goldeneagle2 said:Is Vasiljevic still around? Was he ever a member of General Motors? Also, thanks for providing that address; I’m planning to order a few things. I’m particularly interested in that essay on yogi. It isn't strictly about yoga techniques, but it is incredibly witty.

I can't speak to his membership status with General Motors. As for whether he is still alive, yes, he was perfectly fine just last month, and we actually stay in touch from time to time.

I find myself quite curious regarding the current state of affairs with General Motors here in America.

Let’s just say that, theoretically speaking, I am still a member, even though I haven't had any contact with them for over a year now. From my perspective, OTO isn't particularly active in this part of the US; it feels somewhat sterile and uninspired.

But who truly knows? Perhaps things have shifted in the interim. I assume there are still some members active on this forum, so maybe they can provide more insight than I can.

If you are interested in translations of Crowley's books, there is one specific OTO member who produces high-quality translations of Crowley's work and various other texts. They also publish a quarterly called a k duo, which, in my opinion, is quite excellent and packed with fascinating articles and information.

If you want to reach out, the email address is paralele@email.t-com.hr. Just so we are clear, I don't receive any commission whatsoever. 😉

I was fortunate enough to attend university in Ljubljana, where there was this one specific bookstore located right on Čopova street that specialized exclusively in alternative literature and various "spiritual" artifacts.

That’s where it all began for me—diving deep into the works of Slavinski, Aleister Crowley, and Eliphas Levi. Later on, I had the "pleasure" of meeting a certain gentleman who was actually a pioneer in translating and analyzing Crowley's work within our region (P. Vasiljević).

From there, it's just a straight line toward joining organizations like the O.T.O., and so on... but I won't bore you with too many details. 😉

goldeneagle2 said:I'm not sure if I explained that clearly enough. We'd love for you to drop by the iskonov forums sometime; we have a dedicated section for religion.

Your point was perfectly clear.

I have absolutely no intention of frequenting those religious forums. In my experience, they aren't spaces for actual critical dialogue; instead, they serve merely as platforms for people to aggressively try to convince others that their specific religion is "superior."😉

If one is looking for high-quality conversation, you are far more likely to find it within discussions on spirituality.

We are talking about actual practice here, not some form of mental masturbation where you just pour emptiness into a void.

Children, why don't you go run off and celebrate those little "enlightened" mental abilities of yours with John. Once you actually stumble upon something real, then—and only then—can you come back here.

goldeneagle2 said:Baphomete, what exactly are these MTRP and MPRH practices?

They are small pentagram evocation rituals and minor hexagram invocation rites. They serve as excellent tools for clearing a space and sharpening one's focus before diving into the primary ritual.

goldeneagle2 said:I practice yoga daily—meditation, chakra work, pranayama, asanas, and kirtan. That constitutes the spiritual practice of Ananda Marga yoga.

If I am not mistaken, those are elements found in almost every form of yoga. What, then, is it that distinguishes Ananda Marg from all the others?

Sending love to you all!

I will offer a brief digression here, simply because I have no desire to be lumped in with the rest of you, given that I advocate for a theory that stands in direct opposition to yours.

To put it bluntly: a human being is an isolated entity endowed with the gift of consciousness. Our very existence is a negation of the natural order of things. Furthermore, this desperate craving for "reunification" with the whole could easily be reduced to nothing more than a childish longing to return to the safety of the womb.

That is all from me. 👋

I firmly believe such a thing does not exist.

The remainder of my convictions can be found within my signature.

Start this thread and get moving! 😁

So, is there any news to report?

However, as per the established etiquette of this forum, it would be only proper to provide a brief introduction of oneself.

As for me, following the various calls to action I mentioned at the start of this thread, I have transitioned toward a more "concentrated" approach to my practice.

It consists of a minimum set of simple rituals, primarily intended to define the magical workspace, a few physical movements to align the body with the work, and the remainder is meditative, mental, chaotic, or mathematical in nature. 😁

Well, Piggy Bank, I never expected much from you, but you completely overlooked the most critical factor of all... the price.

All you people have is nothing but mindless chatter and empty nonsense.

I consider myself my own ultimate authority.

And let’s be clear: this isn't some minor detail, it is a massive 😁

Jamie Cox48 said:Take the US military, for instance. I've heard they utilize some kind of specialized energy technique—I can't recall the specific designation—but essentially, one single strike and it's game over...🙂 🙂

Is he talking about a Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha?

I consider myself quite fortunate to be a bit of a cynic; it spares me the exhausting charade of pretending to harbor lofty feelings for all of humanity or searching for some profound beauty of soul in every person I meet.

In truth, if I’m being perfectly candid, there is one other scenario where a person's physical appearance becomes entirely irrelevant: if a girl actually possesses a sense of humor and can hold her own over a few cold beers.😁

The top four spots are overwhelmingly dominated by men! 😁

Hmm, you’ve completely missed the point of that statistic... spirituality in Americans just boils down to empty chatter anyway.

David Miller15 said:Why would anyone think... I mean, it’s almost like you're wasting your time... quite the opposite, actually...

I honestly believe that the sense of affection Enchantress was describing isn't strictly dependent on "love." Think about it: when you have a falling out with your absolute best friend over something trivial—it doesn't even have to be a massive blowout—you might not feel particularly close to them for a while. But if you truly are the best of friends, you still know deep down that you care for them, even if you refuse to admit it during those more... let's say, "heated" moments. Or look at how we were as kids; when you fought with a sibling, you never actually convinced yourself that you didn't love them, at least not for any significant amount of time.

Now, I don't find everyone to be dear to me, but I make a conscious effort not to harbor active dislike toward people... at least as a starting point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no hippie...😳 😉

Damn Monterey.

Enchantress said:You have this uncanny way of being genuinely endearing, even when you're peddling those extremist views of yours. 😁 Surely, beneath that abrasive exterior, there lies a tender and noble heart. 😛 🤣

I suppose the more abrasive a man is toward a woman, the more she tends to fall for him.

Classic. 😁
