So why are you posting on the IMF betting board? I see you really value your word.
Fair enough. You caught me.
With a heavy heart, I decided to break my promise and go against my word because I felt it was in everyone's best interest. See, so many people follow Nicholas Chase34's picks (myself included). What if the game ends up being a 108-point total, and that one extra point proves decisive for someone who placed their bet on SS instead of Favorite? Even though I knew I could have pointed that out, I didn't. That would have haunted me for a while.
But alright. I’m starting the countdown today! :-).
P.S. Is it just me, or is the forum acting up with the emoticons?
Nicholas Chase34 said:I know, I've seen it, but my favorite sportsbook doesn't offer the specific handicap for the Chicago Bulls game that I'm trying to parlay. 🙄
So, you're absolutely certain that even 107.5 would be enough? 🙂 .
Alright, let me clarify something. It’s happened a few times now where I’ve just automatically assumed that the margin posted on the forum was the absolute best deal available for that specific bet (at least based on what we usually see at our local US sportsbooks). Then, after I've already placed my wager, I realize there were actually better margins available—maybe by a point or two—even with the exact same odds. So, from now on, I’m double-checking everything first. 🙄
Nicholas Chase34 As requested:
Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns
Under 107.5 at 1.85.
I honestly think the oddsmakers went a bit overboard by setting the line this high for the Denver Nuggets. If you look at their recent stretch, they’ve been averaging just 99.2 points over the last five games, and they've only managed to clear this specific threshold once—and that was against the Indiana Pacers, a game where they absolutely dominated the paint. On the other side, the Phoenix Suns are giving up an average of 96.3 points per game and they boast a pretty stout interior defense, which is exactly what the Nuggets rely on to fuel their offense.
The Denver Nuggets are facing some serious setbacks right now. They're heading into this matchup without Danilo Gallinari (17 PPG), Nene (13.4 PPG), and Timofey Mozgov (5.7 PPG) in the lineup. That is a massive amount of scoring and interior presence to be missing all at once.
The Denver Nuggets' offense definitely feels a bit more vulnerable right now. Between losing Danilo Gallinari and having Nene out as well, pushing past that 108-point mark is going to be a much tougher climb than usual.
For instance, looking at the Favorites, the line is set at under 108.5 at 1.85 odds. It’s wild how much weight a single basket carries in these matchups; one solitary point can be the difference between a win and a loss on your ticket. 🙄.
I am absolutely livid with Orlando 🙂 .
The Spurs covered their spread, the Lakers went under, Dallas came through, even that Portuguese side scored a last-minute winner, and Azarenka pulled off the win... then Orlando just completely ruins everything.
Instead of sitting here bragging about a massive payday and some serious profits, I’m just sitting here looking like a complete idiot. 56 points 🤣 .
And to top it all off, I actually played it safe on my main parlay by taking the draw 😁 ..
P.S. I honestly thought I’d feel a lot better after posting this 🤷
stormyseal9 said:I really hope someone was able to catch that game!🤷It’s a shame Ellis had such an off night; he ended up falling short by just a couple of points, but looking at the big picture, it wasn't a bad performance overall.☕
How on earth are you complaining about hitting 8 out of 9? That is an incredible result! Honestly, you should be celebrating that performance. 👍 .
I told you, whenever I try to copy what you write, it ends up being a total disaster. 🤷 .
Alright, I’m getting back into the action today for some small change. Just enough to stay in the loop and keep my eyes on the game. 🙄
Jerry Grant51 said:that number 21 put up points with just 17 seconds left on the clock
I guess I’m finally making some money off this NBA madness🙂.
Bargnani hit two buckets with 46 seconds remaining, and then stepped up to sink two free throws with only 17 seconds left. Coincidentally, for the number 21 in the HL, the margin was sitting at 20.5.
If LeBron finishes with exactly 28 points, that puts the margin at 27.5. 🙄.
Meanwhile, Carmelo cruised through without any issues at all. 🙂
Bryan Adams6 As I was saying:
Here are the matchups I’m keeping a close eye on for tonight:
New York City vs. Toronto Raptors: Over 195.5 @ 1.85
Run and gun. ☕
Where on earth did you find that margin?
Right off the bat, a couple of these caught my eye:
Houston-Atlanta (190.5) (01.01. 01:00) over 1.85
Sacramento-New York (-20.5) (01.01. 02:00) under 1.85
I’m looking at this from both a statistical standpoint and just pure gut feeling.
Regarding Amaro, what really clinches it for me is that he tweaked his ankle during the matchup against the LA Lakers. I’m not going to sit around waiting for the latest injury report because even without that confirmation, the margin here looks incredibly attractive. If he's actually hurt and they don't pull him from the rotation—but he still ends up seeing some minutes regardless—it's a solid play. He's been putting up numbers like 21 (against Boston), 16, and 15 lately.
stormyseal9 said:...if a friend asks me to give them some picks, I usually turn them down because I've been on such a massive losing streak lately, and then I'd just be passing on my bad luck onto them.😍
That’s exactly how it works. You hit a few big winners in European basketball once, and suddenly you feel invincible. Then, after following your lead for a few days straight, I ended up losing everything I put down. 🙄...
If I start copying your plays again right now, we're both going to end up broke. 😁

............................
Dwight Howard (-22.5+)-Mem-Hou (12/31 01:00) Under 1.85 👍
Williams D (-21.5+)-Atlanta-New Jersey (12/31 01:30) Under 1.85 👎
R. Gay (-18.5+)-Mem-Hou (12/31 02:00) Over 1.85 👎
Atlanta-New Jersey/Total (93.5)-Atlanta (12/31 01:30) Over 1.85 👍
Milwaukee-Washington/Total (87.5)-Washington (12/31 02:30) Under 1.85 👍
Derrick Rose (-25.5+)-LA Clippers-Chicago Bulls (12/31 04:30) Under 1.85 👎
............................
I’m also eyeing the Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, and Milwaukee Bucks. 👍
The main bet hit! I also put some money on Boston over 96. They had 86 points after the third quarter, and then they only managed 10 more points in the entire fourth quarter 😲. So, that lands them at exactly 96 🙂.
stormyseal9 said:I really hope someone followed this ticket; it’s a shame the stake wasn't higher because the payout would have been huge, but still, a win is a win!
I didn't follow it myself, but bravo! 👏
Given such an overwhelming array of options, I feel compelled to step in and offer my own selection:
Howard D (-22.5+)-Cha-Orl (31.12. 01:00) Less. 1,85
WilliamsD (-21.5+)-Ata-NJer (31.12. 01:30) Less. 1,85
I have to say, I find myself feeling quite conflicted about this particular topic. It’s one of those issues where you can't help but look at the nuances rather than just accepting a surface-level take. There is so much depth to unpack here, and honestly, I think we need to be more careful about how we approach these discussions if we want to reach any kind of meaningful conclusion. It isn't just black and white, and anyone telling you otherwise is missing the bigger picture.-Mem-Hou (31.12. 02:00) Više 1,85
Atla/NewJ (93,5)Atlanta (December 31, 1:30 AM) Više 1,85
Milwaukee vs. Washington (87, 5)I am still awake, staring at the clock in Washington. It’s currently 2:30 AM, and I find myself sitting here in the quiet of the early morning, thinking about everything we’ve been discussing. There is something about this hour that makes everything feel more significant, isn't there? The world is still, and you can finally hear your own thoughts clearly. Less. 1,85
I’m still processing everything Rose D. mentioned, but looking at those numbers—specifically that -25.5+ margin—it really strikes me how much weight these figures carry. It isn't just about the raw data; it's about what this implies for our current trajectory here in the States. I find myself sitting with this for a moment, trying to wrap my head around the sheer scale of the shift we're seeing. It feels significant, almost heavy, if that makes sense. I'd love to hear more perspectives on how everyone else is interpreting this specific spread.-LAC-Chi (31.12. 04:30) Less. 1,85
To put it briefly:
Atlanta scored more than 93.5 points last time out—they dropped 106 on New Jersey and put up 101 against Washington. If you ask me, that margin is way too low.
The Washington under 87.5 looks like a trap to me. They’ve actually dipped below that margin in two of their last outings. I know Milwaukee put up 95 and 96 points in their recent matchups, but honestly, after seeing how much Washington struggled defensively, I just don't see them having enough firepower to clear this number. I'm passing on this one.
Howard’s been sitting under that 22.5 mark for three straight games now—it's becoming a bit of a pattern. To be honest, Charlotte just doesn't seem like the kind of matchup where he can really dig in and put up big numbers.
Williams is coming in under 21.5 points. He dropped 23 on Washington, but since then, he’s only managed two games where he hit double digits—and one of those was against Atlanta.
It’s actually significantly higher than 18.5—it’s more than double that, sitting right at exactly 19. 🙄 Since they’re playing against Houston, I absolutely have to tune in for this one.
He’s hitting less than 25.5—which is actually three times lower than that threshold—and his average is sitting at just 18. In my honest opinion, that number is simply way too high.
If they don't manage to pull off at least three of these, I’m officially done. I'll be walking away from this forum for good. 🙂 .
And don't forget about Dallas, Boston, and Milwaukee! 😁
Larry Morales12 said:That’s just not how it works. It’s actually impossible to do that because once you get your wristband, you have to wear it for the entire duration of the festival. You aren't even allowed to rip it off until everything is officially over! Honestly, he’s just completely out of his league. There’s no way he can pull this off.
I wouldn't say that’s entirely accurate. I’ve actually seen plenty of cases where someone managed to slip the bracelet off—though, granted, it was a massive struggle. It really all comes down to how tightly you fasten it, your specific wrist anatomy, and even what kind of lubricant you're using to help it slide. 🙄 But let's be honest—you really can't rely on downloading everything these days.
It’s happening at Mercatone too...
