And honestly, we could probably find some neutral ground somewhere to host a little get-together at some point. 😁
Somewhere with decent food and an open bar, 🙂
where discussing tax codes or accounting principles is strictly forbidden. 😍

Carol Price4 said:Bank of America lets you do just about anything—honestly, one of the worst business banks I've dealt with...

Anyway, it's the weekend, so let's just relax...😁

I totally forgot about work—we had some stuff going on at the house, and now I can't even fall asleep because I'm so exhausted, so I popped onto the forum for a bit. 😁

Kanj, you see how as soon as you called him out, Vlado showed up! 🙂

So, I'm just taking deep breaths... relaxing... and I've even turned my phone off entirely... 🤣

And please, tell me—and feel free to correct me if I'm totally off base here—what exactly does it mean when you say THERE ARE NO STATS??? Am I living under a different rock? Because I'm sitting here over-preparing everything just to make sure my numbers look good by June 20th!

For us lucky souls, the requirement to submit those quarterly statistical reports was actually scrapped last year, 😁

Besides that, if you're still aiming to have your stats ready by June 20th, you're already way, way behind schedule... :P

🤷 You’re starting to make me nervous...😕

So, I had a client tell me today he couldn't even process his payroll through online banking because the IRS flagged him as a delinquent taxpayer—even though all his taxes were paid in full back on June 12th! Naturally, he couldn't even get a service representative on the phone...
They really need to get their act together first!

In my experience—or rather, in the experience of my clients—this sort of thing has happened more than a few times...

One of my clients headed down to Bank of America today to make a deposit, only to find herself completely stuck because she brought a transfer slip that listed an old account number instead of a proper IBAN... She did have some blank, stamped slips on hand, so she managed to fill out a new one, but the teller refused to process the deposit or even provide the necessary routing information, insisting she had to speak with her specific account manager, who, naturally, doesn't work on Saturdays...

It feels like I’m just listening to an echo of my own thoughts. 🤣

Jessica Grant56 said:I honestly don't even know how to respond to this... Who actually knows what she's getting at here?? 😍

🙂

I had initially assumed she was talking about hitting the gym or maybe going for a run, but after reading your post, I find myself having to reconsider my entire perspective on the matter.🙄
😍

I suppose I should address lili p., though I can't say I'm entirely sure what she expects from this particular conversation. kaže:
Are you actually taking a break, or are you doing what those guys at Raytheon do—staring at screens until your eyes practically melt out of your head?

I spend a good portion of my time just staring and reading, only to realize that once I finally take my glasses off, everything is a complete blur—at which point I usually just give up and call it a day. I promised myself this weekend that I wouldn't even let the thought of tax season cross my mind, yet here I am, already spiraling. For now, though, I’m strictly limiting my focus to coffee. 😍)

Jack Carter88 said:Thanks, everyone. Cheers to you all!🙂

GricGric, I'm with you there. You have to maintain a positive outlook; if you do, things tend to fall into place. It rained a bit tonight, which is actually quite nice—it means I don't have to worry about watering the garden or the flowers (always looking for the silver lining).

Henry Edwards33, I'm in the exact same boat, staring down a mountain of paperwork to get everything organized under the new sales tax regulations and a whole host of other things.

Anyway, kudos to the group. Everyone here is so hardworking and keeps us all up to date. I haven't had much time to catch up on your posts lately, but from what I can see, we're missing Vitas and Vlado3. Sending my best to them as well.

They'll finally arrive once they've managed to iron out all those little hiccups... or so I’m telling myself.
Virtual Coffee Break - Chat in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
hahaha Dubo, you can clearly see how much you’ve worn out Henry Edwards33 😛

Look, I’m telling you this because I care, but when you look up and see nothing but gray clouds, please don't just mutter about how it's going to rain—instead, try saying, "Look, you can see the sun peeking through those clouds, and it'll be out in no time once they pass by." :-))

My glass is always half full, while yours seems to be perpetually half empty...
If you just shift your perspective, I promise the whole world starts looking a little brighter.

I’m fairly certain that APIS, Carol Price4, and especially Henry Edwards33 will all agree with my little sentiment here 🙂

Sending a greeting your way too, Jack Carter88, though it's probably a bit late for coffee...🙂 🤣

Jessica Grant56 said:I haven't exactly kept a tally... but every time I earned one—aside from those health discussions where Dr. Blesimetar showed up pushing his own agenda, which caused me to distance myself from him—it felt different. A warning is fine if it makes you stop, think, realize you messed up, and move forward more carefully. But when you see someone post something and then get two and a half days of "medical leave"? Well, then it really feels like something is off. It’s almost as if someone is protecting them?? And that just leaves the rest of us, who are actually trying to help rather than just 93 milespushing people too hard, feeling frustrated.

Let's be honest here: there are moderators and admins who would truly call out "that individual" for their nonsense and wouldn't let them back onto the Forum pages easily. But then there’s Henry Edwards33, and a few others like her, who will forgive "that person" for the 27th time, saying they'll improve... even though those of us who have been around longer know they'll just keep doing the same thing, because that's just who they are.

However, just like a TV has an STBY button, the Forum has one too... The software thread has already lost several good contributors who simply couldn't deal with the drama anymore. The real question is when it'll happen to us—IF this circus being run by "that person" continues.

Maybe the answer lies in making some collective demands to the Forum owner—whether it's limiting the thread to just Synesis topics or something else. But it’s pretty clear that if that happens, the "accounting software" crowd might just close up shop.

It just goes to show how much damage a single bad screw can do to a machine...

Good grief, Jessica, I was simply asking for a number; I certainly didn't intend to throw gasoline on an already raging fire. 🙂

So, you actually don't know...

And it looks like you're out "celebrating" tonight as well. 🤣

Jessica Grant56 said:So, "that guy" claims you let me get away with everything, so here I am—counting up all the warnings you've handed me... and yeah, they were all justified. I earned them. Sometimes my fingers move faster than my brain, and when that happens, you just have to deal with the consequences—it's just how things go around here. Also, regarding that thread he started just to try and prove everyone hates you (well, everyone except me—I've got your back!), I made sure to list out all the nonsense he wrote in those three or four posts. I really hope this gets flagged by a moderator, because it isn't right if you decide how to handle "him" based on those kinds of statements.

So, what's the grand total on your warning count then? 😉

Henry Edwards33 said:Just a little bit 😉

I’m trying to rush through everything, but I can't seem to untangle the knots before I trip over my own feet and fall flat on my face. 🙄

🙂

We’ve survived much worse than this, so we’ll get through this too. 🙂

I’ve decided I’m just not cut out to handle all these moving parts myself, so I’m going to start calling in consultants for every little thing. Everything has just become a giant mess. 😵

I’m all for the celebration. 🙂

😛

And here I was, actually believing—or rather, letting myself get excited—that you were an absolute walking encyclopedia after that seminar we attended the other day. 😉🙂

I suppose I should probably address this before the inevitable wave of unsolicited opinions hits the thread. It seems there’s some confusion regarding the recent developments, and frankly, if we’re going to discuss this, we might as well do it with a modicum of clarity. I’ve spent far too much time staring at these figures to let them be misinterpreted by anyone looking for a quick headline. Let's try to keep the discourse somewhat grounded, shall we? kaže:
How wonderful. You’re sitting there at two in the morning, aimlessly browsing and trying to make sense of it all: Is it shipping? Is it local pickup? Or is it just straight-up delivery? You hop over to one page, then get redirected to another, then a third, and after bouncing around like a pinball between tabs, you eventually lose all sense of where you even started... and honestly, that becomes your entire existence for days on end.
I find myself sinking into a deep, meditative trance over the sheer complexity of the sales tax forms—it’s practically a spiritual experience at this point. Honestly, I’ve been moved to tears, though whether those are tears of joy or pure exhaustion remains to be seen. I can only offer my thanks to God that I was born in such a pivotal era, allowing me to truly get to know the intricacies of our tax code, the headache of digital fiscalization, and the endless dance of reverse charge accounting. And now, with the upcoming changes to payroll reporting this fall, sleep has become a distant, elusive luxury I simply cannot afford. ☕☕

I wasn't even aware that was being categorized as a celebration... 😍
Look at that masterpiece of work, while I’m stuck here over here endlessly shuffling through the tax code.

Desires are one thing, but Linić seems hell-bent on making sure we don't get a single moment of relief. 🙂

I suppose I should have seen this coming, though I’m rarely ever surprised by how quickly things can unravel. It seems we've reached that predictable point where everyone starts pointing fingers, as if any of us actually had a handle on the situation to begin with. Honestly, watching the collective descent into chaos is almost more entertaining than the actual events themselves, provided you have enough coffee and a decent chair. It's all quite absurd, really. kaže:
Apis, you’re out there acting like some high-society socialite at two in the morning. 😁 Two coffees at once? Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if you're celebrating some sort of private national holiday over there today. 😍

It seems this holiday is becoming positively contagious; the festivities have managed to spread across the entire country, and judging by the way Henry Edwards33 and Jessica Grant56 are celebrating, I suppose there’s no escaping it.☕

Good grief, I am absolutely floored... 😲

I stumbled upon this thread buried at the bottom of the third page... 😲

Is nobody here actually taking a coffee break? For heaven's sake, take a moment to breathe... besides, half of these new updates aren't even making sense to us yet anyway. :-))
Michelle Gonzalez50 said:And finally, I want to throw my full support behind Sarah Morales90 as a moderator; she manages to strike that rare, perfect balance between being strictly professional and genuinely human.

I don't want to clutter this thread by repeating the same sentiments, but I find myself in total agreement with everything you’ve said—especially that last sentence.!!!!
Lilly provides such a significant contribution to this community, not just through her moderation, but through the quality of her actual discussions, so I honestly think the forum wouldn't feel the same without her presence...

When to register for sales tax mid-year? in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Richard Howard55 said:That’s it. I’m done. I can't take any more of this: 🙂

The VAT regulations state... "entities must submit a filing to the IRS within the same year they begin operations..."

- so we're looking at a four-year window here

- and there's also the whole issue of submitting final accounts by today. How much time is actually left?

That is precisely how I interpret the law as well... The VAT return should be submitted during the same year that operations actually begin...

As an exception, the clock only starts ticking once the taxpayer actually begins operating; if they simply opened the LLC but haven't started working yet—meaning they only sent a notice saying the company isn't active rather than filing a standard tax form—that period doesn't count toward the start date.

The moment that final accounting statement is filed, the business activity is officially recorded...

At least, that is my take on it...

Jessica Grant56, I couldn't agree more; there’s a certain comfort in having someone around who seems to hold all the answers 🙂

I suppose we should probably come up with a new nickname—Raymond Martinez10, the walking encyclopedia 😉 (and I mean that sincerely, not sarcastically)
A friend of mine argues that knowing exactly who to ask is far more important than actually knowing everything yourself, but I find myself unable to agree. While it is certainly convenient to have people like Raymond Martinez10, the CIA, or Lili on speed dial for any random inquiry, I still think there is a distinct advantage to simply knowing things yourself... 🙂
