Alright, let's break this down

The song is called

1. A grasshopper crawled up her sleeve
2. It kicks off with "Go on, girl, fix that mess however you can"

3. But it definitely doesn't end like that:

It's performed by SOUND LABORATORY

Honestly, I think it’s pretty tough to pin down what they're actually talking about here
😁 😁

Since we're all talking about cakes, baklava, and everything sweet, I figured I’d drop my own list of favorites instead.

1. steak😁
Duje Draganja: Sellout or just misunderstood? in Other Sports ·
rustystag7 said:Duje can't hold dual citizenship, especially not with people from the Middle East. We vet everyone coming into the US, and those regions are always high-risk because of terrorism concerns.

I can already picture Duje storming onto a subway in a backpack, sending everyone into a total panic.😁

stormyviper11 said:Honestly, even that whole thing with the Skids wasn't terrible (I basically created a monster by having Ar Peka record them—they’re decent, but not amazing, except for his work).

I feel the same way as Gregor Tomac. He actually uses them as an example of why things didn't take off—if a band like the Skids couldn't make it back then, what chance did we ever have?😁

Our little clinic.
4. Seinfeld 🙂

It's basically just Kit Tyler's crew going up against those total troublemakers.🙄

Ecce homo! 🙏 🙏 🙏

(I mean, I've really only heard that song by Skids, but honestly, it carries more weight than like four whole discographies from bands like The Stranglers).

If you've only ever heard one song by Skids!!! ???? Don't even talk to me. They're legends, maybe my absolute favorites from that era, if I'm being real....

The housewife is like the Buzzcocks of cookies. 🙂

Could be... but then those moto cookies are basically the Skids.😁

Man, I delete one post and suddenly it's like, "Why would you do that? You're ruining the thread!" It’s always something...😁

Dana Anderson4 said:A girl from my office was telling me about her dad back in the seventies in Boston. He ran into some guy who just comes up and starts hurling insults at him out of nowhere. Her dad, being the gentleman he is, basically told him to back off, but the guy just kept doubling down, acting like a total jerk. It’s wild how people used to act like animals.

If he had flipped the script and insulted the guy back, he probably would've ended up in a fight anyway. It wasn't just happening in Boston either; you'd see the same kind of aggressive types in New York or Chicago. We all grew up hearing stories from our parents about those neighborhood tough guys who lived for nothing but trouble.
Even though some people claim there was a certain "spirit" to that era, personally, I don't miss that chaos at all.👋

Honestly, I think anyone who skipped the Nina Below zero concert is probably way smarter than I am. 😁 It’s basically like some random blues band playing at a high school reunion. I couldn't care less about sports fans either—I'm about thirty years too old to find that kind of nonsense interesting. I barely even keep up with the Champions League, let alone those minor leagues or whatever else is going on. 🙄

Jason Chavez32 said:Look, Nescafé is Nescafé and Jacobs is Jacobs. You don't find a Nescafé made by Jacobs. It's like saying you've got a Sony made by Panasonic.😵

Honestly, it's all the same nonsense. Comparing brands like that is like grouping every toothpaste or razor together—it doesn't matter. If it isn't real coffee, it's just junk, and honestly, it could be any random brand for all I care.

By the way, man, I knew what neighborhood slang was, but I didn't fully get the whole post until I realized we were talking about some sports fans...

Sean phone home😁

Alex Rogers91 said:Anyway... is this Pekica guy trying to play some kind of Sean Phone routine on us, man?

At least Americans should have a sense of humor.😁 I was just saying I couldn't make heads or tails of what he said, kind of like watching those old weird TV preachers during a miracle broadcast.😁

It wasn't even a joke...

And who even is this Sean Phone?
Sean Phone?😁

David Sullivan4 said:Respect to the Joint Union thrash crew!

I tried looking on that maniac's website for that legendary JU HC banner from back in the 90s, but the gallery is a complete mess... those Joint guys were such a great crowd, just like those Red Firm types who went full hardcore... basically legends...

Man, I often see him hanging out with the guy who used to run the Joints; he had that video rental shop Yoko near us before the war, now he’s got some bar in that new building by the bus station, so everyone gathers at Ganja's to catch the games... video store, pub, stadium... it's like a classic neighborhood vibe.

P.S.: Sepultura playing outside...

😕
There's a multi-lingual mass going on right now in English, French, and—if I'm hearing that right—Swahili. Nothing weird for a place like Lourdes; they keep things multilingual to save on costs. Same deal here: "Let us pray" after communion was in English, "The Lord be with you" was in French, and I couldn't make heads or tails of the "Go in peace" part.😁 😁

I always read the paper starting from the front page. People act like I'm some kind of weirdo for doing it...

To be fair, I don't actually read The New York Times.😁 I could easily flip through it at work every day since it's a solid paper, but old habits die hard.😁
