What kind of "issues" are we even talking about here?

I am certainly not delusional enough to claim I like everyone.

Good God, no.

I fail to see any logical reason why one would feel that way.

Maybe I should just jump into politics.😁

As for myself, I might actually attend one of those lectures of theirs, provided my schedule allows for it.

It was right in the middle of that whole circus run by the mystic.

How on earth are anyone expected to focus on meditation when there's such a chaotic fair going on at the exact same time? 😁
Soloing vs. Tradition: Do we really need "gurus"? in Spirituality ·
Ryan Wilson2 said:Ryan Wilson2🙄 🙄 Astrology, tarot, runes, and all those other so-called "spiritual tools" used to attempt to manipulate fate? They are nothing more than an open invitation. By engaging with these practices, you are effectively unlatching the door to your soul, leaving it wide open for demonic forces to exploit. These entities prey on the vulnerable, seizing control of the spirit only to drag it straight down into hell. Is anyone truly prepared for the consequences of playing with such darkness?

You would be much better off trying to hawk the Watchtower on a street corner; perhaps then someone might actually take you seriously.

At this rate, you might actually end up as a hibernation coach for bears to help them settle in for the winter.😁

I have to ask, Ryan Wilson2, have you ever had a mentor, or perhaps someone guiding you along this path?

How would one even go about selecting a master, for instance?
What specific qualities would they need to possess?
And so on... if you feel like answering, of course.

To be honest, I don't have one, nor do I expect to ever find one (though people always say "never say never"), but I suppose I could say I've crossed paths with a few individuals who helped point me in the right direction. In the past, I viewed it more as a mutual exchange of insight and experience.

For me personally, there is one non-negotiable factor: a master, or anyone expecting me to take them "seriously," must actually stand behind the weight of their own words.

And here is the list of gurus 😉

Regardless, the core issue remains unchanged: one requires at least a baseline level of intuition and deep self-awareness to select a tradition that truly resonates with their being. If we lack that necessary degree of self-knowledge, I believe astrology can serve as an incredibly powerful tool to guide us through that process.

What are your thoughts on this?

Improvising can be quite seductive because it offers a thousand different ways to mask your own lack of discipline; however, there is a massive trap in simply wandering aimlessly and chasing superficialities.

On the flip side, leaning on tradition or following a "guru" is equally tempting, mainly because it relieves you of the burden of thinking—you just let someone else dictate your direction.

Perhaps the ideal approach lies in a synthesis, where tradition serves as the bedrock upon which an individual develops a technique tailored specifically to themselves.

It depends on who you ask.

Some people deserve the truth, while others? They get a lie.

And no, I don’t feel an ounce of guilt when I deceive someone.

Especially when it comes to computer users. 😁

Ryan Wilson2 said:One could argue they're just some kind of Buddhist, Taoist, or Tantric practitioner... anything, really. If that's the case, then what exactly is their specific connection to Satanism?

It seems to me that one of the core pillars of Satanism is the pursuit of extending consciousness beyond the threshold of death.

However, this raises a fundamental question regarding how we actually define that concept. For instance, if I were to view it through the lens of extreme individualism, the perspective shifts entirely.

Well, here is a triple dose of reality for you.

Consider this my response to your mindless rambling whenever you find yourself unable to provide an actual answer.

Regarding various Eastern physical disciplines, I find myself having no issue with them whatsoever.

However, as far as everything else is concerned, my stance remains unchanged.

Surely you can come up with a more sophisticated argument than that.

And here I was, actually believing the comparison was meant to be symbolic.

It means you stop peeing on the floor and start using the toilet properly.

Similarly, paper is better off unaware of the book it resides in.

And chips are best when you have no idea what kind of potato went into them.

Or a burger—it’s much more palatable when you aren't questioning the quality of the beef.

Even with beer, isn't it better if you don't know the origin of the hops?

As someone who identifies with the darker currents of thought, I would argue that awareness is the single most vital element of all.
Energy Vampires: How to deal with them? in Spirituality ·
restlessmarlin6 said:Ryan Wilson2, yes, that’s essentially the gist of it. But let's be honest—the real "demons" often reside within the people closest to us. They aren't always external enemies; quite frequently, they are your own loved ones who, perhaps subconsciously, simply drain your very essence.

I wasn't suggesting they were enemies, because an enemy can never get close enough to truly deplete you.

However, what you're describing isn't quite aligned with my original point. If you simply practiced a bit more "self-interest," most of these issues would resolve themselves immediately.

Because once you become a lighthouse, you end up attracting a massive swarm of moths.

I’ve experienced this myself on several occasions, though perhaps in a slightly different guise. There were times when I fell victim to it and was forced to scrap everything and start from scratch—a truly miserable situation.

It might sound eccentric, but I occasionally harbor the sensation that "someone" is watching from "above," and the moment they spot a "lighthouse," they dispatch various demons to snuff it out.

The only recourse is to stubbornly persist in your endeavors, regardless of the fallout for those around you; however, since humans are inherently social creatures, that is far easier said than done.
