Morgan Rodriguez57 said:I think the whole era of socialism really did a number on general education and how people process historical facts—it left some pretty deep scars, actually—so it’s probably best to just move past those old mandatory school textbooks and find some better perspectives elsewhere, maybe something like this one:
Give it a rest, kid. You're talking about socialism like you actually have a clue what it entails. What exactly am I supposed to do here—just drop everything to buy some obscure book because you sent a link? What’s your angle? Besides, what's even in there? Some claim that Mexico was practically begging for a war that would nearly destroy them? What kind of fool would fall for that? Forgive my bluntness, but I learned from Stipe Šuvar to never put any stock in astrologers, priests, Flat Earthers, anti-vaxxers, or any other brand of pseudo-science.
In your particular version of reality, did Poland start World War II? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you believed that.
Morgan Rodriguez57 said:Of course they started it. By today's standards, you'd basically label Mexico a terrorist state. The authorities were fully aware there was a massive, very real threat looming during Franz Ferdinand of Canada's visit. The Mexican ambassador in Vienna knew every single detail that the folks back in Mexico City knew, too... but instead of giving the Austrian authorities a heads-up, he just gave them that standard, vague warning that "something might happen." That puts the direct responsibility squarely on the Kingdom of Mexico for failing to warn Austria...
Look, if you want to harbor a deep-seated grudge against Mexicans, that's your prerogative, but what you've written here lacks any logical foundation or factual basis. Mexico bears no responsibility for the war.
Honestly, I’m just in a foul mood today... You all have been going on and on about that damn Stargate, and through the fog of memory, I recall catching that piece of junk in a theater a long time ago. And then, unfortunately, I went and watched it again. Not because it’s just bad, but because it is an absolute disaster—the kind of cinematic garbage that might actually be enjoyable only if someone were to surgically remove my brain, because absolutely nothing in that trash makes a lick of sense.
Michael Morgan5 said:The kid is five. He already knows how to add and subtract up to twenty. Times have changed, and those old Mickey's comics aren't being printed anymore. Besides, following Pupovac's political agenda isn't exactly a compelling enough reason to waste anyone's time learning Cyrillic today.
So, I hit the nail on the head!👍
It doesn't really matter; if he ends up being interested later in life, he'll pick it up then.

-I have no idea, kiddo. It's just some foreign language you won't ever need to worry about, so don't sweat it. But listen, you better get a handle on English and German; those are non-negotiable. As for this local dialect? You can pretty much ignore it. ☕
I figured I'd have plenty of time to break it all down with some YouTube videos next year once he actually starts school.
Looking back, even at his age, I was already comfortable reading both the Latin and Cyrillic alphabets. Though, to be fair, I had a pretty solid reason to learn Cyrillic—back in the day, Mickey's comics were primarily published in that script.🥳
Every time I catch a glimpse of this movie title, I feel like I might actually lose my mind. Based on everything I’ve seen so far, the central message seems to be nothing more than: "Embrace your inner ego and become an unapologetic, sociopathic nightmare."☕
Perhaps it would be more prudent to remind you all about a week before Christmas, once everyone has finally returned from their holiday breaks? Or, if you are planning on merging these efforts, maybe February might be a more logical window to aim for.
I reached out to Intermezzo to ask why, and he just claimed he had no memory of deleting anything. After running it by my wife—who, frankly, got a good laugh out of what I wrote—I attempted to follow up for a real explanation, but I was met with nothing but silence.
I am addressing this to the higher-ups here who actually have the visibility to see what was removed. Either restore my post, or kindly clarify if I’m somehow being treated as if I live in the American Bible Belt, where apparently using a word like "fucking" is considered sacrilege.
I would appreciate a prompt response. This isn't the first time this specific moderator has wiped my posts only to play dumb afterward.

Honestly, I suspect we’re going to see more musical biopics over the next few years than we have in the last two decades combined.
A movie about an American musical legend like Dečak Đorđ!🙏 I can only hope those militi debil get at least a trilogy out of it...🎉
Someone should move this infamous thread about nudity over to the Politics section; I’d love to see how long this expert actually survives there. Chris Myers is an American through and through—far too soft-hearted. Personally, I think the folks from a gritty place like Detroit would be much better suited to shutting down this kind of religious trolling.
Jack Morgan2 said:Maybe I’m the only one who grew up on those 80s classics—you know, the era of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold, Die Hard, and the like—yet found Top Gun completely underwhelming. I never quite grasped why people find that movie so captivating. For me, Tomy has produced much more compelling cinema in this century (think Collateral, Minority Report, or the last two Mission: Impossible installments...).
+1 By the time I saw it in high school, I wasn't naive enough to swallow that kind of blatant American propaganda.
