Maybe I just didn't get it, though. I can see why the Tarantino fans are obsessed; I'm just not one of them, so his little stylistic quirks felt predictable rather than surprising or thrilling. No matter how much of a divine revelation this might seem to some of you, for me, it landed exactly where I expected it to.

Honestly, even Kill Bill isn't going to be the perfect masterpiece for everyone—I'd argue it's really only the "best" when you're looking at it through a Tarantino lens.

Look, I didn't walk out feeling like I'd seen a religious vision either. I'm not some fanatic who would kill for Tarantino, I just happen to enjoy his work. Some of those old-school tropes were easy enough to spot if someone pointed them out, but if you weren't looking, they practically vanished into thin air.
Who ever said Kill Bill was the ultimate masterpiece for every single person? Total nonsense.😳

I didn't really care for it. It’s an uncomfortable watch—heavy on the violence and anxiety on one hand, and cluttered with those "I'm-so-Tarantino-and-I'm-so-cool" tropes lifted straight from his previous stuff on the other. It feels like Tarantino was caught in a tug-of-war between trying to make something meaningful and making something completely mindless. The movie attempts to be dead serious in some spots while mocking everything in others. While it might be worth a theater trip, it isn't exactly memorable. It doesn't even come close to being as good as hellish junk; it's just a self-indulgent effort from a self-important director.

If Tarantino's whole goal was to be inconsistent, he really should have been consistent about that.

Old man Tarantino is at it again, basically being his own legend!!!

A bunch of people told me, "Look, this is the kind of flick you're either going to absolutely hate or fall head over heels for..." Well, I fell for it immediately!
From the opening frame to the credits, I was glued to every single scene, every bit of dialogue, every movement, and every single drop of blood (okay, maybe not *every* drop, there was way too much damn blood to count).
We all know Tarantino is a master... I've always wondered what his next project would look like and if it could ever top his previous work, and now I have my answer!!!1 I honestly can't imagine anyone making a better film than this—and I don't just mean within this genre. It covers everything from Bruce Lee style kung fu brawls and gritty American dramas to Russian adaptations of Tolstoy and British documentaries, all wrapped up in that pure Tarantino surrealism (plus plenty of those intentional TRASH scenes and elements)!!!!!1 I might be talking a bit too much, but I'm still riding that high!!!!(If I had a katana handy, I'd probably go slice something up...!)

By the way, did anyone else notice that in his movies, nobody is actually a "good guy"?

Why are we even debating those idiots? They have zero connection to music—it's not that they can't carry a tune, but all that Story super nov garbage exists solely for profit and cheap headlines. There’s no way it’s going to spawn a quality act, let alone a legit rock or metal band. We aren't going to see that happen here. Honestly, we shouldn't even worry about them embarrassing the rock and metal scenes, because they're fundamentally incapable of ever becoming part of it.
