The website still has that notice saying, "We will announce the exact ticket sale start date soon," so this lack of professionalism is likely coming from Ticketmaster rather than the actual festival organizers. If you aren't here in the States or can't make it, look, I'LL BUY A TICKET FOR YOU AS SOON AS THEY GO ON SALE, and I'll even snag one at the student rate 😉

I honestly don't get why everyone manages to turn this into such a massive issue 🙏

Buddy, looks like we’ve met before! 😉 hehe! Personally, I just don't think it's right to announce sales will start in January, then push it to February, then tease Arcade Fire, then say they'll announce the date early next week, and now it just says "soon." Ticketmaster is the partner here, and if the Inmjuzik organizers aren't happy with how the sales are being handled, they could easily demand that electronic tickets be pulled during the rollout. It feels unprofessional toward the customers. Nobody likes being strung along, and it feels like we're kept in this constant state of uncertainty year after year, whereas major US brands like Lollapalooza handle their business properly. That's all I meant to say—I'm not trying to start any drama if that's what you thought; I just wanted to vent my frustration a little bit.
urbannomad30 said:If you buy them through Eventbrite, they should be able to just print them at the venue's merch stands... Honestly, what’s really unprofessional here is that we don't even have tickets yet. We used to complain about them putting things up for sale when they've only announced one (or zero!) artists, and now this. 🙄

I'm just trolling everyone who doesn't hang out on this board much 😁 and sometimes them too 😬
To be honest, I mostly agree with you—it would be better if they brought in bands that haven't played here before, or at least haven't been around recently. Though, I find this sudden attempt at being "objective" a little strange. Personally, I'd always say, WHY DON'T THEY JUST BRING MORRISSEY? I couldn't care less about being objective. 😬

😠
What are you all after now?! 🙂
The festival gets bigger and better organized every single year, and you can really feel the difference.

🤣
This forum is becoming a fun place again 😁

I'd love to see Fleet Foxes, but I highly doubt it... they aren't even close right now. I'd also vote for TVOTR. 😁

edit: PJ Harvey is on tour and a ton of her shows are already sold out... I really hope she extends the tour.

Look, buddy, go ahead and print your own ticket for $130, but as far as I know, tickets have usually been sold at Madison Square Garden, and they were printed there, not home-printed. I've always just gone to Madison Square Garden to grab mine as soon as sales started, like I did last year for the big show. And yeah, it is unprofessional—or at least looks amateurish, regardless of how you put it.
Larry Morales12 said:They seem to be dragging their feet with the tickets this year... I just hope they aren't cooking up some student discount scheme where they require full legal names and everything.
Either they're just waiting to announce another headliner to give people a real reason to pull the trigger on a purchase—since apparently some folks are getting restless seeing tickets on sale without a full lineup confirmed yet.

🤷

Honestly, they’re being totally unprofessional here. It’s a miracle this festival turns out alright every single year. I really hope they don't treat the artists with the same lack of care they're showing the fans.
You can grab tickets through Eventbrite, but there hasn't been a single word about sales at Madison Square Garden yet. If that isn't a lack of professionalism, I don't know what is. My guess? They probably messed up the printing process or some other nonsense like that.👎
Angela Sanders74 said:Also, the Foo Fighters have a new album dropping on April 11th. They're planning to spend most of the tour hitting up various festivals. Mmmmm.. 😍 🙂

Khm, so just to recap once more:

restlessranger30 said:She’s clearly excited about Coachella, but she hasn't been whining "bring them here, bring them here" the way some people do for bands they've seen a hundred times. Sure, people would be thrilled to see The National or Caribou, but it feels a bit silly to demand they show up now if they’re just going to take a slot away from bands that haven't even played an American stage yet—or at least haven't been here recently.

To be honest, I don't think anyone is actually "taking anyone's spot" in this country yet. Our concert scene is still far too young for that kind of gatekeeping. In fact, if anything, you're more likely to see established acts return because they already have a built-in fanbase, rather than seeing brand-new names break through.
Nick Cave, The National, Caribou, Flogging Molly, and similar artists prove my point.
Even if you get more specific about it, that still doesn't necessarily mean you're using pro-grade gear. My point is, I don't think you're a journalist who should be expected to shell out for an accreditation.
Timothy Peterson4 said:Imagine if we had Kings of Leon, Paolo Nutini, and Jack Johnson on one bill... that would be incredible. KOL is just magic. Then you've got Nutini—honestly, he's easily the best young singer-songwriter out there right now. His stuff strikes this perfect balance between being totally fun and pure genius, and man, seeing him live is something else. And Jack? Well, Jack Johnson is just pure sunshine. Can you even imagine a better lineup? : )

You probably won't believe me, but it actually exists.
I have no idea who owns Radar, but this whole thing about Moby being at Burning Man is just...
The upcoming rokajfest is going to be http://www.rokajfest.com/ quite an experience, I reckon.
I think Burning Man is going to be on either May 25th or the 27th. It looks like the FF might be free on the 25th, but they’ll actually be over in the United Kingdom then.
Larry Morales12 said:According to the official festival site: "We will be announcing the exact ticket sale start time shortly."

Look, I'm aware of that, but honestly, it wouldn't be the first time they missed their own deadline for posting updates on the website. It's just how they roll... thanks anyway, northerntrucker2! 😁
Has anyone actually gone out and grabbed their tickets yet? Are they officially on sale?
