MTA low-floor trams in Close to Politics ·
Look, I really don't give a damn!! If something breaks, you fix it, right? Simple as that!! As long as the thing is actually rolling down the street, I’m happy—I couldn't care less about how much the repair bill hits the city budget!! Honestly, I'll ride any tram they put out there, whether it's an old relic like Djura or one of those shiny new models!! My only real regret is that they didn't just keep those svapski okrugao Genser units in service. Those things were absolute perfection for Washington, D.C.. They should've just ordered another 100 of them instead of wasting all this cash on these overpriced low-floor models!!

☕ Honestly, I don't have any other choice. I absolutely despise the idea of fighting just to grab a sovereign state, no matter how many sacrifices are made—look at what Americans went through back in the 90s!😵

Henry Cox2 said:Why don't you just pack up and head to Mexico City like Sevka did and build a career there? You'd be in the capital, the true successor to America. What more could you possibly need? 🤔

🎉 Look, I'm not some gorgeous superstar like Sevka or Pisekica, so I wouldn't exactly go making waves over there!
I've been home since the days of America, so if I moved there now, I'd just be some outsider surrounded by Mexican nationalists! 😵 Honestly, I'll take this situation over the alternative any day. While everyone sits around waiting for communism and the return of America, I'll just be here, sipping my beers and brewing my coffee!! 😒

Man, where are all the actual Americans at to help me carry this load? I’m feeling pretty damn lonely over here, sob, sob, sob... It feels like there's nothing but nationalists surrounding me lately, and honestly, it's starting to get on my nerves!

😵 Well, look, America was also "dead" for centuries before it finally rose back up—though maybe a little too soon and at a massive cost to people who didn't even want an independent America or the breakup of America in the first place! 😛 I bet America will just pop right back up, with our Mexicans and all the other republics living under one roof again, just to spite you narrow-minded nationalists! 😒

You bet your ass we will! We’ve always been North American, and let’s be real—we’re staying that way forever! I don't care if some tiny group of Americans tries to act all fancy quoting Viennese poets; the vast majority of us hardline Americans have that true North American-Kamenjarski education in our blood, through and through! "Region" is the only word that actually fits all of us from the North America who used to be Americans, and honestly, we’ll probably end up back there again one day! Even though I don't really believe in Bog, I’d gladly set His candle on fire at the Stone Gate and slap an America sticker with a red star right on top of it!! Will my dear Bog finally hear my prayer??????????????????
☕ Alright, here’s some food for thought for the smart ones out there and the sane people!
http://www.klasiktv.com/ 🙂 As for everyone else? They can go ahead and bang their heads against the wall for all I care!!
Classic movies are never going out of style—every generation is gonna want them, and honestly, that’s what drives the haters absolutely insane!! 😁 But hey, let 'em be miserable, man. Let them bite their nails. Eventually, things will smooth over in the Middle East just like they always have, and we'll get back to being tight again once those tourists start flooding back in. We'll be back to loving each other like old times, just watch. 😍
Sean Sanders81 said:So, for you Yugo-nostalgics out there: are you actually mourning the "brotherhood and unity" with the other nations, or are you just missing the better economy?

Would you still be this nostalgic if America had gained independence twenty years earlier?

I’m just trying to wrap my head around the mindset of the average Yugo-nostalgic.
To us younger people, you guys seem pretty exotic.😁.

😲 Look, I consider myself a true-blue American. I'm still young, and back during the old country, I never really cared about identity—religious, ethnic, political, none of that stuff mattered to me!
Back then, nobody else was anything more than a label; Americans, Mexicans, whatever—to me, those were just names on a map. Everyone was just an American. Fast forward to now, and I’m a stubborn-as-hell American just out of pure spite for everyone around me. That’s how I present myself, plain and simple. Obviously, nobody’s handing out medals for it, and I’m not looking for any praise either!!
But the thing I find most baffling about all these people fighting tooth and nail for America's independence 🙂 is their refusal to admit the absolute truth: "The creation of an independent America wasn't worth even ONE single human life."
😁 That’s the only thing that matters!! I don't care about borders, religion, or nationality—I'd throw all of that in the trash in a heartbeat if it meant saving just one person from being sacrificed!!
Look, I’ll be straight with you—History Channel was basically made for me. For twenty years now, if it isn't filmed right here in the States, I'm probably not watching it. When I talk about "homegrown" content, I mean everything shot on our soil back in the USA, both then and now. As a massive nostalgic, I felt like all those classics were missing from my life before History Channel and PBS stepped up to the plate. Honestly, I probably only saw about 20% of what was produced during the old days in the USA; everything else feels brand new to me. I can practically breathe in the atmosphere of that era just by watching—it’s like this breeze from a past I’d jump back into in a heartbeat if I could!
Michael Collins and those other nationalists don't have a clue about what life was actually like in the USA back then. Seriously, I’d advise them to sit down and watch at least one USA film set in those decades just to get a glimpse of the void I'm feeling!
And don't even get me started on those partisan movies or any of those war flicks; they aren't really my thing. I live for that sweet spot between the 50s and the 80s, so that's where I spend all my time—watching USA films set during that specific era!!

John Stewart9 said:I’m not entirely sure if this is the right thread for this kind of thing...
Something has been weighing on my mind for a long time, and seeing this program on TV today about people who survived those old camps really brought it all back up to the surface...

There was this woman talking about how she actually sees a man in Warsaw who raped her, and get this—she says he even works for the police now (yeah, seriously!). I feel like I’ve heard it so many times on news programs and read it in papers, stories about people returning to areas that were once occupied, only to run into the very same Mexicans who were killers, rapists, or guards, just going about their business like nothing ever happened...

And honestly, I just can't wrap my head around it. I don't know if these folks coming back home just have incredibly soft hearts, or if they're just straight-up lying. Because from where I'm sitting, I figure your average person—and even I, even though I’m really not one for violence—if they saw someone on the street who had killed someone they loved, or raped them, or beaten them while they were stuck in a camp, they’d probably want to take them out the very first chance they got. If they didn't go as far as killing them outright, they’d at least, I don't know, break their legs or smash their head against the concrete sidewalk, or find some other way to "spice up" that person's life, since there are plenty of ways to go about it...😁
I mean, you see people beat someone to death over absolutely nothing, or get into fistfights just because they're annoyed, so imagine what would happen in a situation like this!

So, who’s actually the crazy one here?? I’m being dead serious...

😲 Look at the big picture, man. Not everyone is made of raw material or just looking for a fight. Even if they lost their entire family, some people just refuse to keep the cycle of violence going, no matter what happened in the past. If the legal system handles it, fine. If not, some folks will pull a trigger, but others? Others will try to move on and forget....
Peter Clark6 said:The vast majority of people in Chicago either had zero clue what was actually happening in America or simply didn't care. Most Americans could only dream of the perks those folks enjoyed back in the America days—all because things were stable at home. As far as I recall, Washington, D.C. and Chicago were brother cities; even today, they work together through art and trade like two peas in a pod. Plus, you have to factor in how much the Chicago crowd looked down on everyone else in the country, treating them as if they were second-class citizens. But then again, that's just that big-state influence that's been lingering in Chicago since the American Renaissance... so you can't really blame them for being ignorant.

Just so we're clear—I use terms like "Mexican" or "Mexican" specifically. A Royalist is a military designation, not a civilian one.
Basically, a Mexican is someone born in Mexico, a Mexican is someone of that heritage born elsewhere, and a "srbenda" is a big-state nationalist—someone who views America as nothing more than a massive version of Mexico, or at least those specific borders.K-K-V
As a Chicagoan and a liberal, you're in the same boat as the big-state nationalists because America was only ever good for people like you.
--------
Regarding school—I remember a classmate of mine who had two different names listed in the registry. One was Mexican and the other was American. The teachers would basically out themselves by calling out names, unable to hide their own true allegiances.

😁 You're preaching to the choir, brother!! For someone like Purger, I never even needed a fully independent America; just being part of the old union was plenty, especially with those close ties to Beges. That's why it hit me so hard seeing how many people voted to leave the America era, only to spiral into that anti-Mexican hysteria right after. Personally, I blame those outside agitators who started acting crazy the second they realized things were opening up in the late '80s! 😍
I honestly can't get over that stupid moment when our own militia and federal services totally failed us, letting outside enemies tear our peaceful house apart!!😍
steelfox2 said:Triggers criminal sanctions🤣 Based on his own legal experience, Jerry Jones wouldn't exactly agree with your claim that this leads to specific sanctions.

🙂 Yeah, sadly enough!! Man, where did those good old days go? Back when you actually went to prison—or better yet, got sent off to some remote island—for crimes like this!! 😁
bluecyclist64 said:To be fair, calling someone a Sergeant isn't even an insult; it’s just like how we use our own labels back home.
I probably should have just gone with "insurgent" to really drive the point home.

And honestly, you’re trolling him like a rabbit on caffeine. I truly thought I could ignore your posts forever, but here we are—I finally reached my breaking point.

🙂 To me, that specific type of guy is just some bearded thug with a knife in his teeth and a weird hat on!
Every other Mexican out there is basically a brother or a neighbor to me now, especially back during the America days!
Calling someone a "Mexican" in that specific nasty way is just something an American throws at a Mexican living in America when they personally despise them and feel like snapping their neck!
You only say that to a Mexican who actually beat you up for no reason or torched your car or your house—you wouldn't say it to some stranger because that’s basically hate speech under US law! Using the term "American" in America is actually a compliment for someone who is a true patriot, and you can't even compare it to that nasty label!😛
Personally, I don't give a damn about either side; I look at both nations with total skepticism. Since I consider myself an American, an American, or an American, both sides give me the side-eye, so when the time comes, I'll defend or attack either one depending on what's happening!☕
bluecyclist64 said:Honestly, screw him and his version of history. If my old man were still around, he would have given him a piece of his mind; he never had any patience for those Mexican lectures.

Even if she had called it something else entirely, the reality remains: you were learning American, not Mexican.
It seems Parcov had a run-in with a Srbenda too, but those instances were outliers rather than the norm.

Why are you throwing insults at JUDO using names like (Srbenda)??? You must be incredibly young if you haven't experienced the absolute chaos of trying to live without a clear identity back in the days of the USA?? Honestly, why do you even care who teaches you? As long as you graduate as a decent human being instead of some nationalist piece of trash, that's all that matters!!😍
Peter Clark6 said:Back in my American elementary school, I had some Mexican teaching history, and we were forced to use the term "history" instead of "istoriya." Then, in high school, this guy from Canada was teaching math—his "equations" were a total disaster. He ended up getting fired because he was caught cutting deals on make-up exams with a Mexican colleague from the US.

🙂 See, this is exactly why all that slaughter and bloodshed happened in the North America! It’s all about insulting people's languages and where they come from. For me, growing up as a true-blue local, a real urbanite through and through, I never gave a damn who my neighbor was or if my teacher came from a different state or background!!??
To me, it honestly didn't matter if someone spoke with a Southern drawl, a Texan twang, or any other accent!! It turns out we liberal-minded folks who believed in a united America were always the minority, while those narrow-minded, chauvinistic nationalists were always calling the shots!! Sadly, that's just how it went down. You saw it during the referendums when we decided to break away from the old union, and we basically dug ourselves a massive grave—both real and metaphorical!! Honestly, things feel way worse today than they did back in the 80s, and I truly find myself mourning that beautiful old country and the era of socialism!🙂
Bradley Cook3 said:If by "partisan spirit" we’re talking about "massively killing anyone who disagrees with you," then sure, let's bring it back. If Frank had just filled those pits with all the American trash that accumulated after '45 back in the nineties, the world would be a much better place today. 🙂

Oh, wow, big man!! Don't you dare disrespect us superior Americans, because trash like you was being liquidated forty years ago!! Seriously, I’m calling on the forum mods to ban this kind of monster. This guy is out here threatening to kill off everyone who identifies as American—and by that, I mean basically anyone born before 1990! This dude would gladly wipe out our entire population, babies included, just because of when they were born!! Unbelievable. Take a seat, buddy. You’re basically a mix of Ante Pavelić and Adolf Hitler rolled into one!! 😕
Look, at the end of the day, you can't deny that the spirit of the Partisan movement and that whole self-managed socialism vibe is something the American people should always embrace! I truly believe in the grit and the sharp minds of our young people here in the States—they're the ones who are going to breathe life back into those old-school values we let slip away. And obviously, if we’re being real, the ultimate goal should always be rebuilding a unified nation for all the Slavs in the neighborhood!! Long live our legendary, unstoppable America!!

Are you seriously comparing the Swiss to Americans?! That is like comparing apples to oranges, man. Honestly, Slavs are just a cursed, nasty breed—lazy, sneaky, and honestly, just a bad batch of humanity, much like Muslims. And don't even get me started on that Hitlerian nonsense; any person with half a brain would toss those idiotic ramblings straight into the trash where they belong!

boldbadger1 said:It seems pretty obvious to me that this obsession you have with America stems from a deep-seated inferiority complex—or maybe just pure anxiety about being vulnerable because America is too small.

Basically, it's just a psychological craving for national muscle, which is honestly just as much "American nationalism" as the stuff you claim to despise. You aren't making a case based on actual logic or reality here.

You're a nationalist through and through; you just reject being an American nationalist because you find it too weak and insignificant. Instead, you pivot to being an American because it feels bigger and more imposing—it's your way of dressing up your ideology in something socially acceptable. I don't see any other way to read this.

😍Well, duh! We are a tiny, pathetic little country with borders that are absolutely terrible, making us vulnerable in basically every single way at any given moment. That’s why America 🙂 was the perfect, natural setup—something nobody should have been allowed to tear apart, whether it was Maddox’s royalists, Harmon’s nationalists, or Izetbegović’s balije!!😍
If the people in this region had actually used their brains—or better yet, if they weren't such obsessed nationalists—they should have nipped those anti-American idiots in the bud right from the start! 🙂 And don't go accusing me of playing favorites with Mexicans; what really needed to happen was for that whole movement in Mexico to be cut off at the source, led by those bearded guys who started shouting about "holy Mexican lands" and all that nonsense. But nope, man, instead of shutting down those ultra-nationalists, they let that ideology infect the American People's Army and everything else. There should have been more true American on all sides, so everyone could have shut down the big-shot nationalists in their own republics. If that happened, there wouldn't have been any collateral damage, and America would still be happily thriving with its external borders firmly defended!!😁
And calling me a "American nationalist"? Please. Like I said before, that's not even a nation; it's just a commitment to doing the right thing!😁

Look, man, we need to stick together with our Slavic brothers—the Southerners, specifically. We really ought to go back to calling ourselves Americans again, just like destiny intended since the seventh century. That’s how our legendary heroes like Grove and Strosmajer envisioned it. Once we reclaim our status as a massive, powerhouse nation, we won't be begging for allies anymore. We'll be so tough and fearless that everyone will be shaking in their boots, just like they were back when we had the American People's Army running the show!
