2014 Monaco Grand Prix Recap & Discussion in Formula 1 ·
Just look at them. Instead of actually discussing the intense rivalry brewing between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, or celebrating Charles Leclerc grabbing those first career points, they’re wasting their breath on these tiny, insignificant details.

Are we talking about actual points here, or just speculation!?

I’m hearing rumors that Caterham might actually snatch their first points!?

Honestly, it was pretty terrible—actually, calling it a disaster might be an understatement.

What browser are you all running? I’ve been finding it nearly impossible to even load the forum over the last few days—which, honestly, isn't the worst thing in the world, but it's Grand Prix weekend!
Anyway, Mozilla has been an absolute disaster for me, and IE is only marginally better. I haven't given Chrome a shot yet, assuming the browser itself isn't part of the problem.
Is it just me, or have these two weeks between races felt significantly longer than usual?

I'm with you 100% there. Honestly, I never really understood what all the fuss was about in the first place.

Seriously, Uma Thurman is just... wow!

This might honestly be the best thing ever written on this entire forum.

I mean, who’s going to be the first one to add this to their signature? Actually, if you ask me, it really should be mandatory.

You see, during those fleeting seconds when gravity was doing its heavy lifting and he was plummeting toward the earth, Megan Jones3 caught a glimpse of it all—the straining, the emergence, and the sudden vanishing of cosmic strings. All the profound clarity regarding the birth of the universe simply evaporated in that single millisecond when his face met the dust without warning.

It’s like a gritty Western, just without the quantum physics.

What an absolutely abysmal and pathetic way to wrap things up. Honestly, those lines were just brain-dead. It was decent enough as mindless entertainment for a while, but let's be real—OHF was way better.

Does our city have a local funeral director on hand?

Maybe I'm ALIVE!

Here’s one that fits perfectly—it’s got that revolver-slinging vibe. Honestly, the whole album tells the story of an outlaw's life out in the Wild West.

Certain kind of fool

He was a poor boy, raised in a small family
He kinda had a craving for somethin' no one else could see
They say that he was crazy,
The kind that no lady should meet
He ran out to the city and wandered around in the street
He wants to dance, oh yeah,
He wants to sing, oh yeah,
He wants to see the lights a flashin' and listen
to the thunder ring

He saw IT in a window
The mark of a new kind of man
He kinda liked the feeling, so shiny and smooth in his hand
He took it to the country and practiced for days without rest
And then one day he felt if,
He knew he could stand with the best

They got respect, oh yeah,
He wants the same, oh yeah,
And it's a certain kind of fool who
Like to hear the sound of his own name
Oo...

A poster on a storefront, the picture of a wanted man
He had a reputation spreading like fire throughout the land
It wasn't for the money, at least it didn't start that way
It wasn't for the runnin', but now he's runnin' everyday

I’m looking to push forward on my path of absolute mayhem and destruction, channeling my inner zombie cowboy, waiting for the white sorcerer Joža Bistranski to rise again and lead the charge.

Maybe there's a slim chance of making a run at Bottas, but that’s about as far as it goes.🤷

Do you really think so? Personally, I'm inclined to believe he's finally cooled off.

It wasn't that Kimi left them enough room; it was that they actually gave him space.
And honestly, I really respect that move on their part. If they had just stayed a bit more open—rather than bunching up so tightly to the right—there would have been contact, and who knows how that would have ended?
When you pull off a maneuver like Kimi did, you're essentially putting your fate in the hands of the person you're overtaking.
It was brave, sure, but it was also incredibly tight and frankly, quite lucky.

Exactly—it takes two to tango.
Maldonado has become as calm as a summer breeze; he’s stayed remarkably out of trouble this season without any major incidents.

Kimi is definitely the first name that comes to mind when discussing the race, naturally alongside Sebastian and Fernando.

Check out these photos of legendary drivers through the years, captured behind the wheel of their iconic cars.

I have a bad feeling about how things are shaping up today.😛
Nathan Fisher24 said:Look, Fernando is a maestro, truly one of the best drivers out there, but I really think people are overdoing it with the worship.
I mean, what was actually so legendary about it? Sure, he had a great launch, and maybe he
got away a tiny fraction of a second faster than the rest, but it wasn't exactly a cinematic masterpiece.
If you watch the onboard footage from his perspective, it’s just straight throttle and a perfectly smooth line without any crazy maneuvering before the first corner. He basically got lucky because everyone ahead of him—Romain Grosjean, Mark Webber, and Lewis Hamilton—were too busy fighting, blocking, and tripping over each other to stop him. It made his job significantly easier... There's no denying it was a clean start, but does it really deserve 800 smiley faces and endless hype?
It would be such a refreshing change if we could actually have a civilized discussion about F1 on this forum
instead of constantly wading through these petty arguments about "dirty driving," "whining," "cheating," or who the "real champions" are...
I’m not even a fan of Fernando, but I don't find it hard to admit he's the best. So why can't
everyone else look at race situations with a bit more objectivity, or at least a little more realism? If Vettel was faster today by, say, "two seconds per lap," who's to say that's entirely down to the car? Isn't it theoretically possible that the car was only providing 1.8 seconds of that advantage, and Vettel himself squeezed out that extra 0.2? 🤷

You must be new around here.
