Traffic violation procedures in Criminal and Misdemeanor Law ·
So, they pulled me over three months ago. My BAC was at 0.41, which isn't even over the 0.5 limit, and I had been driving for about five hours—well, actually closer to four and a half—and of course, they flagged me anyway.

They just gave me a report on the spot (I signed it, though I'm not sure if that matters), but today my citation finally arrived in the mail from the municipal court, and it says I'm guilty😁 of two separate violations: the driving itself and the alcohol. It says the fine is $167 for each violation, plus one point on my license. They also sent two payment slips: $1,000 for the fines and another $100 for something else, I can't tell what😁

I'm totally new to all this. This is my first offense and I feel like an absolute idiot😁
The paperwork says I can file an appeal within eight days of receiving it... but what exactly is an appeal? Who do I even send it to? And what happens after I file it? Is there any way to get out of this? Honestly, I'm in a really bad spot financially right now—I'm unemployed and I just can't afford to pay this much.

Thanks in advance for any help... if anyone actually responds...👍

Everything is laid out really clearly here, and they even included pictures.

And check this one out—it has photos too, though it's spread across several pages.

Then there's this one, which is just a plain text explanation.

Joseph Carter9 said:Look, let's skip the arguing for a second—I have a quick question for everyone else. I'm running an Intel Pentium 4 right now; 15*133= 1995 MHz. I think my memory is probably running at 133 MHz too, though I can't be 100% sure. What I really want is to get that memory up to 200 MHz (I've got DDR400 on hand). If I do that, shouldn't those 133 MHz also bump up to 200? I can change that in the BIOS, but the multiplier is locked. Is there any way to change the multiplier to 10 using a jumper on the motherboard? That way, the frequency stays roughly the same, like 10*2000= 2000 MHz. (Please don't laugh at me!)

If I recall correctly, you need a processor with an unlocked multiplier.
With the Barton stuff, I think only the mobile versions were unlocked, whereas with the standard ones, you have to mess around with the actual CPU hardware.
I think I'm right, but I honestly can't be certain.😁 😁

And I’m just dying to know—how exactly would you suggest I change the voltage? It's not even an option in my BIOS... northerncrane33 already told me my motherboard doesn't support it... and does anyone actually know a software for it?????? MR. SMART GUY.

I posted a link above. Just download the benchmarks. There are plenty of other utilities used for overclocking, so maybe you'll find something that actually works for you.

I've been playing around with some overclocking, like you can see in the attachment.
The GPU actually hit over 380 MHz and the RAM reached 315, but honestly, what I have here is the sweet spot for stability. It passed all the tests, and I've had Stalker running for two days straight without a single hiccup.

Has anyone managed to push this card any further? I'd love to hear what you guys think.

Have you tried using those softmode drivers I posted? If not, seriously, give them a shot. It should be a pretty significant upgrade.

Joseph Carter9 said:But can I unlock the performance on a GeForce FX 5500?

No.

The softmod specifically unlocks those four hidden rendering pipelines inside the GPU cores of the GeForce FX 5500 or 9800 SE cards. Also, updated drivers for GeForce drivers enable overclocking for all FX series cards.

Joseph Carter9 said:So how exactly were you unlocking those limits?

Well, I was using the drivers. But then I read somewhere that you could actually do it through hardware too... though that would require some soldering, so I just decided against it.😬

http://www.techpowerup.com/softmod/ This is where I grab my drivers.

Joseph Carter9 said:If you push the overclocking too far, those little dots—or sometimes lines—start showing up on the screen.

I mean, I get that's why they happen. But I didn't actually raise the clock speeds! I just unlocked the extra pipelines. I can't remember exactly how many... it's been a while since I messed with this stuff. Basically, isn't that the only real difference between a 9800SE and a standard 9800? Just the number of active pipelines? It feels like it's even the exact same chip, just with half the pipelines locked off. Usually, it's the ones that aren't performing at their best that trigger these kinds of artifacts. Well, I used those new drivers to unlock them, and now suddenly they're appearing...

northerncrane33 said:When I tried overclocking my memory, some little dots started popping up on my monitor—green and purple ones...

I'm seeing this too, but only while I'm gaming. It doesn't happen in macOS.
I've got a 9800SE running as a 9800, just updated the drivers, but I haven't touched the memory or core speeds yet. Is it possible one of my pipelines is shot? That would explain it... but since I'm such a total noob at this stuff, maybe someone smarter here has an idea?
Best car chases of all time? in Movies ·
Gone in 60 Seconds—honestly, I’d sit there for half an hour just staring at my dream car... ELEANOR

That chase scene from the original, though? Pure genius. Has anyone else actually sat down and watched it? It came out back in '74. Sure, the acting is a total disaster, but that five-minute pursuit? Just incredible.

I'm honestly worried it actually was a joke. If it were true, he would have just said, "Hey, I've got a 74GB Raptor sitting right here at home."😬 😬

Alright, alright...
Thanks for the help, guys. I finally tracked down the software I was looking for.
I'm looking for a solid program to scan my drive—something that can check for bad sectors and those other annoying hardware issues that pop up on a hard drive.
I know Windows used to have a built-in tool that would sometimes run during startup, but I really need an actual application I can launch directly from within Windows or even via DOS.

If any of that is unclear, just let me know. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know of a program that can batch rename a huge amount of photos? I'm looking for something ideally free and lightweight to download😁.

Thanks in advance!👍

So, here are my results. They aren't exactly groundbreaking, but they aren't total garbage either.

3DMark 2001 (default settings) - 14,860 points

The build: AMD Barton 2500, GIGABYTE 7N400PRO2, Radeon 9800 SE @ 9800, 2x256 MB RAM (Xerox).
