Haha, it sounds absolutely hideous—but honestly, it doesn't look all that bad, considering there's always a perfectly healthy new nail waiting underneath🙂

Itchy nose... help!

Douglas Diaz3 said:Around here, people call them sebaceous filaments—basically just tiny black dots. They aren't actually acne or pimples, per se. If you squeeze even a tiny bit, they pop right out, and they usually look white once they're out.
Don't go squeezing them... there are plenty of decent masks and peels designed specifically for this. Even those strip-off strips work well enough to pull them out. It’s perfectly normal—most people deal with it. Your dad probably thought they were myths too, but as pores enlarge over the years, those "myths" become much harder to ignore.
I wouldn't recommend squeezing them personally... you just end up creating larger holes.👎
It wasn’t about my nails—I just lost interest in chasing something else entirely. College, social life, and frankly, the spark just died out. I feel a pang of regret today, I suppose, but I think I made the right call—given that you can't exactly build a career on ballet these days... Though, if I'm being honest, the move from Chicago to New York didn't exactly make things any easier.😢
I never dealt with ingrown nails nearly as much as my friends did—it was always more about my cuticles. Even when I had issues, there was always a new nail growing underneath, so it wasn't exactly a crisis. Honestly, a pedicurist can't do much if you aren't proactive—at least not the ones I’ve used. They massage, apply creams, paint the nails... things I can easily do myself. They have all these fancy gadgets for foot massages now, too—but at this point, nothing really hurts anymore; after a while, you just get used to everything.🙂
Fasting tips and experiences?

It isn't exactly healthy—obviously—but I managed to drop ten pounds in just two days purely from vomiting. When you're dealing with a stomach flu or whatever, it’s far from ideal... but it happens. As long as he starts getting some vitamins back in his system, he should be fine. He just needs to realize that anyone who drops weight that fast usually gains it right back—that's just common sense. It's better to take it slow... build some actual discipline... find a steady pace you can actually live with. Eat your greens, hit the gym, and you'll look great. Also, overdoing the water isn't any healthier—you just end up feeling bloated. That happened to me once... I was eating, sure, but I was drinking way too much water at once.

Water mostly helps break down fats—that part is accurate. If you actually want to lose weight without killing yourself in the process... you need to drink massive amounts of water, eat apples, carrots, and you MUST have at least one banana a day. You HAVE to eat vegetables, but don't fry them in oil or mess with spices... just stick to that for the vitamins and minimal calories. Cut out the sweets, white bread, soda, and definitely the alcohol... that’s my advice, anyway... and get some exercise... you'll get the results you want and be certain you did it healthily.🙂good luck!!
I spent years in ballet—years of dealing with bruised nails, bleeding toes, and all that lovely trauma. I never once stepped foot in a nail salon, though. I’ve always handled my own foot care, and honestly, they look great today. My routine is simple: once a week, I soak my feet in a basin with some basic shower gel—hot water, ideally—to soften everything up, then I just clear away any dead skin with a razor if necessary. Doing this once a month, followed by an exfoliant and a good moisturizer, is plenty. There are a million different creams on the shelves these days, so a professional pedicure feels entirely redundant. I never had issues with ingrown nails, just those constant little cuts on my toes—I used to be covered in Band-Aids until liquid bandage was actually invented.🙂That's just how I've handled it.🙂
Honestly—this has never happened to me... but if you're genuinely this terrified of what might be going on, the smartest move is just to see a doctor. A professional exam will tell you way more than anyone on this board ever could—plus, you’ll actually get some peace of mind.
Nausea and everything smells gross—help!

I went through this exact same thing back in the spring—it was 4:00 AM when my mom rushed me to the ER because I just couldn't take it anymore... they gave me an injection, and the pain vanished instantly. Honestly, you should see a doctor ASAP—you’re going to end up dehydrated if you wait.
Rhinoplasty recovery: What to expect?

Linda Hernandez15 said:Are you absolutely sure it’s that long? She used to say two weeks—this surgery is far too minor to be dealing with facial swelling for two whole months.
She went through a private specialist—no hospital stay required. I'm certain of that—and she didn't leave her house for two months... all because of the swelling... and that bruising under the eye... even foundation couldn't hide it.
The age limit is 22. Before then, the bone structure is still shifting. That much is certain... since I actually took the time to look into it myself.🙂

A friend of mine had her surgery around 1:00 PM—she called me by 5:00... she was already home.🙂

If you’re looking into cosmetic surgery, I might have some insight—a friend of mine went through it recently. She used a private specialist and paid about $1,500—though that’s entirely dependent on the complexity of the procedure, of course. You can head home immediately after waking from anesthesia, but be prepared for the swelling; your eyes, mouth, nose, cheeks... basically your entire face will bruise up. It’s quite an ordeal—but it all settles down after about two months. Everything turns out fine eventually.🙂The bruising and swelling fade away... leaving nothing behind but a perfectly shaped nose.🙂She claims the actual pain isn't the issue—it's just the unpleasantness of waking up from anesthesia... the nausea and all that.
When I ask her if it was worth the trouble... she tells me straight away she’d do it all over again.🙂So, don't let fear hold you back.😉

Mammogram experience

Go get an ultrasound—it doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong... changes can be negative, or they could be like mine—I had two cysts in my breast—benign, nothing to worry about.
Don't panic just yet, but definitely go get the scan done.

I pick up that anti-frizz spray from Avon—it actually works.
