It really isn't that much... back when ZZ Top was touring, tickets were priced way higher.$133 Now, prices for Metallica have actually dropped, and for Lenny Kravitz, they're even lower.😁

ZZ Top used to be $67, so if someone actually managed to flip them to you for 400, they’re a total 😬

So I just heard some rumor that for the Lenny Kravitz show, they aren't even letting people onto the lawn, just the bleachers.

Yeah... I'm really not feeling like dropping $110 for Metallica—especially if they're just gonna play stuff from St. Anger mixed with a few classics from the Black Album anyway.

$110 That money could be put to much better use... 🙄

They only play two songs from St. Anger.
To be fair, they switch up the setlist quite a bit; it’s not like they’re playing the exact same routine every single night.

The fact that Lollapalooza—running from June 23rd to 27th, 2004, at MetLife Stadium—is going to be a spectacle rarely seen in this country is already evident from the sheer scale of the production logistics.
To give you an idea, the stage alone is 70 meters wide by 30 meters deep. We're talking 18 semi-trucks just to get the basic setup there, and it'll take a crew four full days to prep the stage for Lenny Kravitz and Metallica. Before Lenny Kravitz even hits the stage, they’re dropping off another 15 trucks of gear, which 80 technicians from Lenny's crew will spend hours assembling. Then there's Metallica. Their production is moving in with 15 tour buses, 22 trucks packed with sound and lighting equipment, and a massive army of 120 technicians who'll be grinding for two days straight, supported by 20 riggers and 250 workers.

It looks like we're in for a serious pyrotechnic display too; local pyro companies have been brought in, and they're even setting up a dedicated storage container for the explosives. Since the members of Metallica don't leave a single thing to chance, they’re bringing their own private chef and a full catering company to San Jose. They'll have a massive 40m x 10m tent and a specialized refrigerated truck just for their food. To keep everyone at Lollapalooza safe, there will be over 250 security personnel on duty.

For those traveling from out of state or anyone who just doesn't want to leave San Jose during the five-day stretch, camping will be available right next to the stadium. There's plenty of reason to stick around for the whole run, especially with a massive Lollapalooza tent being set up to provide food and entertainment. The organizers are even planning some musical surprises inside for the fans.
