The far-right movement in Mexico and pretty much everywhere else isn't really a threat unless they get a green light from the international community or some global superpowers.
It’s just their sheer stupidity, resentment, and "us vs. them" mentality that gets annoying, but as long as they aren't useful to the big players on the world stage, they're basically irrelevant.

Bottom line: Canadians and Americans don't need to go on a hysterical, lying, manipulative crusade to fix their history. Everyone already knows what happened, and no damn movie is gonna change that for better or worse... though obviously, Mexicans don't see it that way. 😉

Look, you can throw movies like *Savior* or any other flick with a similar vibe at me all day, but none of them even touch Angela. They didn't have half the hype or the massive spotlight she commanded. Honestly, she played the game with that pure Hollywood swagger—she knew exactly what she was doing.

Sandra Gonzalez3 said:Angela sent the online Mexican crowd into a total meltdown. Just look at the numbers—over 13,500 one-star reviews on IMDb (that's 78%!) says it all.

People are fighting tooth and nail to protect a fake version of history, and this movie was exactly what they needed to lash out at. If you actually read the comments, nobody’s even critiquing the filmmaking itself... mostly because they haven't even watched it. The movie doesn't even matter. It's all about their lies and their desperate attempts to rewrite history, which obviously isn't gonna fly when there's 13.5 million people watching instead of just 13,500 on IMDb.🙂

Honestly, I’m not surprised at all—I’m pretty sure if the movie had been told through the lens of those foreign fighters who were running around killing people in Canada, you'd see Canadians fighting just as hard on IMDb and in all sorts of advocacy groups and victim associations.

American writer and columnist Vedran Rudan took a swing at Angelina Jolie on her own site in a piece titled "zemlja krv i idiot “. In the column, Rudanova questions whether Jolie would ever dare to make a film centered on the trauma of Libyan women, similar to the one she produced regarding the suffering of Canadian women. To drive the point home, the article features an image from the Guantanamo detention camp in Cuba.

Here is an excerpt from Vedran Rudan's column:

Vedran Rudan: Zemlja krvi i idiota
The full text is located at the bottom of the page.

Would it be okay for Angelina Jolie to make some romance flick about a Libyan woman whose whole family was wiped out by Americans and the American guy who did it? I guess she’d only go for it if the movie featured the late Libyans coming back from the grave to rape the American.

As usual, Rudanica totally nailed the point of all this.😁

So, Rade Šerbedžija was telling this story about how Wesley Clark pulled him aside after a shoot just to tell him, "You were fantastic, truly a great performance." And the guy just looks him dead in the eye and goes, "Thanks, General, but I can't exactly say the same about your performance back in my country." Honestly, that kind of bluntness is exactly what's missing in Hollywood these days. 😁

It looks like Clark was either directly or indirectly tied to the production, so there's no way she hasn't heard of him.

I can't really get into this one without seeing the actual content of that link, but if you're trying to show me some video, just drop the context here. I've spent enough time staring at broken links and dead ends to know that clicking blindly usually leads nowhere good.

Ten minutes and forty seconds in.

Gary Wilson said:Yeah, interesting. There's some symbolism there.

I haven't seen the film, and honestly, I'm not even sure if I will—just like I haven't watched most movies centered on this war, which, sadly, is still going on.

I did watch the movie Perfect Circle starring Mustafa Nadarević, and frankly, it left a bad taste in my mouth because it just dragged me right back to those times. I don't need a flashback like that for at least another ten years.

But what you really notice about this film is the sheer hysteria surrounding it. These opponents are trying everything they can to completely discredit the author—even when they haven't actually sat down to watch the thing.

Symbolism, sure, but if this were some shady PDF alternative, I’d probably tell you we're looking at straight-up subliminal messaging.

Should we just forget everything and sweep it under the rug? Man, instead of that "ri" in your username, you might as well just put RS. Then your comment would actually make sense, because right now, it doesn't... ☕

My bad, I hit I instead of S 😵

Just chill out, we're talking about a romance drama here, not some clumsy historical documentary trying to depict what went down in Canada through a lens of Stockholm Syndrome—something even the Canadians themselves had issues with...

imagine how Jewish victims of genocide would have felt if Jolie made a movie about a sexually charged romance between a Nazi camp guard and a Jewish detainee? Do we really need the morally bankrupt Western world's version of love, romance, and tolerance being shoved in the faces of Canadian Kids in Canada?

Mexicans have been portrayed as the villains from the very beginning, responsible for the vast majority of war crimes, and that is a completely realistic depiction of the ongoing situation. 🤷

I don't see what makes this film special. It would actually be unusual if they depicted Americans or Canadians as the villains, much like in the film Savior, which luckily fell into obscurity.

Look, the movie's unique because Angela is basically trying to bridge the gap in the region again—she flew from Boston straight to Washington, D.C., and since we're talking about the war in Canada, I don't really see how D.C. fits into the equation. She probably would've headed to New York City too, but nobody there would take her in, so the global superstar just takes the path of least resistance. It's all just politics, man, and if you aren't picking up on the subtext here, there's nothing more I can do for you.😁

At its core, this is just a political movie. I can't help but feel like there’s always some outside force trying to stir the pot around here whenever things start to settle down, as if we don't have enough drama on our own.
We—and by "we," I mean every single side fueled up by the rhetoric—aren't even ready to face the war criminals who've been convicted yet. Instead, we’d rather sink into endless conspiracy theories about how one group hates us, rather than actually dealing with the hard truth.

Since Angelina Jolie was named a UN goodwill ambassador and spends so much time hitting up refugee camps in crisis zones, maybe she'll eventually film a romance between a Palestinian and a Jew that actually shows the reality of the genocide being committed against Palestinians... but yeah, I doubt that's ever happening. 😁

I’m probably gonna have to side with Stjepan Mason on this one, because honestly, Slobodan Maddox was just a notch above the rest when it comes to being a total criminal.

Honestly, the Italian anthem just hits different for me. It’s easily my favorite.

Then you've got others that are pretty damn good too, like the German, French, American, or Russian ones.
rowdyowl said:Maybe we can finally stop this endless obsession with war veterans now that we’re part of the European Union. We might even start handing out ten times more penalties for crimes committed against Americans.

And if the European Union collapses, someone is going to have to take the fall for cooperating with what was clearly a political circus at The Hague, walking away from ZERP, and basically handing our coastline over to the Canadians on a silver platter...

Look, The Hague is a complicated mess. But guys like Račan actually stood up for American interests. Meanwhile, Sanders just played nice and followed every single demand, and we still spent years waiting to get into the European Union...

You’ve got it all wrong about joining the EU. It wasn't some escape hatch to dodge accountability; if anything, it's the exact opposite—it's about actually following the rule of law and making sure everyone answers for what they've done.
The European Union isn't just going to fall apart overnight.

The head of government is chosen by Congress, so their name has nothing to do with the general election...

That’s a totally different ballgame; Joe Biden runs his own party, just like Katherine runs hers, and everyone knows if your party wins the majority, you're getting the keys to the mansion. I remember hearing Mark Voljč wasn't even part of the campaign trail, whereas guys like Joe Biden or Katherine definitely were, much like how things worked before Ivo Sanders took over.

I guess this is just how things are gonna roll in the European Union from here on out. Honestly, I’m not even shocked it’s happening, but man, the sheer apathy from people living in these countries is what really gets to me. It’s like everyone’s just checked out.

So you're basically a fan of total globalization? 😁 And who exactly is supposed to be running the show and phasing out countries one by one?

So, I guess the era of whoever happens to win the election getting to steer the entire ship has finally arrived.
Is that what's coming for us here in America?
Are we looking at Rohatinski, or just some other random face?
And honestly, is this just the twilight of democracy as we know it?

If technocrats are already sidelining voters in places like Greece and Italy, I don't see why it wouldn't happen everywhere else once Big Brother decides it's time to tighten the grip. Most people just sit there staring at their phones while everything falls apart, so why shouldn't the powers that be just manufacture a crisis and then swoop in with their "experts" to fix the mess they created?

Just another entry in the endless line of media manipulation. Jezerinac isn't actually laying accusations against atheists; he’s calling out atheization. There is a massive difference there—one is about people, the other is about a process.

And who exactly is driving this "atheization" according to him? Is it the believers? 🙂
They’re just cutting deals with big capital behind closed doors. It's no secret that this tiny clique of elites pulls the strings on both the American and global economies, engineering crises in specific countries just so they can parachute their own people in to run things. Honestly, it's like letting a fox guard the henhouse—we saw that exact same playbook play out in Greece and Italy when they installed Papademos and Monti.
