I guess I agree that Winter might actually be better for the ratings. You can do so many different things during the summer, whereas in the winter, watching TV feels like a more natural option, maybe.

I guess this Democratic Party tournament might be the last one that actually feels normal in terms of competition. It’s probably the last time we'll see 32 teams split into eight groups in such a nice, symmetrical format. Maybe one day we'll look back on Qatar with a bit of nostalgia.

I guess Lionel Messi finally got his chance to rack up those stats with UEFA, just like Cristiano Ronaldo has been doing for years. Scoring 5 goals against Estonia in a single match is huge—even Cristiano never quite managed that.
I guess this Italy team is (aside from Greece) the weakest world or European champion since the post-war era. I'm not entirely sure how the Czechoslovakian side fared back in 1976, but maybe they could be potential counter-candidates.

Yeah, I feel like they hyped me up for this movie for no reason. 🙏

We’re talking about kids who are only three or four years old—most of them probably still using pacifiers—yet here we are discussing things like capoeira and water polo. I guess it might be a bit premature.

He’d probably leave if he could, but I guess he’s stuck there being held captive by someone with nothing to lose. A guy who claims to be such a player would likely find five new women before he even hits the first stoplight, though I should probably emphasize the word "claims."

I guess I’m just done with Will Smith; whenever he pops up on my TV, I find myself switching the channel. Even if it's Independence Day, I might just stick around for the sequel if it means avoiding his movies.

Anthony Wright30 said:In my estimation, the guy threw out a provocation, took a slap in the face, and that was that. I can't help but wonder what the real difference is between this and two guys getting into a scrap at a local dive bar after too many beers. The only distinction is that these people are sipping expensive Chardonnay with full bank accounts, whereas our local types are drinking cheap domestic beer with empty pockets.
It seems that because people possess wealth and fame, we feel compelled to turn them into freaks.
I guess the real issue isn't just about the money itself. It's more that while guys like Anthony Wright30 and Joseph Clark37 just hang out at the local pub, this pretentious guy actually tried to spin it for the whole world to see. He basically tried to tie his role in that movie back to some divine mission, acting like he was chosen by God for the part. To me, that’s where the real problem lies, rather than just the payout.
I guess Henry makes a pretty good point—if you really started digging beneath the surface, you might find enough material for an entire library of horror movies.

Yeah, I noticed things were running a little sluggishly on the mobile app over the weekend. It seems like everything might be back to normal today, though.

Elizabeth Mendoza said:He’s not some troll; he just loves sharing his Smith opinions, especially with reporters at movie premieres. This isn't even his first rodeo. Rock has been poking fun at his wife since back in 2015. He was also out there making noise about the Oscar boycott because there weren't enough Black nominees.
The older they get, the more airheaded they become. That whole family is straight-up creepy—kind of like the Kardashians, but on a whole different level of weird. 🤣
If he had just walked up to the stage, taken the award, and admitted he snapped and acted without thinking—apologizing to everyone so this incident wouldn't ruin the ceremony—that might have shown some actual humanity. Instead, he spends five minutes giving a speech about how God gave him a role as a protector and how he carries love within him. It feels like the guy has lost it. When people ask why legends like Heath Ledger or Robin Williams struggled, or how Jim Carrey almost hit a breaking point, maybe we should realize that among all these millionaires, there are unstable and troubled people just like anywhere else.

Why would they even bother faking it? They haven't gotten along for years, and looking at the YouTube comments, I guess almost nobody actually thinks it was staged. It seems like 99% of people just think Will Smith lost his cool, while maybe the other 1% are trying to defend him. I mean, what would be the actual motivation for someone fighting for their first Oscar after a 30-year career to pretend to the whole world that they're just some violent, unhinged guy? This isn't an MTV Awards show or something like Jackass. For a long time, the Oscars have been this major platform where Black actors fight for representation in Hollywood and society at large. So, does it really seem likely that two prominent Black stars would coordinate a sketch where one mocks the other, only for the second guy to storm the stage in front of hundreds of millions of viewers and aggressively assault him with insults? It doesn't really feel like a sketch, and I doubt the Academy would ever approve something like that. If he had walked up and done something silly like pulling down Rock's pants so they could all laugh together, maybe that would have felt like a sketch. As it stands, it just looks like someone who might have had a bit too much to drink and lost their head.

Kyle Campbell4 said:The strike is incredibly bizarre. You can’t even see the fist making contact with the face; there is absolutely no impact visible. After this supposed blow, Chris just stood there perfectly calm, acting as if nothing had happened at all. He wasn't even slightly dazed, which would be the logical reaction if someone were to suddenly catch you off guard with a punch to the face. The entire scene feels like a rehearsed performance.
Jade wasn't cheating on Will. They have an agreement regarding an open marriage. Both of them are free to see other people sexually. Will also sleeps with other women.
Or men, too. If a marriage is open, then it's open; I guess it wouldn't really be "half-open."

I'm not quite sure the Academy would really put on a staged sketch featuring two Black men fighting on stage, especially with all that aggressive swearing, in a country where certain words are such huge social taboos. Plus, with everything happening globally regarding war and aggression, it seems odd to have this kind of stunt at the Oscars—unless maybe Rock and Smith are secretly on some foreign government's payroll. I guess I'll leave a tiny 1% chance that it was scripted, but probably not more than that. If it wasn't fake, though, I can't say I'm surprised; Will Smith has been giving off a bit of a negative vibe lately. Like my wife mentioned this morning, maybe there's actually some truth to those rumors about him and Jada.

Yellowstone National Park is wonderful, though I guess they mostly limit tourists to the perimeter areas while leaving the deep interior for researchers. We spent about four days there, and personally, I think it might actually be a better experience than visiting Machu Picchu when you're traveling through South America.

I actually thought the same thing. It might just be an engine that fell off some kind of jet.
Or maybe it's one of those rockets launched by North Korea.
