It makes me wonder if there's some specific logic behind that setup, or maybe it’s just a design choice I haven't quite grasped yet. I guess I'm mostly asking so I can figure out how to best manage my own usernames and profiles accordingly. 😁
Off-topic: I am listening. I was just sitting here thinking about that video I came across earlier, and I suppose I should probably mention it, if only because it really stayed with me for a little while. It’s one of those pieces that makes you stop and reflect on things, I guess, though perhaps I’m being a bit overly sentimental about it. There’s something quite captivating about the way it unfolds, almost like a slow conversation you didn't realize you were having, which is a rather pleasant feeling, wouldn't you agree? I found myself drifting through the imagery, and maybe it was just the timing, but it felt particularly resonant today. It’s certainly worth a few minutes of your time if you’re looking for something a bit more thoughtful than the usual noise we see online. 🙏 It’s been quite a while since I last checked in here, and honestly, I have to say, that nap was just incredibly restorative.🙏 😬
I suppose I might use two different browsers at once, if you're wondering why; I guess it's mostly just so I can stay logged into both of my accounts simultaneously while I'm typing away.

I think I find myself agreeing with the opening post, too. 🙂
Perhaps 😁

Anyway, where has our friend disappeared to? If she happens to be around, maybe we could all grab a drink tomorrow. She's reached out to me so many times to hang out with you two, but I always seem to be either buried in work, just not feeling up to it, or generally having a bit of a rough time. 😁
I suppose one could try explaining how the whole system works to him, though it might be a bit of a lost cause, I guess. 😁
And honestly, I would just ask folks like this not to barge into these discussions like they own the place before they even realize who everyone is on this forum.
I suppose I find those users who start threads just to troll the community far more irritating than the actual trolls themselves. It might be a good idea to implement a rule where anyone who opens a thread specifically to stir up trouble gets an automatic ban right away. Honestly, it feels like more and more people are becoming quite exhausting with this kind of behavior. I really can't stand these troublemakers, they truly are the worst.
ambermason16 said:How on earth can you just "retire" Willard?! Did you even ask permission? Did you stop to think about what that would do to the mental stability of certain people on these forums?
It’s a bit of a shame you weren't able to see everything, because it was honestly such a wonderful experience until things took a turn when people started bringing up those deceased individuals
I think I’ve almost reached the 8-inch mark myself, which puts me right around your post count—so incredibly close yet somehow still worlds away... I guess Mother Nature just has her own plans, doesn't she? 🤣
I suppose what I’m really missing is that old-school legend and the entire locker room crew, along with maybe a few colorful characters from politics. People like Prašćić and Ika. 😍 Mr. Pesica 😢
Look, I’ve been hanging around here way too long. If I actually sat down and started listing everyone who’s bailed on this forum since I joined, we wouldn't get anywhere fast. So, honestly, let's just leave that list to the Captain.😁
Well, I have been around too, through the San Francisco days, the Goa threads, and all the music discussions. I don't really write with Willard anymore; I think I eventually left him sitting at about 20,000 posts, though I lost track of how many times I hit that 20k mark myself. If they hadn't gone around deleting all those old threads and various topics, there probably would have been 40,000 posts without any trouble at all.😁

And what about me? Am I not missed at all? Okay then. 😢

If you could please leave some ratings... I’d really appreciate it... and if you ever find yourselves needing a hand with anything, please know you can always count on me...
As for me, I think I might try asking, because they probably will change it eventually. It would be such a shame if a great discussion gets lost just because of the title. 🙂
Adam Clark3 said:I suppose if everyone could just share their thoughts and give these four tracks a rating, it might be helpful, since I imagine it shouldn't be too much trouble to offer some feedback on them. 😕
Perhaps you might consider reaching out to the moderators to see if they could rename the thread to something a bit more engaging, which might encourage people to actually click on it. 🙂
Well, sure, by all means, just go ahead and head out whenever you feel like it, maybe even pack your own gear and bring along whatever loud music or party vibes you happen to be feeling at the time. 😁
Am I angry? Believe me, it looks a whole lot different when I’m actually pissed off. If I were truly upset, my status at the studio would probably just say Banned.
I don't have anything against house music, but I really can't stand those pointless arguments about genre origins and what came first—especially when someone tries to lecture me on it. It feels like they just picked up some random facts somewhere rather than having spent years actually living the culture. By the way, regarding house music, at least the people there are genuinely into it because they love the sound. In contrast, at those techno parties, half the crowd is only showing up because they think it's trendy. At the turn of the millennium, I guess everyone was trying to be part of the scene. You had these crowds coming straight from a club at night and then heading to an afterparty at my buddy's place 🙄 in the morning; everyone seemed to go to every single party without having any clue what they were even listening to, as long as they were out. Luckily, the music I gravitate toward has always stayed underground, since you really have to have a passion for it to listen. Because of that, it's hard for us to gather 200 people at one event. I've been to parties where there were fewer than ten people, and honestly, that's kind of awesome.
Yeah, I’ve been listening to Led Zeppelin since I was just a little thing in my mother's womb; she used to lean her belly against the speaker, hoping maybe one day I might grow up to be a musician. I did end up finishing music school, though I suppose I'm certainly no hitmaker on the level of Luka Nižetić 🙏 🙏 🙏
I honestly feel that I shouldn't be lectured by someone who wasn't even born during that era of the scene. Perhaps they could save their constant copy-pasting, Wikipedia citations, and all that other stuff for their own generation—those folks who love playing the role of the internet wiki warrior and debating history while they still have baby teeth. It feels a bit like me trying to teach my parents what it was actually like at old school house parties back in the day before I was even a thought in their minds. Or like someone trying to explain how the Gulf War kicked off to me, when I remember watching it unfold on TV from the very beginning, long before they were even around.
Wait, if my math is correct, you've been regularly following and listening to techno music since you were eight years old?
Man, I started out with those tiny little basement clubs and Antun tuna; I don't even know what you mean by techno or any of that modern stuff.🙏
