man, you guys are gonna be arguing tomorrow about how Red Bull managed to snag pole position anyway
honestly, RB looks way too good
--everyone else just looks like they're from a different planet
tire degradation is hitting hard
might see some overtakes because of it—but with those heavy overtakes happening, pitting multiple times is just too risky
then again, staying out on old rubber is a massive gamble too
damn Pirelli and this track, honestly
looks like some drivers got an even set while others didn't get quite the same distribution
stormybadger8 said:If that junk Italian alternator actually holds up this weekend, I’m expecting to see one or two Red Bulls at the front.😁

That Italian scrap alternator is basically just playing favorites with certain teams and drivers at this point.
I wonder...
This could actually be a fun one—Grosjean is back, and even Maldonado managed to stay out of trouble last race 😁

neonfox65 said:If you ask me, just scrap DRS entirely—overtaking has become way too easy. Plus, all those Vestack overtakes feel totally fake.

Honestly, they shouldn't have even introduced that crap in the first place—though it looks like they'll start placing it in some random spots soon enough.

James Smith50 said:Even if his career was totally over—which I don't know for sure, though I really hope not—anybody at a press conference could've just given Robert a quick shout-out or something.

Besides Kimi and Alonso, who else was actually close with him?

I honestly have no clue who else he's tight with
but
if even Kubica himself isn't stepping out into the spotlight, why would these guys be acting like his spokespeople if they didn't need to?
And look, if Kubica wants to go public, he can do it whenever he feels like it—assuming the media finds his story worth covering, of course.

Honestly, I can't believe nobody even mentioned a Kubica during those 9 races—not even his fellow drivers 🙄

If you ask me, his racing days are done—the best move for him now would be scouting talent or coaching at a driving school

neonfox65 said:Massa's gonna hear "Alonso is faster than you" over the radio😁

But seriously—I’m calling an Alonso win here😁😁

Look, I'm rooting for Massa, but I don't think they'll even need to drop that info on him
Unless Alonso gets stuck somewhere during qualifying and Massa somehow pulls a miracle to make it into the Third Quarter

Their strategy is a total disaster though. If they'd brought Kimi in when Vettel did, he would've cruised onto the podium. Honestly, their pit calls have cost him at least 20-25 points by now.

Even Massa should've been out there—he might've even snagged a spot on the podium himself.

well, looks like history is repeating itself again
Webber’s actually pulling more points—Vettel’s just hovering somewhere mid-pack, basically sabotaging Webber just so he can snag the title
I mean, seeing Alonso win would be the dream, but honestly? I wouldn't mind seeing Webber take it too
2012 British GP @ Silverstone in Formula 1 ·
If he’d caught a penalty already, people would be losing their minds and celebrating right about now
Luckily, Romain Grosjean isn't anywhere near him at the start—so there's a real shot Alonso pulls ahead
BUT, we're looking at a rainy race, which means a Safety Car is basically inevitable... so all that sprinting from Alonso might just be for nothing
Still, you've gotta keep an eye on Michael Schumacher, Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, and Kimi Räikkönen—wouldn't be surprised if one of them clinches it

Man, I was hoping for a quick hundred bucks in my pocket too, but yeah—no chance of that happening

Michael Lee4 said:Well, there's some talent in Mass so he'll probably grab something from there ☕

EDIT: Didn't even catch darkmarlin16's reply 🤣

At least Ferrari is competent enough to actually make a couple of identical wings for a single race—not like some other joke of a team

Samuel Ruiz4 said:Finally—Kimi takes the win, Romain’s right there keeping him in check, Hamilton grabs third, and then you’ve got Alonso and Vettel going head-to-head.

Man, you betcha
kimi & team will probably pull up somewhere around 10th place if the weather stays cool enough

Unless he runs into Romain Grosjean right at the start
but man, I really hope that doesn't happen.

Roger Wright94 said:They’ll probably both end up with some older alternators.

Look, you put that pretty nicely—but I'm gonna be a bit more blunt since this has been eating at me for a few days now.
Looking at how the standings look, I wouldn't be shocked by some sabotage on Webber's car or just shady race tactics.
It happened back in... 🤔 what year was it again?

Is Red Bull still acting like they're McLaren—you know, pretending both drivers are totally equal? 😁
If it's just talk, fine. But if they actually try to play it that way on track, they're idiots. Their primadonna is already getting twitchy anyway.

Claiming Red Bull Racing has two equal drivers is a joke—just as ridiculous as saying that at Ferrari.
But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they start messing with Webber, especially since he's having a solid year and staying pretty consistent (how many times has he hit 4th place?).
Webber will probably end up remembered just like Barrichello—driving a great car, but having zero chance against his teammate.
Honestly, as much as Alonso works to keep Massa at Ferrari, Vettel can't seem to stomach the idea of his teammate being better than him even once. Too much ego—I don't see that working out for long.

that's just what happens when you're new to the forum
hm, if it rains, who knows—maybe even Felipe Massa😁😁

anyway, let's get serious

I'm banking on one more crazy race, though you've gotta expect Sebastian Vettel on pole—after that, anything could happen
If I had to place a bet, I'd go with Michael Schumacher, maybe Nico Rosberg

neonfox65 said:They really only needed one of those three things—KERS, tires, or DRS. It’s become way too easy to overtake lately.

Personally, I’d say they should have just stuck with last year's tires and ditched the DRS. Almost everyone has KERS by now, so it doesn't give anyone an edge—plus, it helps the environment.

But whatever, this season has been weird as hell, and honestly? I doubt anyone actually knows how Maldonado manages to scrape together some random points and then suddenly pull off a win.
For Pérez and Lotus, it isn't surprising—they've got the pace—but their tire management is just totally bizarre.
I actually preferred the days when we had Michelin and Bridgestone; back then, using Bridgestones felt like a straight-up handicap.
I really thought Alonso was going to take it after Hamilton pitted, especially since he went in for fresh rubber even later than Hamilton and Vettel.

I’m all about F1—no question there. Our guys are just gonna end up losing anyway, so why even bother stressing over it? 😁
