all supposed to just act like everything is fine? Give me a break!
opinio, honestly, just stick to the food forums. We actually need more people like you—calm, objective, and without all that weird ego stuff!
And you mods? You're still playing your little political games, basically driving away anyone who actually contributes anything useful to the food boards (doesn't matter if they're old-timers or newbies, it's all the same)! I’m dying to know—what happens when everyone starts talking to each other like this? Just tearing each other down and mocking opinions without a shred of basis? What do you think this place turns into then? If you don't know, you're about to find out... and then, once the chaos hits, you'll just turn a blind eye again and start deleting posts to hide the mess!
If he finally got banned for being abusive, it seriously took them long enough! I mean, people were just tearing him apart—his views, his character, everything. Especially from "Her Royal Highness," who loves playing the provocateur and then acting all innocent or playing dumb when things get heated. Of course, there’s zero proof left now because they’ve scrubbed those posts for the thousandth time instead of actually handing out a ban or even a basic warning!
Anyway, I’ve been scrolling through the forum and seeing how people actually get warned for their behavior. It would be nice, just for once, if you guys called people out for their baseless rudeness instead of just deleting their posts to hide the embarrassment!
This isn't news to anyone; it happens way too often. Honestly, I used to have a ton of respect for the current mod team, especially compared to Polly—who was basically a walking natural disaster for this entire community! But now? Not so much.
Look, I don't have anything personal against any specific user or moderator here, but the way some of these people act—and the fact that they're allowed to get away with it—is totally wrong and unfair! I just stay away from arguing with those types because I know exactly how it ends: I end up getting banned while their trashy posts just vanish into thin air. It’s an absolute disgrace to the culinary world—how can you guys be this biased?!
I mean, who knows? There must be some bars out there where owners were actually willing to partner up with him. You just have to stumble upon them. I know if I’m ever in Chicago, I can probably find his flyers tucked into a menu somewhere. Maybe I'll just ask him if he's got any spots in California—I think he mentioned he started grinding down by the coast.
Look, we aren't exactly best friends or anything. He's just an acquaintance of my girlfriend, so if I really have to, I guess I could ask. Maybe the guy has a list of places that carry his stuff. Who knows?
Honestly, you guys can just go ahead and ask him yourselves.
The guy's name is Paul.

Asking because a buddy of mine makes them, and I helped him out with the picking.
You can find them in bars all over town.
I know a Boy who does this—he sells them under the name "FedEx." Seriously, though, it’s an amazing juice.

Look, every team has a specific tactic or a certain style that just eats them alive—you have to exploit that. That's where you see a team's true caliber. The real question here is whether Slavko Goluža actually nailed the strategy against Argentina, or if we were just playing our usual game and they simply couldn't handle us? If you look at Mexico, you can see how switching to a 4-2 defense at certain points throws them into total chaos because their forwards are so sluggish. But Slavko Goluža? He sticks to his 6-0 or 5-1 setup the entire game. Since he totally messed up the offense with Kopljar, there wasn't even a thought of trying anything different while trailing. Honestly, the fact that we walked away with a point is just masking the reality of the situation. Slavko Goluža has shown himself to be a coach with exactly one idea: stacking blocks in defense and running a 6-0. He has zero answers or ideas for anything else—it basically falls on the players to take matters into their own hands and try to salvage whatever they can. And frankly, that’s how we’ve been playing offense the entire tournament.
Basically, Slavko Goluža is limited in countless ways—especially if you compare him to Lin. Lin would leave the offense somewhat to the players, sure, but he knew how to rotate through three different defensive schemes until the opponent finally broke. And then Balić would just step in and make things happen!
P.S. The goalkeepers in this whole mess are really just the icing on the cake—top-tier talent. But the foundation of the game remains the same. Slavko Goluža shouldn't be blaming the keepers for being victims of poor defense and bad form; he shouldn't be blaming them for the final result or the overall impression!
I didn't catch the game yesterday, but honestly? It looks like Gole is going to snatch up yet another championship right out from under us—unless one of those players decides to blow it the second they get back. I'm praying to Bog for that one, seriously... I mean, I am a Catholic after all!
dustypanther6 said:Hehe. "Accident." Seriously? Read all the posts before you start chirping. I'm basically a walking typo myself—I actually messed up my own spelling just because seeing those errors was grating on my nerves. Look, mistypanther11, if you’re going to post on an American forum, at least learn the basics. If you can't even get simple vowels right, what are we even doing here?
What, do you think everyone grew up learning grammar in Sunday school or something? It honestly hurts my feelings how much this is bothering you guys. You both seem pathetic.
I really don't have the energy to argue about grammar—I had no clue what he was even talking about, so I asked him, and he hits me with "clone spike," "fail," and some stupid smiley face. Like, buddy, you clearly know what a "fail" is and who "accident" refers to. His old-timers probably taught him everything he knows. Just a total attention seeker. And guess what? I'll write however I want. I'm not going to spend my life correcting people just because they missed a letter in two posts. It's just sad. Honestly? Ignore button clicked. Peace out!
brightwolf48 said:Look, I was strictly talking about grammar, nothing else.🙂 Using "i" instead of "í" has absolutely zero to do with basketball—and it definitely doesn't have anything to do with sarcasm...😉
Fine then, let's just pivot and obsess over grammar instead.
dustypanther6 said:If we’re talking about a high-stakes game, then you better believe the roster needs to be top-tier—no excuses. You don't show up to a championship fight with a B-team, right? It's pretty simple logic! 🙂
Look, I was being sarcastic when I called that the "biggest game ever"—it was a total joke. It’s exactly these kinds of meaningless matchups where Goluža goes off and starts building his entire worldview—blaming the refs, the goalies, even Ivano Balić. I told everyone back before we played Sweden that if he puts Kopljar in the lineup, we’re toast. And what happened? He put him in, and we lost. Now he’s putting Buntić in and suddenly we're winning? Please. In his mind, it’s always the goalies' fault or Balić's fault. It's always someone else!
Gregory Ramos3 said:Is Vreća actually going to step up and defend today? Or what?

I’m calling it now—Pešić is starting today, and Buntić is right there with him. We’re looking at the absolute powerhouse lineup for the biggest game of this tournament. Still, I think we need to get Goluža some minutes; he’s playing it slow, sure, but what else can you do? If they want to actually stand a chance in the next championship, they need to figure out how to build chemistry on offense. They have to start paying attention to those unpredictable plays and maybe nail three solid defensive stops. Man, I’m just saying—if we played like those uncoordinated retirees we saw back during the Olympics in Rio, we wouldn't stand a chance!
hehehe, looking at the sports news—what an absolute clown Goluža is. Honestly, if we don't kick him and Gobac out right now, we’re going to end up looking even more clueless than Goluža himself.
Quote of the day:
"We managed ten saves today and pulled off a win by 4 or 5 points. If we had just made that extra push against them... Our defense was solid from the jump, we just needed a bit more support from the keeper, otherwise we definitely wouldn't be standing where we are." A couple lines later, when asked about his struggles managing the roster, he gets all serious again: "It's easy to sit there talking 'if this happened' or 'if that happened'..." Author: Slavko Goluža.
neonfalcon16 said:I mean, seriously—I did NOT see that performance from Poland coming. They played like absolute garbage. It’s pretty obvious they’re in even deeper trouble than we are right now. 🤷
Look, that’s exactly why Goluža is being put on a pedestal right now—he’s only "world-class" if everyone else plays like absolute garbage, just like they did against Poland. If you want gold, you don't just need one guy playing okay; you need the rest of the field to completely fall apart. Is he good? Sure. But let's be real—is he actually elite if the competition is this mediocre? I doubt it.
And those ridiculous comments he made at the end of the game? Honestly, just forget about them—at the end of the day, a win is a win. But let's be real: what kind of coach even says stuff like that? He thinks everyone’s just going to move on, but newsflash—even if the fans decide to overlook how much he sucked, he shouldn't. Just because people stop complaining doesn't mean he suddenly knows what he's doing. Maybe if he actually spent less time talking trash and more time focusing, he might actually learn something about the job.
LeBron James said:Look, since we’re officially out of the medal hunt for the first time after Germany 2007—and let's be real, one bad game killed us even though we were playing lights out—it’s high time I write a few lines and try to be as objective as possible here.
After everything that’s gone down, things are becoming painfully clear. It’s that old saying, "the fish stinks from the head down," and in this case, the "head" is that certain gentleman, Z. g. setting Goluža. By putting him in the coach's seat, he basically got a free pass to run the show however he wanted, and it all came to a head with the mess we saw during this tournament: pushing Kopljar into the lineup, leaving guys like Špoljarić, Somić, and Šunjić out, cutting back Ivan Balić’s minutes, and calling up Matulić (even though he isn't really part of the core plans).
What really hits Goluža where it hurts is his lack of knowledge and experience. Our defense was nowhere near where it needed to be, despite all the talk about building our entire game around a solid defense and quick transitions to score easy goals... and don't even get me started on the offense—not a single set play worked. That’s been an issue ever since Smajlagić left the coaching staff, and we only managed to scrape by because of the sheer brilliance of Ivan Balić and Domagoj Duvnjak being in peak form during the 2009 World Cup in America.
All of this resulted in us getting absolutely shredded by outside players against the Danes, and partially against the Swedes, specifically because our 6-0 defense was useless. Goluža just doesn't know how to teach a 3-2-1 defense, and frankly, we lacked the right personnel to pull it off anyway (like having Caleb and Metličić at the half positions back in the day).
On the offensive side, we struggled against every serious opponent, much like we used to struggle only against the absolute giants (the Frenchmen, the Danes, the Spaniards), and the reason is obvious—you could see it clearly last night.
Sadly, this whole management situation has dragged the former World and European runners-up down to the level of a team like Mexico. My biggest hope is that we won't have to wait another seven years to grab a medal (like we did between 1996 and 2003), but I'm convinced that as long as coaches are appointed based on who they please, we aren't going anywhere. Next in line is Neno Kljajić, who also isn't quite cut out for the big stage.
Once Balić moves on, this squad needs to be built moving forward, because we actually have players with the talent to lead. Right now, it's Duvnjak, then in a few years it'll be Huđ and Caleb. But they'll never be "the greatest of all time" on their own, so they need support from guys like ZovkaSerdarušić, Obrvan, or Perkovac... but then you run into the clash of egos and conflicting interests with the "big boss."
Honestly, I'm miserable—not because of the results, but because of the way they play, the backroom deals, and the way one person terrorizes everyone else!
Regardless of all that, I want the boys to win tomorrow and secure a spot in the Olympics. I can't bring myself to root against America (even if it means rooting against ZG), because there’s the American flag on the jersey, not some ZG logo, and we sing the anthem, not whatever song ZG prefers...
👍👍👍👍👍
Well written. If I can add anything, it's that Goluža planned to run a 6-0 defense using Kopljar and that big guy as two two-meter giants, basing his whole strategy on that. In the end, it was a disaster. There was zero aggression, no breaking up plays, and our goalies were basically left standing alone in the dark. That’s why he kept pushing Kopljar—he thought he was getting a player who could cover both defense and offense—but the whole concept totally fell apart. There's always a silver lining, but not this time. You learn from your mistakes (unless you're Goluža). At this rate, everything will stay exactly the same, and Goluža is going to ruin this entire generation, from Gopac onwards!
Robert Cruz5 said:- If I actually knew why we played so great against Argentina but turned out this terrible in this game—then we’d play perfectly every single time. Honestly, I don't have a real answer. I just don't. Sometimes it just doesn't happen. Did I lose my mind for a second there? Look, there is zero division within this team, seriously—has there ever been anything different on the bench? Since 2003, things have always been "alive," and that's how we function best. Don't go looking for problems where they don't exist. That isn't the reason for such bad play or the score. So, what's next? We keep moving and fight for one of those top seven spots and for the Olympics qualifiers. Regardless of everything, we can't let ourselves collapse now. I really hope we'll be much better and take down the Poles.
It was pretty wild, too—the crowd started booing Balic during the second half after he started "going wild" on the bench.
- It's not my first time, I'm not getting tired of it. They've booed France, Germany... What am I supposed to do when people just don't understand handball?
Look, they played poorly because they started losing, and they started losing because of Kopljar and a bit of bad luck. You're down by two, our guys get all nervous—and why? Because of Goluz! If they had just played their strongest lineup from the jump, they'd have a lead, which makes life way easier for the goalies, and the guys would be more motivated. This whole thing is a psychological and tactical nightmare. Then, instead of fixing it, the coach swaps Balic for Kopljar (which is totally wrong)—I knew within fifteen minutes we were going to lose. We aren't playing well, and Goluz isn't helping at all, quite the opposite actually; he's giving wings to the Swedes, messing with their goalie, etc. It's not rocket science, but the coach is supposed to help them out, not screw them over right at the start!
redangler15 said:Guys, thanks for all the highs you've given us over this past decade. I really hope—for your sake—that you can fight your way to an Olympics berth and actually stay together for a few more years. Just go out there, grab one more trophy, and leave as the champions you deserve to be. That's all that matters to me. Don't pay them any mind—don't read them, don't listen to the haters spitting venom. Those people are their own worst punishment.
Even if this generation doesn't win anything else, it doesn't matter; thank you for everything so far...🙏 🙏 🙏
Look, do you even remember that championship in Canada when they knocked us out? Metlicica was banged up and Balic was basically broken for the whole tournament. When they lost, they told the guys, "Just wait until the Olympics, we're all going to get screwed by those bastards," and then they went out and grabbed gold that summer. They said that because they gave it everything and knew how close they were despite all the trophies stolen from them and the sheer injustice of it all. Fast forward to today—this team is playing like they don't give a damn, and honestly, you can blame Goluz for not getting them synchronized. I'm telling you, these geniuses—if you can call them that—could have made it to the semifinals with the current level of competition, but they won't because Goluz plays Kopljar, which just injects pure nerves into the lineup. It’s total chaos on the court—nobody knows who’s doing what, it's a mess—and everyone is pissed because they know they have the talent, but you can't do anything when Goluz is busy forcing his little puppets to play his way. I bet Balic wanted to absolutely demolish that Goluz guy, but he didn't because he's an honorable man and didn't want to discredit Kopljar or the other nobodies who aren't even at fault—they're just clueless because of him. But you can't even call out Goluz or explain it or show him, because that idiot thinks he's the brains of the operation! Coach, psychological motivator, tactician... please! You could take any clueless moron of a coach and they'd ruin everything just as badly as he does!
Sean Gonzalez95 said:I don't think you quite caught my drift here...
I’m just talking about an intentional boycott of certain players—which obviously didn't happen. Of course I realize our chances have been completely trashed because people are meddling in things that aren't even their business and shouldn't be under their control in the first place..
Look, the jersey and the national team are sacred—I highly doubt anyone would ever go out of their way to intentionally boycott them.
But they weren't even gelled as a team at all! Even after being together for three whole weeks, Goluz didn't do squat with them because, frankly, he doesn't know anything else.
