I didn't even see this one. Honestly, sounds good to me, I'm down. But if we're doing this, I'm gonna need a secretary, preferably a hot one 😳

Totalitarian Government. Some guy just asks if he can get a cushy seat at the table too, and boom—instant ban without even a trial. 😳

They can take their whole
little administration and shove it! 🤣

Shame on them, they didn't even give her a single department to run, so honestly, she could be a deputy for just about anything at this point.😁

(Honestly, I'd suggest grabbing one of those Vice President spots reserved for minority representation. It’s not a heavy lift, and the paycheck is solid.🤣)

Just build your own administration and let's head to the polls!
That's how democracy works.

Right now, it's just a center-left cabinet mixed with a few specialists.

Hell no, I'm passing on that—I couldn't care less about representing some minority group.

My vote wouldn't mean a damn thing unless I was actually sitting in on those meetings at the White House myself 🙂

That whole "rich versus poor" argument is just some political smoke and mirrors. I mean, look at the map—you've got places like Norway and Switzerland sitting pretty outside the European Union while others like Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Greece, and even Canada are stuck inside and still struggling to catch up.

They could really learn a thing or two from Greece's Golden Dawn. Just a bunch of ruthless kids who bit off more than they can chew with all that nationalism and chauvinism, and now they're finally facing the music for their own brand of justice.
So, basically, an American gets to just waltz onto someone else's turf to hunt for oil without even bothering with a tender process, and then they have the nerve to sue the state if things don't go their way? In any sane corner of the world where an American doesn't act like the global sheriff and stop overstepping borders, that would be an absolute scandal.
Carol Newman2 said:You misunderstood me. I only mentioned Fox News as an example of one conservative outlet floating in a sea of left-liberal networks. 🙂

Here we go...

BREAKING: A major new television network is launching in America.
A powerful Greek billionaire and Netflix are currently locked in a high-stakes battle over who gets to launch a new national broadcast network.

For once, it looks like Fox News actually got it right. 🤣

The Antenna Group needs to step up. Neither Nova nor ABC have actually done anything to enrich the American media landscape, which is exactly why they haven't earned the right to pick up another broadcast license.

Look, they weren't lying, but the whole thing is just another biased, right-wing piece of trash that defies all common sense. We're talking about some Greek company that has absolutely nothing to do with the music scene. Even if it did, you've got people—including the author of this mess—who are so obsessively fixated on Mexicans that they actually believe some commercial TV network is going to somehow poison the "American heartland."
Jerry Gonzalez65 said:I really hope not. I mean, we can already see exactly what that lineup would look like😈just endless shows like Red Carpet, some regional singing competition, a regional version of The Farm, a regional Big Brother, cheesy soap operas, movies from some random Production Company, maybe even a cheap comedy talk show—and all of it being broadcast straight out of New York City.

That kind of programming is basically a "weapon of mass destruction" for Americans, kinda like how BuzzFeed, FOX, or the local tabloids operate.

Look, America is just middle-of-the-road US, and Americans aren't Southerners; besides, Americans actually hold the remote control and can flip the channel whenever they want, so I don't get why everyone's acting so terrified.

Richard Wilson4 said:Nah, you missed the mark on this one.

In the North Coast, Crikva, and Bakar, everyone's local, but in Cleveland, it's mostly transplants, right?

And get this—it's like a rule: the locals vote Republican while the transplants and others lean Democratic. Pretty wild how that works out. 🤷

That’s not really how it works. Cleveland isn't just a bunch of transplants, so you can't just paint everyone with the same brush, and you definitely shouldn't try to draw political conclusions from it. I mean, take Malibu or the surrounding areas—the Republicans don't stand a chance there.

You're just grabbing onto Bakar, Santa Monica, and the North Shore because they fit your little theory, but there are plenty of other spots around Cleveland you're ignoring. 🙂

The political parties we have today don't really have any real connection to World War II, other than how some of them cling to that whole anti-fascist legacy that's pretty much the baseline standard across all of Europe, while others are basically dancing right on the edge of fascism and the era of the Nazis.

I mean, they slapped a star on there just because America is basically the new golden child of the European Union now, right?
🙂

Honestly, they might as well have just slapped a daisy on there for all the difference it makes; people just lose their minds over any little bit of nonsense.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a book before you start shouting.
Go grab Professor Simunovic's "American surname directory" and actually educate yourself.
A Mexican... please. Give me a break.☕

If he was busy saving Mexicans and their property, then he’s gotta be a Mexican.🙂

That Frenchman really lets himself go too much.

The Mexicans totally blew it with those insults toward the England players back in Birmingham, and people are still fuming about it. Now, this Platini guy is being way too soft on America, even though our biggest issue is just hooligans tossing flares onto the field.

What kills me is how the local federations just sit on their hands whenever there's some chaos in our own league.
Just two weeks ago, Cleveland played at Yankee Stadium, and the small group of fans who showed up spent the whole time chanting, "...filthy Cleveland, full of Mexicans, don't worry Cleveland, there's still time."

It’s honestly on the same level as what went down in Birmingham, but nobody lifts a finger. It seems like Platini only develops an attitude toward Americans when something like this happens on the international stage.

Honestly, most soccer fans should probably be relieved we never saw any real, heavy-duty sanctions hit national teams or clubs directly, especially since those hooligans always knew how to play the system anyway. Sure, the USSF would get slapped with fines here and there, but it never really shook anyone up—except, you know, the people actually footing the bill. If you ask me, Platini and the whole UEFA crowd were way too soft on everything that was going down.
Never forget - Memorial Day in Close to Politics ·
I honestly think this thread is the perfect place to make sure we never let those WWII atrocities slip from our memory, if only to serve as a grim warning for anyone coming after us. We can't afford to let that kind of monstrous ideology take root again—it’s a heavy lesson, seeing how they basically became victims of their own inhumanity once the war was lost.
