I think I know, though I probably shouldn't say.🙂
I am not entirely certain what I am doing here, but I suppose I should share my impressions on the forum:

The first day was characterized by subpar sound quality across both stages, and I would rather not even comment on the drink lines; we were all bracing for the worst until an angel appeared out of the darkness carrying a bundle of napkins.

Dolls were decent, despite the terrible audio. As for the eclectic programming... well, it was fine, though I could only tolerate that vocalist for perhaps ten minutes. I believe she was accompanied by another woman? Sonic Youth was truly excellent, even for my somewhat unrefined tastes. However, one wonders what that woman seeks when she has already exerted herself so much, mastering bass techniques with such an irritatingly excessive flourish, reminiscent of some aging folk performer in a never-before-seen Sarah Kane play. Is Lee Ranaldo perhaps feeling a bit awkward? Perhaps Thurston could have a quiet word with her.

Hold Steady delivered what might be considered the concert of the year. I have a certain affinity for geeks who act cool while playing harmonies in thirds; I find it quite easy to relate to. Finn stood there shouting at us in the front row without a microphone, insisting that one ought to remain positive. I have taken this advice very seriously. I shall endeavor to comply.

Asian Dub Foundation... well. I saw a man in town today selling watches on the street corner who bore a slight resemblance to their drummer. 😬

I went to see them simply because everyone else did, and even a local music critic mentioned they were good. In truth, the twenty minutes I managed to endure were quite interesting. Eventually, the pumping bass became somewhat bothersome, as if I were trapped inside a disco record, so I departed.

As for the Stooges... I am reading the comments and I am somewhat confused. Did we attend two different concerts? I suppose the new material is poor, Iggy looks remarkably like Anthony Kiedis' father, and Asheton seems weary. But the performance? They played through the whole Funhouse set—loudly and perhaps a bit too fast. Iggy sang beautifully, and Mike Watt looked as though he were preparing to bomb a bridge with his bass guitar. TV Eye, 1970, and Wannya Be Your Dog with Mackay 🙏 were, for me, the highlight of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival alongside Hold Steady; a very pleasant surprise. If I have already accepted the reality of watching a band that is a century old, things could not have gone better...

Oh, and this morning, I saw an Antifa supporter driving a Golf with a bracelet on his wrist. He didn't even notice it was there, yet you indie types seem to make such a fuss over those little things.🙂
Subliminal messaging? I suppose... maybe just buy me a beer instead.

🤣 I suppose all that study of Indology and Armenian history won't help him now, since maybe Willie can just guide him back to the right path online 🙂

Christian Wright3 said:Well, isn't that just wonderful. I actually went through the trouble of joining this forum just to celebrate this news.

Listen to him—joining a forum now.😬 🙂 You certainly picked a convenient spot to chime in.

I suppose The Hold Steady is better than Stooges, Exclamation, Sonny Cute, and the late Nydolls combined.🙂

so, who's actually showing up? maybe it's Dan Stein or Darren White? if it turns out to be Darren, I suppose things might get a little wild.

👍
So, by pure chance, I happened to witness the Street Team's midnight operation yesterday. It was part of the Internet Director's viral marketing campaign and Susan Jones's real-time organization, so I suppose it couldn't have been a bad experience.👍 😬

Copy/paste of the press release from Cato LLC:

An inspection last night shut down Papillon along with all the vessels stationed on Riverside Drive. It appears that Papillon will likely remain closed for thirty days. All scheduled programs are being canceled. I suppose Cato offers its deepest apologies to its loyal patrons.

IVANKA M. (Stampedo)

some notable facts:
- the average woman says about 7,000 words a day, whereas the average man barely manages 2,000
- Wilma Kremenko's maiden name is Shaghoopal
- pain travels at a speed of about 0.6 miles per second
- a termite colony can live for 50 years and bring 30,000 offspring into the world every single day
- the doll Barbie's full name is actually Barbara Millicent Roberts
- well, that's just how it is, I suppose
- one would have to scream continuously for 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days to generate enough energy to brew a cup of coffee, though if you are lucky with your partner, you might just ask nicely and she will make it for you

The music starts around 9:30 PM: be there or be there!

I suspect it might be Grgić.

Watch out, Jim Bob James; if I happen to track down those karate, Mogwai, and Explosions in the Sky records at the thrift store this Monday, you might find yourself tossed into the river. Just being polite, of course.

Brane, should we perhaps ask Barb Renata to help us co-sign that loan for the big purchase? 😬

Here is the most unhinged press release I’ve come across lately. The author is essentially the mastermind behind this entire spectacle—a self-proclaimed rock guru and retired music critic by the name of A.P.

The Papillon Culture Club and Ćato are proud to present:

Well, that was amusing, I suppose.

Perhaps we might gather this coming Monday, February 21st, at Papillon near the levee.

12. 3.
Ha! America. I suppose I might just sit here waiting for the sunrise while the sounds of American blues fill the air; they say that an American guitar carries more power than anything else, or so I've heard.

The lineup includes:
Mettesi
www.dancingbear.com

So, Springsteen and Dylan were browsing through Kmart once, and I guess Bruce turns to Bruce Bob and asks him, "How exactly do they manage to slash these prices so much? Is it some kind of voodoo or something?"
If you’re an American Canadian, people say you wouldn't know a diamond from a telescope even if they were hanging right in front of you—as Dylan might put it. I suppose I'd love to just teleport you over to America so you could head down to Papillon, catch a Mettesi set, and actually learn something.
"I wonder if little Kumerle might join him to play a few tunes?" Bruce mused.
"What's it going to be?" Dylan asks.
What exactly are we waiting for? Beam us up, Scotty!

I suppose one might say the baby has been stolen.

I suppose this link leads to a profile for a specific band on SoundClick. It seems like a place where one might stumble upon some independent music, I guess.

Every day, Robert Johnson stops by the crossroads to find B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, the Allman brothers, and some scrawny British guy named Eric waiting in line. I guess Robert just asks them, "What's going on, guys? What brings you all here today?"
I suppose the Devil is pulling the strings here—it seems young Eric is being rather difficult about actually delivering what he promised.
Interestingly, I never really had any trouble with him, I suppose, Robert muttered to himself.
Through the deafening roar of electric feedback, an elegant gentleman in a black suit with deep crimson accents emerged before them.
Come on, who's next? We don't have all day... B. B. King, you're up first.
B. B. King—or rather, let's correct that to the humble, stout African American gentleman.
"Phew, blues, rock, country... it’s all the same to me," I suppose. He gave a theatrical wave of his hand, looking almost disdainful, before slamming a B.B. King record right against my forehead. "There! Now you love it!"

Matko Buddy Moose I suppose I should mention BRANE. Casual Elvis

I suppose if Merle Haggard were to pay a visit to Townes van Zandt, the man would likely just sit there in silence. Imagine Merle sitting down on the couch next to him, lighting up a cigarette, and simply nodding at the cat while they both sit there for hours, lost in thought. It might even be getting dark by then when Merle—being careful, because you never truly know what Townes is thinking—finally breaks the quiet and asks, "So, buddy, how's it going?"
"Psst!" Townes might say that quite quickly, I suppose.
"What? Who?" Merle asks, looking somewhat unsettled.
"Shh, quiet now," Townes whispered. "The mandolin is about to play... or maybe it isn't."
A mandolin, I suppose?
That mandolin... I mean, where on earth did you find that? It’s almost as if it was born from the hands of a true Southerner. Whenever the wind carries the sound of a mandolin from the marshlands, I guess even Elvis might burst into the room, raining down songs from the heavens.
Good grief, what exactly have you been taking? I wonder if there might be a little bit left over for me.

He plays the original American music:
Jim Bob James

I suppose there might have been some sort of jam session occurring.
It probably isn't worth trying to bet against that.

The performance is scheduled to begin at 9:30 PM, so I suppose it might be wise not to be late. Admission is free, and I imagine the entertainment will be quite invaluable.

Ha! It seems they're making an announcement:
March 19th. A minor key—it seems like an evening destined for some decent rock music.
March 26th. Ha! Nu-men: 'women are nu men'—it almost sounds like a manifesto for a matriarchy, I suppose.
I honestly haven't the slightest clue who this Michael Pantton person is supposed to be. Is he the one from Faith No More? Because, I suppose, Jesus doesn't really remind me of Faith No More at all. 😕

I had a wonderful time, actually. Though, I find Canadians to be a bit like reading Proust while being force-fed an IV drip. Because of them, and them alone, I seem to be nursing a rather heavy hangover from that murky water they served at NPR.

🙂 I suppose I’d like that too.🙂

And now everyone is collectively agreeing that the best heavy metal band in the Southeast is in Kset. 🙂
I suppose I should probably offer some sort of greeting, though I am not entirely sure if it is necessary.

It isn't exactly what one would call a Rotary Club😁 but we are making progress, I suppose. Just a few months ago, Roger Jones5 couldn't have told you who Gram Parsons was, and Steven Hernandez9's drummer was strictly a Radiohead fan. Then, during a van ride down to Los Angeles for a concert where GP was playing, the drummer starts singing along to the chorus of Streets of Baltimore, and Roger Jones5 asks if that’s the one with In My Hour of Darkness😎

Firefighters, please stop hogging all the bandwidth!

Here is a little list to prevent this from going off-topic. The first things that come to mind are:
My top three spinach dishes:
1. My mom's homemade spinach pie
2. Spinach turnovers from that spot near the University of Chicago campus
3. Spinach pastries from the bakery on Broadway

I suppose the world could have functioned perfectly fine without my list.🙄
