The whole movie gave me Camus vibes, specifically Meursault. It’s the same deal there, because Ed is also a total outsider. Even though everyone knows him, even though he's defined entirely by his job, he's just Brice and nothing else. Yeah, there's no way he's some cold-blooded killer; he's just Brice, an ordinary guy, just a regular modern man as the lawyer would put it
All in all, a total genius film👍

Andrew Martinez11 is right about one thing. How much you dig a band is totally subjective. I’d take someone who knows just a few tracks but actually feels them over those posers who act like they're writing a thesis when you ask what they listen to... it's exhausting. It reminds me of this kid listening to Blink-182 and laughing at how they were trying to be hip, only to have some hardcore punk elitist stomp over and start lecturing him... "you don't get it, it's too commercial, have you even heard their underground stuff?" blah blah blah...

It’s way worse now because kids only listen to stuff because it’s "cool" to be seen with it, whereas we listened to it—and still do—just because we actually liked the music.
It’s a total disaster. You see some kid in a System of a Down shirt, ask him his favorite track, and he just shouts "Chop Suey!" like a robot... then you ask him about anything on the first album and he just stares at you blankly, looking like he's wondering if they even released anything besides Chop Suey?!?!

Yeah, I get it. I can't do that either, but some people? They just can. They hear two songs and suddenly they're telling everyone it's their favorite band ever.
