because the truth is, if you haven't actually been through it yourself, you can't really wrap your head around it, no matter how hard you try. People who have lived it, they just get it, I guess.

I mean, it’s honestly so easy to just sit here and judge everyone else, but at the end of the day, we're all just individuals, right? And especially since we're talking about a girl who's actually battling cancer, I guess there's really no point in us continuing with this kind of toxic way of communicating.

I feel like anyone in that position really ought to take a step back and admit to themselves that all that pain they're feeling basically stems from their own selfishness. Because, if I'm being totally honest, when someone is struggling with an illness, their passing is actually more of a gift to them in the end.

You're mostly talking about theories here rather than what actually happens in real life.

I guess sometimes the "environment" just gets harder to handle, especially for parents when their kid is sick, which is honestly true. It’s rare for people to stay totally composed, even though they really should try not to focus all the complaining on the person who’s actually suffering. But then again, it’s pretty tough to judge, because the person who's ill is the one living through it, while the person right by their side is dealing with this massive psychological weight, which can feel even worse sometimes...

What kind of "age limit for cancer" are we even talking about here?

It’s just not a thing... I mean, malignant diseases can strike at absolutely any stage of life, unfortunately.
Anyone with even a basic understanding of medicine knows that there are certain types of tumors that specifically target infants and children, others that mostly show up during adolescence, some that hit during middle age, and then those that tend to surface in the elderly....

mistybear4, I feel like you're just playing philosopher and trying to sound smart by throwing around all these statistics, but we aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet—at least I don't think so... we're talking about actual human beings, not just data points.......

Guys, I honestly can't believe some people actually go through the effort of counting every single calorie they eat. It just seems so intense, you know? 😕

I feel like I’ve been super hyper since early this morning, honestly even waking up before my alarm goes off, and I guess I’m just at my absolute best when the sun is out, though this gray and snowy weather we're having right now is definitely slowing me down a little bit, but overall I’m feeling pretty energized in the mornings...
