Looking for a Chrome recommendation... in Software ·
I honestly lost it laughing when I saw that

It’s pretty funny seeing big-shot Microsoft (TM) actually suggesting that something else might be better than their own software

Mark my words, we definitely need to remember this date😁

😁 Honestly, it’s a bit shallow. It feels like one of those popcorn movies—you watch it, enjoy the ride, and then immediately forget it exists.
The showdown between Hector and Achilles was solid, and that initial Greek assault on the Trojan defenses had some real tension. But the rest of it? Just okay, I guess...
Though, seeing those hints of an Odyssey at the end... well, let's just hope they get it right next time. 😁

Let's just pray they don't mess up the Odyssey too, because that would be a tragedy...😠

I smoked for about four years, going through roughly two packs a day. Back when I couldn't afford them, I used to roll my own. My little spittoon was pretty much my trademark back then.
Eventually, I quit—by force, really—because I was traveling abroad and completely broke. I have to say, while I was smoking, I felt sick all the time; sinus issues, lung problems... the withdrawal process itself was absolutely brutal, though it did pass after three or four days.
I haven't touched a cigarette in about three years now.
But the cravings still hit me sometimes... I honestly don't think I'll ever truly get rid of those impulses.

You simply won't believe it—the first woman I've ever heard of who actually rolled her own... 🙂

John Palmer4 said:Of course, but since we’re all big proponents of using legitimate software here, I think it’s worth mentioning the price tag too, don't you? 😁

absolutely... 😬

It really depends on the person, because for some people, price isn't even the deciding factor (honestly, certain things end up being much more affordable than they initially appear 😉 )...

Honestly, efficiency isn't even going to be a factor here since we're talking about a difference of maybe 0.5% at most. In my opinion, you should really just focus on which one feels more intuitive and user-friendly...

Henry Anderson47 said:I’ve been noticing that everyone on this forum keeps calling Paris a "coward." Seriously, people, this guy actually took down Achilles! This man literally set fire to (and seduced) the King's wife! Before he even had a chance to wet his pants, he was out there facing off against that same King's legendary warrior! He might be a weakling, but "coward" just doesn't fit him. (And no, I'm not gay. No, I'm not some huge fan of "pretty boy" Orlando.) 😁

He totally is a coward, though, because he needed Aphrodite's help just to run off with the Queen (instead of his own brother), and let's be honest, he's a coward because he wouldn't have even touched Achilles if Apollo hadn't guided that arrow for him.
And that little coward spent the whole time hiding away in the city, letting his brother fight all his battles for him. The only actual combat he saw was from behind the walls when he let Apollo aim that shot...

They play these staples at almost every single concert: Creeping Death (from the '84 album), Battery (1986), Master of Puppets (1986), Blackened (1988), One (1988), Enter Sandman (1991), Fuel (1997), and those two from St. Anger, Frantic and St. Anger. Those songs are absolute legends, and while the rest of the setlist varies from show to show, it's mostly old stuff! These guys are true icons. For those of you who won't be able to make it, here’s a tip: if you want a high-quality recording of the show (audio), head over to http://www.livemetallica.com once the concert wraps up. You can buy the recording and choose your format (either mp3 or FLAC)—the quality is absolutely flawless!

BTW
I'm heading to see Metallica; I grabbed my ticket the second they went on sale, and I'm definitely going to snag a recording of the show online! 🙂

Their music is perfect, but there is absolutely no way in hell I'm handing any money over to those greedy bastards, whether it's for a concert or anything else. Once a group becomes that much of a bunch of money-grubbing vultures, I'm completely done with them. Especially since they used to preach the exact opposite; honestly, Metallica is just the biggest band of hypocrites and greedy opportunists out there. I'm actually quite relieved that I don't own any original merch or anything from them...

Zelda said:Quick question for anyone who’s attended major stadium shows before: how much of a head start do I need to get a decent spot? Is it even worth grabbing a ticket if you can hear everything from outside the gates? Also, just how massive is that stadium in San Jose? Thanks!

If you're really aiming to be right up against the stage, you’ll want to get there at least 5 or 6 hours early...

I’d honestly love to catch Metallica in concert, but since they’ve become such greedy bastards lately, I have zero interest in supporting anything original from them. I'm definitely skipping the show...
Let those greedy thugs just go on their way! ✌️

Benjamin Stewart82 said:Oh man, oh man...🙄 I quit smoking for a month, but then I just picked it right back up like nothing ever happened... I think I need to find something else to do with my hands instead of holding a cigarette while I'm sitting around—maybe grabbing a coffee somewhere. 😁 Also, maybe I should stop walking to those coffee shops entirely, because if I did that, I’d probably solve problem A at the same time. 😕 And finally, I really need to start hanging out with people who don't smoke; whenever someone lights up next to me, there's a pretty high chance I'll follow suit too... hmm... how on earth am I supposed to force myself to do all these things?

a. Maybe you're just making excuses because you can't keep your hands still! ;P
b. Trust me, you definitely wouldn't want to do that.
c. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all when someone smokes near me without bothering me; I haven't touched a cigarette in a year and three months now.

At the end of the day, all you really need to do is get your head in the right place and decide that you aren't smoking anymore. It won't be easy, but that's the only way you'll actually succeed... you can't just distract yourself with excuses about what to do with your hands and such...

Best regards...😉

Even after being smoke-free for a year and a month now, I still find myself having those dreams where I'm smoking...

ambertiger4 said:Ugh, after managing two and a half months without a single hiccup, I hit my first major crisis this past Saturday! It was a big social gathering where everyone was smoking—I saw cigarettes everywhere, smelled smoke in every corner... I actually felt that sudden, overwhelming urge to light up for the very first time! To make matters worse, a friend was even offering me cigars, acting like it was no big deal, just "come on, it's nothing"... honestly, you call that a friend?! 🙄 😁 But I held my ground; I didn't give in! Though, I have to admit, the air was so thick and suffocating that it felt like I had already smoked at least two or three cigarettes myself...

P.S. I’m also counting down the days until I hit my first full year smoke-free! Kudos to you, man... 👍

After being smoke-free for a while now, those cravings tend to hit me here and there. Most often, they creep up when I'm just sitting around by myself doing absolutely nothing. When I'm out and about, the only time they really get to me is when I'm working the entrance at the club... basically, if I'm idle and bored, that's when the struggle starts...

You probably won't hit a crisis just because you're hanging out with smokers; it’s more likely going to happen because it's 👋the second day

I’ve already put on three pounds. 🙂 I’ve been baking cookies just to pass the time since I can't get out of the house—this flu is absolutely wrecking me.

Paul Ramirez6—that is fantastic news! My partner quit as well, and honestly, life feels so much lighter now. We both notice how much better the house smells without that stale smoke hanging around. He’s actually more energetic than I am, which is saying something, considering he smoked for 22 years... he had quite the collection, similar to Amy Smith's.

Here is a suggestion: take the money you would have spent on cigarettes every single day and set it aside in a separate account. It really is a massive motivator. The two of us have already tucked away 90 dollars. 😵 When we sat down to do the math, we realized that what we spent on smoking last year could have easily paid for a two-week luxury vacation.

I used to go through two packs a day.
So if you do the math, that’s roughly about $200 a month. You end up wasting money left and right; even if you aren't thinking about your health, you should definitely think about your wallet (we're talking nearly $2400 over the course of a year).
