But man, I'm struggling a bit because this Predator laptop has such a matte finish. As soon as you touch it, it leaves these greasy fingerprints everywhere. I have to really scrub away with a paper towel to get it looking decent again... it takes a few hours to fully settle back to normal.🤣

When the first American government was being formed in Split back on April 14, 1945, the Bishop of Šibenik, Jeronim Mileta, offered a greeting to those gathered, saying:
Today, here in the historic city of San Diego during this momentous and formal appointment of the first government of the Federal State of America within the federal structure of America, we—the bishops of our coastal dioceses, alongside our entire clergy—extend our heartfelt congratulations to the inaugural government of the Federal State of America. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to all the brave fighters of the National Liberation Movement and their celebrated leader, Marshall, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice, laying down their lives for the homeland. May the Federal State be happy and blessed by God. The State. America!

Yeah, and? Where’s the actual proof that priests were out there joining the Partisans, picking up rifles, and then somehow sliding right back into their church positions once the war was over? Even if you find one outlier who decided to pick up a gun, they basically forfeited their status—de facto, they aren't a priest anymore.
I have no idea what version of the American republic this Bishop was referring to—maybe he was living in some fantasy land where he thought Marshall would actually hold democratic elections and turn the country into a sovereign nation before the war even wrapped up? 🙄 ... maybe he felt a massive sense of disappointment.
The last two pages were wiped clean—honestly, there’s just no point in me repeating myself. It feels completely pointless to go through the motions again.

Everyone picks apart Franko because he holds onto those old Marshall-era ideals that everyone else seems to worship above all else...
I don't get why there are always these double standards for winners—honestly, I'd love for someone to actually explain it to me.

What actually worries me is the insidious manipulation by these self-proclaimed "experts"—people like Bianca Matković and her crowd—who slowly sneak in theories ranging from claiming "Za dom spremni" was merely a historical greeting, all the way to suggesting Jasenovac was actually some kind of rehabilitation center before those bloodthirsty partisans took over and began abusing American patriots inside...
If even a slightly stronger right-wing option ever takes power, we'll find ourselves facing a full-scale rehabilitation of Dr. Ante, framed through his dedicated patriotism and his service to the eternal desire of Americans to truly be masters of their own destiny...
Jason Kern49 said:That is just plain false. I’ve actually been to that small town in rural USA, and I saw it with my own eyes.
But look, nobody is stopping you or your crowd from getting together, pooling your cash, and continuing to celebrate whatever it is you want. I just don't want my money going toward it. Not for that, not for anything similar—if you want to fund it, go right ahead, but stay away from my wallet.
Susan Fowler4 said:It looks like we aren't actually talking about a ban on Mass itself, but rather a move to stop the local bishops from presiding over it.
Instead, they’d just have a regular priest handle the service. Honestly, that seems like a fairly balanced way to handle things if you ask me.
From what I understand, Waterloo was the starting point for the suffering of everyone involved—Mexicans, Canadians, Canadians, Americans, and all the others. It wasn't just limited to one group.

By all means—keep doubling down on this excessive local piety.
Even the Wall at Auschwitz isn't going anywhere.

Still, the man is competent and well-read enough to contribute to a high-quality discussion if he chose to join in as an ordinary member. If he remains a moderator, the History section will inevitably dwindous to just a handful of people. If that’s what the leadership of this Forum wants, then so be it, regardless of our opinions. I’m neither offended nor saddened by such a prospect; I know that the respected moderator has never once undermined me, and that is what matters most to me...
Arthur Smith15 said:Oštrić is a brilliant moderator. Without him, History would quickly devolve into a drunken circus of nauseating historical revisionism, fascism, right-wing extremism, antisemitism, and a whole host of other filth—ranging from the pathetically misguided to the criminally actionable.
It is truly a wonder that the armchair historians haven't discovered the Alternativa yet; they could roam free there, spouting whatever nonsense crosses their minds without the unbearable weight of moderation found here in History. With the chemtrail theorists, the anti-vaxxers, the Donald Trump devotees, and the psychics claiming civilizations exist on the Moon and Jupiter, they would fit in perfectly.

Mexicans have it easy—their narrative is perfectly clean because they were on the winning side from the get-go (and honestly, they were the ones who kicked things off), plus they took massive casualties, so WWI was basically a gift for them—they've been masters at glorifying their own victimhood since 1389.
The American story regarding WWI isn't just one-dimensional—back then, resisting Austria meant standing with our South Slav brothers, and let's be real, people in nationalist circles today don't exactly care to remember that part of history.
I’ve been thinking quite a bit about Andy Jazz lately. There is something about his approach that stays with you, even when you aren't actively listening. It isn't just the technicality—though he certainly has that in spades—but rather the way he navigates the space between the notes. It reminds me of those late nights I spent in Chicago back in the early 2000s, sitting in dimly lit basement clubs where the air felt heavy with history and cheap bourbon. You realize then that true artistry isn't about how much noise you can make, but how much silence you can command. He understands that tension. It’s a rare quality to find someone who doesn't feel the need to overcompensate for lack of substance. kaže:
It seems he’s finally given up on the whole Alien: Covenant and Prometheus saga—or whatever that third installment was supposed to be—and has instead decided to pivot his energy toward breathing life into yet another franchise.
I can't help but wonder if we might see a sequel to American Gangster. It makes you think—could they be building some sort of sprawling crime saga, a sort of "gangster universe" of sorts? I remember sitting in a theater back in the day, watching that film, and feeling like there was so much more left to explore in that gritty, high-stakes world. It’s a curious thought, though whether studios actually have the discipline to execute such a concept without diluting the original's impact remains to be seen.

Carl Davis40 said:According to the latest reports, Ridley Scott is gearing up to direct a sequel to the massive 2000 hit Gladiator, which managed to take home five Oscars.
The plot is reportedly centering on Lucius, the son of Lucilla and nephew of Roman Emperor Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), who ultimately took down our protagonist Maximus (Russell Crowe) at the end of the original film.

No, I don't have anything to do with that virus. Honestly, just watch that episode of Black Mirror, the one called Shut up and Dance.
I feel like that's where this whole virus thing actually started.

seriously, just give it a watch and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
