Starting at 14:15, this clip is from the derby back on December 16, 2018.

And isn't it just great?

I honestly feel like—judging by how those scarves and flags look—you guys should probably be doing this way more often.

Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

Just a quick little question... (or maybe a suggestion...)

I think you guys make the absolute best supporter scarves out there—honestly, they’re number one in America in my book...

The whole scarf wave thing and singing "our flags and our scarves waving high" was last seen up in the North Stand... that was just last year, right?

So, why not bring it back? It's not like scarves are outdated or anything—I know some people say the newer generation only goes for the patches and badges, but I don't really buy that. Even if they did, how could that be an issue when you currently have five different types of amazing scarves in the shop, each better than the last?

Thanks, and have a good one! John

Sorry if I'm jumping into an already pretty intense debate here—just wanted to drop a quick note so nobody ends up heading out at the wrong time. The futsal match (that second playoff game) this Saturday at the box actually kicks off at 7:30 PM, not 8:00 PM.

as they say:
They just posted the info regarding membership here: https://www.mls-official-site.com/membership

Thanks.

Sorry if I'm overstepping here... but is it possible the club is pushing back membership until 2019 because of those DTSM initiatives involving the same group of members?

fyi — the Kansas City Chiefs actually kicked off their membership back in December 2018.

(Luckily, we have memberships available for the futsal team and the supporter groups, but what’s the deal with the main club over at Maksimir?)

Does anyone happen to have any info on when the club might finally get its act together and actually start opening things up
for 2019 membership?

Thanks!

Douglas Gray8 said:I'm curious—how much does it actually sting when you get roasted by a BBB fan? thanks 😁

Probably hurts a little less than yesterday, but definitely more than it will tomorrow 😉

Anthony Baker84 said:damn... you guys act like you've never seen women in swimsuits before—acting like a bunch of 12-to-15-year-old kids—even though looking at the group, there are plenty of grown adults over 50 here too (it's honestly embarrassing)

I find the headline "Terrible Accusations..." and the subsequent line in the subheader about how they "ran wild and sexually assaulted women in Washington, D.C." pretty incredible—especially when the actual article just mentions "hands on butts" and one rude (well, crude, primitive, whatever you want to call it) shout...

If you just glance at the headline, you’d think dozens of women were raped and an entire beach resort was leveled...

Geez...

Honestly, I'm not trying to defend them—they probably acted stupidly, childishly, and just plain primitive—but "terrible accusations" and "running wild and sexually abusing"? I mean, come on, that feels like a massive stretch...

I'm honestly at a loss for words here.

I am so incredibly sorry. Hang in there, guys.

Brian Alvarez34 said:I don't mean to be rude, but I’m just as convinced as he is that you aren't actually on semi-formal good terms with most of the groups, which basically means you end up getting humiliated right in your own hometown

I'm not really sure about all that (just my two cents, anyway).

The posts will probably get wiped regardless since they're more about the Ultras than anything to do with BBB, so we might just be spinning our wheels here...

Jonathan Barnes5 said:Why would you think they're talking nonsense? I mean, we’re talking about probably the most decent group of fans in the country—the ones who stay out of the online drama more than anyone else. They've proven themselves countless times over as an incredibly loyal bunch, especially when things get messy. It isn't easy being a die-hard fan in a small town, especially in a place where everyone knows exactly who you are.

I'm with him on this one.

Plus, if I recall correctly, there hasn't been a single US national team match—from friendlies to the World Cup—where they weren't showing up...

(Sorry for going off-topic here, but if they actually wanted to talk about themselves online, they could have just started their own active thread)

Bryan Wilson11 said:Seriously though, what exactly is so controversial about that footage? Come on, enlighten me. 🙏

I mean, I'm just talking about the sheer hypocrisy of the Lakers and the USSF...

Henry Flores3 said:Is it just me, or does it feel incredibly weird that the official Lakers Facebook page would post a video showing the celebration with the Bad Boys at the end of the game, while at the same time they’re trying to ban those exact same guys forever with all these different rules and regulations!?

I mean, until recently, the USSF actually had a photo on their website's homepage featuring fans, and you could clearly see a lit flare in the background.

They really just use the fans whenever it suits them, I guess.

Nothing about this should be surprising, really.

And that same footage the Lakers are using to brag about? They probably handed it over to the police right before they posted it.

Jonathan Williams3 said:You’ve lost the plot... honestly, nobody from the Bad Boys expects anyone to be leading protests... actually, any time you stray from the main topic, it just does more harm than good. That's probably why you've alienated the Washington, D.C. locals too, whether you believe it or not... they just don't vibe with your views, which seem to get more extreme by the day. The stands used to be packed because everyone felt welcome—you had punks, rockers, skins, even the preppy types... but nowadays, if you're even slightly different, you're basically told to get lost. And then people wonder why they won't join your side.

Don't take this personally, but your posts read a bit like they were written by someone whose parents grounded them from every game, or maybe by someone who tried to get into the cheering scene once, failed miserably, got a bruised ego, and decided to just stay home forever.

Keith Baker93 said:I’d go into more detail if I could, but honestly, what's the point? They’ll probably just delete my posts again because they can't handle anyone having a different opinion.

I'll just address that last part: Fine, back then it was one thing. But look at May 5th, 2018—right in the middle of Washington, D.C., during those "Marshland" rallies. You'll have people gathering by the embankment near the Freedom Bridge who genuinely believe the city was liberated back in '45 rather than in the 90s. They’ll be waving gay, Yugoslav, and Soviet flags. And this isn't some isolated incident; these kinds of things happen in D.C. all the time now. These Marshland protests have been popping up for a few years already. Not to mention all those various anti-fascist nights held down in the Swamps and similar gatherings where "anti-fascist" bands play their "anti-fascist" songs... all happening right in the heart of the capital. Washington, D.C. has become such an incredibly tolerant city. Pretty soon, much like in Cleveland, you might actually be able to walk through downtown wearing Red Sox or Yankees jerseys.

So, Washington, D.C. has become a tolerant city. Okay... and? Is that supposed to be a bad thing?

If you think that being tolerant means being way too accepting of things it shouldn't be, or if you feel the city has become apathetic and is losing its identity—basically letting itself get screwed over—then hey, feel free to throw on a Yankees jersey, take a stroll through the center, and let us know how that goes for you.

Best,

Jonathan Williams3 said:I can watch a game whenever I feel like it... though I'm getting pretty close to that point where I just want to walk away from the whole thing. It’s kind of like American politics—you might absolutely loathe the Republicans from the bottom of your soul, but then you look at the Democrats and realize they aren't much better either. So, you just end up feeling this bit of bitterness, and that's about it.

Do you actually get a kick out of opening the forum only to find out your post was deleted? 🍿

Charles Chase4 said:At the end of the day, I guess everything really boils down to the state of the club—it’s basically the one factor that matters above all else, since everything else starts and ends right there. Given everything that’s going on with Real Madrid right now—especially looking at those latest numbers and just how active the Chelsea supporters have been—it’s honestly kind of a miracle to witness. I guess you could say their level of engagement is pretty much on another level compared to anything else out there.

I guess I’m on the same page here.

Henry Flores3 said:Maybe it’s just about changing the mindset in this city. I actually moved here from the Midwest earlier this year to finish up my degree. Since I don't really have a crew to hit the games with yet, I tried getting some guys from my study group to tag along—they're all locals here in Washington, D.C.—but honestly, they just laughed at me. Their excuse? They said supporting a team is basically like cheering for "kids from middle school." I genuinely wonder where the shame comes in when it comes to backing the symbol of your own city, regardless of whether you're 15, 20, or over 30. Since I asked about ten different guys and got the exact same reaction, I guess that’s just the majority view around here. It’s funny, though—they don't find it shameful to spend every weekend drinking to cheesy country songs like "someone's gonna make me a father tonight" or whatever. I think that's where the real issue lies. If we could actually get 10,000 people together for every protest—which, I mean, should be a realistic expectation—we’d have launched a rocket to the moon by now. This city needs a wake-up call. Sorry if I'm venting, it's just been weighing on me lately... See you guys at Star City in a few days.

Man, you should try coming from Pittsburgh. Out of 50,000 people there, maybe five of us would actually show up to support the local club.

Seriously, five out of 50,000.

Given how big Washington, D.C. is and the sheer amount of stuff going on here (if you want to call it that)—and considering the situation with the club isn't exactly great either—the hardcore ultras, the merch, and the whole supporter culture is actually holding up pretty well.

P.S. just a quick question for anyone who might be interested:

Do the Bad Boys ever show up to watch the Dinamo II matches in the second division?

Given the history between the clubs, it could actually be a pretty funny scene to witness...

Though, I suppose that would mean managing three different fronts all at once—Dinamo, Dinamo Futsal, and Dinamo II

Henry Grant51 said:The idea of doing a retro scarf rerun is solid, but if you look closely at this one, there's a tiny little five-pointed star on it—which basically means it's from the old socialist era.

I mean, how can we talk about that when Mamić basically "protected" every single piece of the club's visual identity he could get his hands on? (And by that, I mean all the crests, including this one with the star)...

Maybe I've got that wrong, I don't know... 🤷
