Weight gain and loss really just comes down to what happens in the kitchen—it's all about nutrition...
It's pretty simple: if you burn more calories than you consume, the weight drops. Throw in some cardio three times a week—I'm talking about a solid 50 to 60 minutes of jogging—and you'll start seeing those results in no time. 🙂
Look, if you want to see results, you really should be aiming for about 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. So, if you’re sitting at 175 pounds, you need to be hitting roughly 155 grams of protein every single day... but I’m not talking about just slamming shakes; you need to get that protein from actual food. Now, whey protein combined with glucose? That’s specifically for muscle recovery right after a workout. Personally, I’ll throw a scoop and a half of whey into my shaker along with a heavy dose of glucose—I'm talking maybe 40g of whey paired with 70-80g of glucose. You can also mix whey with milk if you need a quick meal replacement on the go.
If anyone actually wants to understand the science behind why we use glucose or how whey works, just ask. I don't mind breaking it down for you.
Hold on, are you actually trying to show off an eight-pack, or do you just want to strengthen your core?
Because those two things aren't even remotely the same thing... anyone can go to the gym and build muscle strength, but if you actually want those defined abs to pop, you need to put in a hell of a lot more work. You have to prioritize heavy cardio sessions first, and then—obviously—you still need to hit every single part of your midsection... the upper, lower, and obliques.

Let me put this in plain terms for you... it’s all about the distance!
Aha... okay, 🙂 I can get behind that logic... but he wasn't asking if people were commuting; he was just asking if there were any gyms located specifically within Santa Barbara, Boulder, or Malibu, so I just gave him the heads-up that they exist.🙂
Aaron Harris said:Hey there... First off, just toss any advice regarding Boulder or Malibu straight into the trash.
You can find a gym in pretty much every single hotel in Santa Barbara, but if you actually want somewhere worth your time, stick to the Wellness center right across from the Admiral, the Admiral itself, or the Four Seasons.
👍
And why on earth should I ignore the advice for Boulder and Malibu?
Look, stop killing yourself doing the same basic crunches over and over again; you need to actually vary your routine if you want results... for instance, you should be targeting the upper abs, the lower abs, and the obliques separately... just do a quick search online, there are plenty of solid workouts out there with video demonstrations so you can see exactly how to do them right.
Pick up some 3-meter bandages and try to find the semi-elastic ones if you can. (The 5-meter ones are what most people use for boxing, mostly.) Just remember, those gloves aren't the same thing as boxing gloves...

During the summer months, we usually have about two or three different spots offering bungee jumping around here... in Savannah, the most famous one is definitely 🙂
